Good to know: In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Macy’s is proud to join The Estée Lauder Companies' Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) Campaign to support Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) through the sale of the BCRF Beauty Sampler. Macy's will donate 20% to BCRF from now until December 31st.

Why did they cancel the Macys beauty box without explanation or notice? So strange that a huge corporation like that would just completely ghost everyone about it.

Donating portions of the profits to a cause does not make me more likely to buy a box. But it’s a nice bonus if I am already purchasing the box. In this case, I don’t feel like the box is worth it.

$20 for a box that worth $32 plus perfume samples? No thanks. And I’ve always been suspicious of brands that self-promote by advertising donating (your) money to causes and then seeing dinky samples/products. Like they’re not really losing profits and getting free advertising all at the same time. Probably the reason this box costs $20, but I’m slightly cynical.

They will get a hefty tax write-off too!

Come on Macy’s, you put samples given to you from various cosmetic and fragrance companies-every cent should go to BCRF!!! I am really disappointed.

Wasn’t Macy’s going to have their own subscription box?

They had a $10 one for a month or two and then discontinued it completely. They do LE boxes occasionally though.
Check out the ULTA – BCRF items for sale! They are pretty cute. You can also donate and enter to win a beauty bag valued at $599.00! That’s a deal. I hope they have everything in stock, planing on getting at least 1 of everything for extra gifts to have on hand.

Anyone who has been around beauty subs for a year has the Smashbox primer and 29 eyeliners. They say they’ll donate $4 of this to breast cancer – just write a $4 check to a breast cancer org of your choice (or more), and you’ll be sure of it.

I just purchased this! I love anything that supports breast cancer and this is also a great value for the box! I can’t wait to get it! Also, if you buy this box, a free 3-day sample of skincare stuff is added to your cart as an extra. It was pretty sweet 😀
