Ipsy Reveals Are Up for the December 2016 Glam Bag!

I cant wait for my bag to come!! Its supposed to come within the next 2 days, and my local post office always gets it here a few days early, so i am so excited!!! I may get it tomorrow which is great. I never look at what I’m getting; i always wait till it comes!!! I am not too excited with the items up, but I’m LOVING the look of that bag itself 😀 I really want eyeliner, and the tarte tartiest lip gloss. Can’t wait!

Got my bag yesterday (and my shipping notice today lol), and tbh I’m pretty disappointed in the bag itself. Definitely leans more pink, and I hate the hair-fuzz! I wonder if I can shave it…

As for the products, I’m decently happy. I really wanted the nyx in bedroom eyes but got the purple instead. I’ll still use it and the formula is awesome, it just wasn’t my first choice. The ciate liquid lip is in a surprisingly wearable color, so I finally have my first matte lipstick I will actually wear. The Jersey shore lip balm is nice, nothing really to say about it. I haven’t tried the Josie maran marajuaca (sp?) oil, but the bottle is so cute! The gold at the top is actually like a little button that draws the oil up into the dropper. So cool!

The only thing I hate is the Ouie salt spray, which I knew already. It might be a good product, I don’t know, but I just can’t stand the old lady perfume smell of it. Ugh. Swap for sure.

I think the bag is cute this month but I was expecting something more Christmas-y tbh. I’m getting:
NYX Professional Makeup Prismatic Shadow – yay! I wanted this when I saw the spoilers!
Royal & Langnickel MODA Angle Shader Brush – I don’t know why I didn’t want brushes before, I’m glad to get them now

Hikari Cosmetics Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner in Iris – meh I suck at eyeliner
Smashbox Cosmetics Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer – meh

I’m not mad at this month. My sisters have cancelled, but I’m holding on. I’m honestly debating switching from this and Birchbox to Boxycharm in the new year. We’ll see.

Only choice the items you want on survey. If you dont want skin care leave it blank. If you want eye-shadow only check eye-shadow. It seems that I have to do this the month prior for it to work.

Is it just me, or is the bag this month pink? I swear its pink.. Lol. And it seems like the samples are getting smaller and smaller…

Its a good thing I like the maracuja oil because I am getting 6 of them. I like them for my hair and face. I still have two because I got it last month too. I am getting 6 eyeliners, I am glad they are another color besides black. 3 are iris. I am getting 3 eyeshadows, but don’t know what colors. 2 peppermint balms, that I can’t use because it has coconut oil in it, because of my nut allergy. I will give them to my sister. The two hand creams I am getting because they have coconut oil in them too. I am getting lots of lipglosses. I was hoping that with all my accounts, I would get one of the Josie Moran highlighters, but I didn’t, so I ordered one. I am getting two brushes and a sponge. I have a boat load of sponges already, but I can always use new makeup brushes. I am getting the insta matte lip product. 2 Marc Anthony hair creams, mprincess maple eyeshadow, & 2 mascaras.

I’m really happy with everything I’m getting in my bag this month!

I’ve been getting Ipsy for around two years, and my last 2 Glambags were incredibly disappointing. I think that in the last six months I have received one or two bags that I actually was happy with. I’ve been thinking about canceling Ipsy for so long but felt like emotionally attached to it. I know that may seem strange but Ipsy was the first monthly subscription bag I purchased. But then I started watching YouTube videos and also see reviews on this site, I would see all these awesome items everyone else was getting. I started to feel like I was getting the leftover junk that Ipsy didn’t really care for. You would think that loyalty, and having long term members would mean something to these companies, but I’m sad to say that’s not the case with Ipsy, because I seen and read other sites and personal bloggers who also have been long term members having the same complaints.
Anyway, I finally cancelled and have no regrets at all. I know that it’s only $10 a month but most of the stuff I received was honestly nothing but free samples that I could just pick up at any local beauty department store.

Finally reached the point of total disgust with Ipsy and cancelled after I saw my bag. I’ve had enough of getting crap I can’t use!

My Bag:

NYX Pris Shadow (Profile has NYX unchecked I don’t like NYX)

Tartiest lip paint in wcw (not my color)

Auora eyeliner blackberry or cinnamon (hopefully cinnamon that’s ok)

Marc Anthony Argon Oil Treatment (I’ll just add this to my draw with all the other hair treatments lol)

I hope I don’t come off as a “B” but it has been like this for the past few months. I’ll get maybe one item I can use and the rest I end up giving away or they just sit in my drawer. I hope you all have a better experience then I have had. If things change maybe I will resubscribe but for now I think it was time to say good bye to Ipsy.

I totally forgot to look at all the options this time around so I had no clue what could possibly be in my bag aha. Luckily it turned out alright (without me changing my answers or anything)

I really want the blush palette! I wanted it, snow cream. and the maracuja (which i got) I wish I was part of the swap, but I can’t find it.

3. NYX prismatic eyeshadow (always up to try something new, hopefully it’s in bedroom eyes or maybe fireball, not sure I’d use the rest…I already have greens from Colourpop and Loreal infallible, and that purple is really purple

4. Tarte Tarteist glossy lip paint in wcw (the berry look really pretty, excited to try)

I originally wasn’t crazy I was getting ANOTHER eyeliner but this one is purple! So I’m okay with that. I’m kind of over matte lipsticks. They dry out my lips and make them look like painted buttholes. But it looks like a nice color so I’ll try it again.

I am super irritated with ipsy’s site. It let me check the contents of my bag but not for my 2 daughter’s bags. When I click to “viewing bag,” it shoots me to the bottom and reveals NOTHING. Grr…i want to know what they’re getting too!

Hey – does anyone feel their new color/other preferences helped or improved their bag this month? I see some folks are psyched to get non-black eyeliner! With mine, I’m not sure I can tell yet. My lip color, I chose.

I tried to set my preferences to always receive nail polish, and I was excited about the color prefrences — so I was sad I didn’t get one. Then I realized they aren’t even offering one this month. LOL. That will make some people very happy 🙂

I wasn’t thrilled at first but… actually I like this bag. It made a bad first impression by repeating last month — but I will probably use, or at least enjoy trying, everything. I have never used matte liquid lipstick (at least one that actually dries down, which I think this one does?) It may not be my thing — but I will still enjoy trying it! And not having to buy it if I don’t like it. Right?? And, depending on the quality of the bag, I could potentially even use it as a wristlet. Also – this bag is awesome for not including liner or mascara. Points for that.

I am really excited about this month’s bag, the only thing I would have liked to have had is the Tarte Oil but they picked some good ones out for me!

– Ren Glycol Lactic Renewal Radiance Mask( I got this in a Birchbox once and I loved it, super excited to get it again!)
– Symphony Beauty Snow Cream Moisturizer (I have dry skin, so I need all the hydration I can get! I go through these quickly)
– Benefit Porefessional Primer (I actually bought the sample at Ulta a while back and I love it!)
– Josie Maran Argan Enlightment Illuminizer (This was also on my wish list!)
– Ciate London Liquid Velvet Lipstick in Pin-Up (This looks like a wearable color)

They nailed last month too, and I have been a member since January, so it seems like they are finally getting my preferences down.
