I would have loved some maroon and reds though still it’s great value at $1.40 a bottle
Did get two repeats even though I am not a subscriber and buy only in promotions but they can be easily passed along

Got mine today too. I also ordered the 10 and the five mystery polishes. They were all mixed together, so I don’t know which was which. I got Fiore, Kelsey, Keena, Kayla, Eliza, Bjork, Yumi, Mia, Skylla, Taurus, Katie, April, Ryan, Tomi, and Sara. I only got one repeat. My favorite from just switching them is Eliza. It is a holographic blue.

My five piece mystery add on was different:
Teri, Beth, Sienna, Margarita, Kendra
Instead of: Fiore, Yumi, Mia, Katie, Ryan
So the 10 piece grab bag included: Kelsey, Keena, Kayla, Eliza, Bjork, Skylla, Taurus, April, Tomi, Sara
Hillary
I got the same set.
Linda
I meant swatching them.

Does anyone know if julep has somewhere you can submit suggestions. I think I would be cool if they started making matching lipstick and polish sets. Not just in traditional lip colors but funky colors too like purples and blues.

I’m having problems using code freedecember, no problem with winter10. Any tips?
Reply
Siren
I couldn’t get freedecember to work either, but I did get winter10 to work with no problem. Submitted my order Sat. night. Excited for it to come! I’m going to have to make a database to organize my colors to figure out what I have!

Reggie
Are you trying to uses them both on the same order? They only allow you one code per order.

I didn’t need the big 10 piece mystery box, so I checked out with the eyeliner on sale and added my five add ons – including the 5 piece mystery box. Then I hit “edit order” and applied the Winter10 coupon to take off $10. Then I checked out again and it let me add 5 more add ons if I wanted. Just thought I’d share if it helps anyone

I’m passing in this one. I was at Sephora this week and picked up a couple great colors for $5 each. If anyone isn’t aware, they are discontinuing their Formula X line – and everything left in stores is on clearance.

Samantha
Oh my gosh! I love Formula X! Thanks for the heads up!

Am I the only one who really doesn’t like juleps polishes?! I never reach for them. They take FOREVER to dry and that’s such a pet peeve of mine. Also peel off easily.

Ragan
Use a fast-dry topcoat and they’re great.
Most 5-free polishes are not going to dry fast; the solvents that make them dry are the same things you want to avoid in a 5-free polish. (That being said, most of the fast dry topcoats are not 5-free.)

Robin
Has anyone tried gel eyeliner? Do you like it?

If you’re talking about the Julep pencil/gel eyeliners (like the ones pictured above), those are great. I have a lot of them and I use them nearly daily.
If you’re talking about regular gel eyeliners in pots, I find applying with a brush inconvenient.

Yes, thank you, the Julep ones. Good to know

This was too good to pass up! I have been thinking of joining Julep’s beauty box subscription anyway (especially with the current 6 month deal), so I rationalized this purchase by holding off on that one XD
I got the 10-piece mystery bag, and then went to checkout and added the 5-piece mystery bag and the gold angle wraps as add-ons. Went back and applied the “winter10” code, and my total order ended up being $23.53. Not bad for 15 polishes and a set of wraps!
It’s also great that they offer free shipping on orders of $10 or more. Makes me much more likely to buy from them (wait – is that great or terrible?) 😀

I just took advantage of the Friday the 13th deal last week. I was trying soo hard to resist this sale. I waited 12 hours and these are not sold out so just got the 15 for $20 deal.
Every time I think I’m out…
…they pull me back in.

I’m going nuts!!!!!
I want to pull the trigger for the mystery bag + mystery add on polishes for $20 but I can’t bring myself to do it since I have so much polish I never use! *EMOJI CRY FACE*

So from everyone’s comments I feel like I shouldn’t pass this up? What’s everyone’s experiences been from the mystery polishes like this? I’m super tempted.
Reply
Rosemary
From my experience, you will get a good variety. Probably not the newest colors, but the ones that aren’t moving as expected. I have really liked about half, and gave the others away to people who have done gorgeous manicures with them. I doubt that you will be dissapointed with the prices being so great.
One note, though…one time I bought two, and they were exactly the same bundles. So the assortment probably isn’t random.

if you subscribe and have a lot of their polishes you will likely get some repeats. I have a box I throw the repeats in for gift giving…but then I’m cheap like that

I just caved! I bought the 10 piece mystery grab bag, the journal trio as an add on, the twiggy Polish as an add on, and the gold accent nail wraps as an add on. Plus I used the winter10 promo, so I pretty much got all my add ons for free because my total was $20 🙂

I’m upset I didn’t know you could use the code for add-on. I only got the mystery bag for 20. Wish I had read comments…

me too – bummer

I should have never subscribed to julep. I spent about 44 dollars on this sale. I got the eyeshadow duo, 5 polish grab bag add on , nail decals add-on and the free 4 piece lip gloss mini. I closed out that order and started a new one. Cheers to five years 3 piece set, dancing in the night nailpolish duo. Another 5 piece grab bag addon. Then I used the winter10 coupon. I just couldn’t resist. Definitely don’t need more nail polish though.

I think the MWAHX4 code only works on nonsale items. Total bummer. That 10 piece grab bag is too good to pass up.

Although I won’t be buying anything (I use gels now) I just wanted to mention how much I love this sale. The people I gave most of my polishes to all say that their nails grew longer and healthier after using Julep polishes.
If I have to be a Negative Nancy (because I want them to fix this) I wish that Julep made some more nuanced glosses and lipsticks – along the lines of Unicorn Tears, or with nice sparkles. I find their makeup seems to be catering to those that want a conservative look.
But, overall, Julep makes really good-quality products. Splurge, Ladies.

This wasn’t your intention, but thanks for the tip. I can give some of the nail polishes as a gift!

Rosemary
They are lovely polishes, and the colors can be fantastic! Of course, I still have about 30…just in case. At first I didn’t like how “small” the bottles are, but I am still as yet to finish a bottle, so they are plenty big.
Julep was my first sub, and it is my favorite because of the level of customization and the quality of the products. My budget has forced me to skip a couple of months, but if they ever bring out a line of super-sparkly lip products I will get them all. I wonder why they don’t do limited edition colors.

10 polish mystery bag + 5 polish add on + 10 off coupon = 15 polishes for $20

Marissa
I got the 10 piece mystery Polish, the 5 piece mystery Polish add on and another add on Polish. Even with a full price Polish In my card I could never get the gloss coupon to work…SO I tried free december and it worked! Even when I removed the full price Polish! So I got 16 nail polishes for under $24!! Woop Woop! Though I wanted to try the lip gloss from them this works better for my wallet lol.

Thanks for posting! That $20 grab bag was just too good too resist. I used the code for the free polish, but it only took off $11.20 of the $14. Still a great deal to pick a shade for under $3!

The polish cost for Mavens is $11.20 so it would be free if you are a Maven (signed up for the sub box) and logged in!

WINTER10 works – $10 off $20, if you have $10 worth of mondale items in cart
Reply
LB
I think it’s $10 off $25+ … at least that’s what my card said in my Maven box. (I didn’t use that code, I got the free travel sized lip glosses instead since I bought stuff on sale)

i shouldn’t have but couldn’t resist a few items. i couldn’t get the codes for the extras to work either, but WINTER10 worked to take $10 off the addons i purchased (went through checkout, added the add-on items to cart), got to the payment page, then closed out and reopened back to cart with included add-on items and applied coupon).

Thank you so much for a great explaination. I kept trying to get this to work without success. I so appreciate you sharing how it all works!

Thanks for the step by step! I couldn’t figure out how to get the code to work until I saw this!

Teresa
I couldn’t get the two promo codes to work for free extras.
Reply
LB
I think you can only use one coupon code (if the problem is you wanted to use both). If you couldn’t use either, you have to make sure you have the item you want free (the gloss set or the “full price” nail polish) in your cart before you add the code. Then they will subtract the cost of those items from your total. Hope that helps.

I did the same thing. $10 for 15 polishes? That’s a good deal regardless of the fact that I will (inevitably) get dupes.

How did you get 15 for $10?

Same, plus one of the nail polish trios!! I had my credit card # typed in before I could even consider whether or not I really need 18 new nail polishes..

Same but also one more add on Polish lol
