I’m excited about the neck cream, but not about the hand cream. I’m hoping that the last three items are makeup related.

I unsubscribed so I can join again for $10 a box for 4 months. The deal is good thru December. Black Friday wasn’t even necessary since this deal remains for a month.

I also unsubscribed to take advantage of that deal. Do I have to create a new account or can I just reinstate my old account?

Curious about this too. I unsubscribed but not sure if I need to create a new account or just reactivate my old one to get the $10 deal.

Why do they share the ounce size in the second spoiler but not the first spoiler? I would like to know that information as well!!!

I signed up for the Black Friday deal. When does the box typically ship and when do they bill? They don’t give a lot of information. I am excited to get my first box though 🙂

I also got the Black Friday deal. My account was charged on the 28th. But I’m not feeling to happy with the first two spoilers 🙁

These 2 spoilers alone have a value of $33.00 That is nearly double the cost of the box with just 2 items. What on earth are you unhappy about?

From my experience: I signed up on the 25th of October and receive the box on 11/01. They billed me November 23rd and I just received my box today (30th). So I’m thinking they are billing people when then signed up verses the 1st of the month like Ipsy and birchbox 🙂

I generally rub my moisturizer fully down my neck as I go both morning and night and any excess I rub onto the back of each hand because they show the signs of aging as well. I’m okay not having specialized neck cream but it will be interesting to try.

Same! When I use expensive moisturizer samples on the back of my hands, it feels so luxurious.

Probiotics in skincare? Why?
Reply
Jay
Because “probiotic” has become such a marketing buzzword, that consumers with minimal to zero scientific understanding of what probiotics are or how they work still recognize it as denoting something beneficial (“it has ‘pro’ right there in it- it MUST be good!”) and will be willing to spend more $$ accordingly.
Cynical? Absolutely. But also probably not inaccurate.
(I’m not saying probiotics are _only_ a buzzword – they have legitimate digestive benefits. But not much research had been done on how they could benefit skin.)

As one of several items in a ten buck box this is ok, whatever. I’ll take it over a 79th bronzer this year. But the general concept of “neck cream” I find silly – how different, really, is neck skin from facial skin that it would necessitate its own special moisturizer?

I always used antiaging and moisturizer on my neck along with face with no difference in my necks appearance but since i have been using Replenix Neckletage for a few weeks my neck looks completely different. It is firm and has almost no lines or wrinkles left. Neckletage is obviously working. The Tula has a 5 star review rating and must be working for people as well. Don’t knock it til you try it.

I agree that I’ve seen a difference in my neck when I’ve used neck cream samples. It’s so much firmer (almost to a fault though… it almost feels like my skin is stretching when I turn my head), and it’s much smoother looking too. Unfortunately, these effects were short lived as my skin is extremely sensitive on my neck, so I had to stop using them after I started to break out in red blotches and they made my skin itch like crazy (this happened with 3 different samples, so I’ve officially given up, and my mom is the very proud owner of MANY neck creams). The best I can use now is regular body lotion (even face moisturizers make me break out in red blotches on my neck 🙁 ). I figure I’m doomed to have a saggy, wrinkly neck when I’m older (it looks fine now though), and I’m okay with that. All I can do is use regular body lotions or oils after a shower, which does make it feel very smooth at least! Oh! And, of course SPF! Fortunately, I’ve never had a reaction to any SPFs. Whew!
SSM
I rather agree with you. As long as you use SPF on your neck/decolletage as well as your face every day, I think you’re doing all you can. Anything else is probably genetic.
For the record, I don’t put anything “special” around my eyes, either.

They have done Twin studies and twins often age differently. Same genetics but one can look years older than the other. So think taking care of yourself does help and the twin using block does tend to look younger….but neck cream is silly really. If you can put it on your face, makes sense it can go on the neck.
Lola
Neck skin is delicate and has a tendency to age faster than your face due to element exposure. I have alway taken care of the skin on my neck and don’t have the wrinkly wobbly neck skin that the other women in my family have gotten. Most of them have had a chin tick but at 53 mine still looks young. It’s almost as delicate as your around your eye area.

I use my regular face moisturizer and spf or if I have a rich face cream I can’t wear on my face I use it on my neck. No special creams. But the sample will be fun to try.
Jay
I agree that the neck area needs to be cared for, I just don’t believe special “neck creams” have any formula or ingredients uniquely capable of targeting neck skin in a way a decent facial moisturizer would not. I would think that over a lifetime face skin is subjected to even more “element exposure” than is neck skin, and that any accelerated aging of the neck is due to being generally less well-cared for than the face. People (and especially women) take care to exfoliate, treat, moisturize, and use spf on their faces, but I suspect necks get forgotten about more frequently. Thus, having a product labeled “for necks” probably causes people to pay attention to caring for that area – and hence, improvement.
It’s great you can see the results of dedicating care to your neck!
Ragan
I actually use eye creams that I don’t like for my eyes (like they make my eyes sting or something) on my neck.
That being said, I am set for awhile on neck creams. My final BeautyDNA box was a massive tub of neck cream that will last ages.

Has anyone received a shipping notice for a November box who bought the BTBF deal ($10/box) last week? I’m just trying to find out if our first boxes will be November’s or December’s. I don’t care either way, but just want to make sure I’m keeping tracking of my shipments/mail.

I’m pretty sure we will be getting November first then we will be charged in December for this box. I haven’t gotten a shipping notice yet though.

How do they do it!? Such great value in each box! Not 100% sure how I feel about neck cream, do you need neck cream at 31? Either way it will probably swap well if I decide I don’t want it.
Reply
Jay
It’s probably a good idea to moisturize the neck at any age, yes. But to do that you don’t need a special moisturizer that’s labeled specifically for necks. Your regular face moisturizer will do the trick. The only additional impact you’ll see with regular use of both a neck and a face moisturizer is some additional lightening of the wallet. 😆

Yep, and for some reason, “neck cream” just sounds kind of gross to me. Not sure why it gives me the willies, but it does. It also just strikes me as kind of a dated concept, like one Hollywood stars of the 30s would have used, in addition to taping back parts of their face before heading to bed every night to ward off sagginess. 😀
But hey, I’ll still take a sample of it. 😀

You want to start using neck cream BEFORE you can tell you need it!!!

Amen! Preventative is above reparative.

I’m 31 and I need it lol. I have no wrinkles on my face, but my neck doesn’t look fantastic. I lay down and bend my head forward to watch TV, and it has created lines on my neck lol. :'(

The Tula has 5 star reviews and it’s $80 for 1.7oz. I can’t wait to try it but i probably won’t ever be able to purchase a full size. It’s a little too expensive for me.

When do we sub to get December? They said you would still get November today.
Reply
Ann
I read you will get November box if you sign up up until the 30th (yesterday) If you sign up today, you should start with the December box.

Bekkah
I was charged ten immediately the other day so I probably will get a November box. Then i should be charged again in December for this box. Even if you sub tomorrow or anytime in the beginning of december you may still get a November box first. When i subbed in september they sent me a august box first then the September one. You could probably contact them and ask.
