Hi there, I’m relatively new to this Ipsy experience so I have a question (or two).
How do you “request” things? I mean, I had to add my preferences, my skin tone, hair and eye colors when I joined but that’s all I did, I think. I’m wondering if I’m missing something.
I do give reviews every month after receiving my bag.
Hope y’all don’t I’m an idiot, I’m just new to this subscription product stuff.
I read many (but not all, yet) reviews here and guess I should share what I got in my bag this month:
#1: LAW Beauty Essentials – Nail Polish – “Smoking Mauve” – 11ml – Full Size
So – this color makes my hand look like I’ve been dead for awhile. I have
very pale, creamy white skin, with freckles. It is a very odd color on me so
I will not be using this.
#2: LORD & BERRY – Eyeliner Pencil – “Black #221” – Travel Size
I am a minimalist when it comes to make up. I used to NEVER leave the
house, unless my make up and hair were done – then I had cancer and
all of that changed. Going through chemotherapy and radiation, two hrs
away from home, driving back and forth three days per week, stopping to
throw up seven or ten times on the way home, changed all of that. I’m
currently in remission, however I completely lost the desire to goop all of
the primer, base, highlighter, bronzer, blush, blahh – blah – blah on every
day, especially in this west Texas heat. Eyes are my go-to quick pick-me-up.
On a great day, I’ll do my eyes, do more to my hair than throwing it up into
a messy bun – yes, I’m one of those now (! gasp !) and throw on a little light
lipstick or lipstain (which I LoVe because it stays relatively put – even through
multiple spewing situations. You add a little “lip sh*t (lip balm to other folks)
on after brushing your teeth and rinsing with Listerine and you’re good to go
another twenty or thirty miles until your next unscheduled pit-stop.
(SIDE BAR: Cancer essentials – *baby wipes, *Germ-X wipes bottled water,
*travel tooth brush, *paste & *travel size Lysterine are LIFESAVERS of an
adult who dribbles yuck more than newborn babies!)
#3: LUXIE 514 Brush – “Blush”
I love make-up brushes! Who doesn’t love a new toy in the arsenal?
#4: The Organic Pharmacy – Lip & Eye Cream – 10ml – Full Size
I’ll be 44 yrs old in two days so anything that may combat tired looking,
puffy, dark eyes is a hit in my book!
#5&6: bioBelle – Botanic Fiber Facial Masks “#stay gorgeous” and “i woke up like this”
Umm… Yeah, post chemotherapy and radiation skin is very temperamental
and different than any other time of your life – even compared to pregnancy
hormone changing skin – so I have to be especially careful in what I use. If
I use the wrong product(s), I’ll end up looking like a red splotchy faced juvenile.
