    (1) Young Blood .8 oz tube mascara in black
    (1) Neova Smart Skincare kit sample (this has 5 sample tubes eye lift/dna total repair/night therapy/clarify)
    Then 21 of assorted foil packs which I am ok with (know not popular with some) from Glytone, Avene, Glamglow, Dermalogica, Youth Eye, NeoStrata, Elta MD, Neocutis

  2. Ok, so here’s my update since my additional products JUST got here. They sent me:

    2 oz Obagi foaming gel cleanser
    1 oz Glytone mild gel cleanser
    1.69 oz Avene Xera Calm cleansing oil
    .17 oz Glytone mild gel wash (not sure if this is different than the above cleanser)
    .17 oz Glytone antioxidant anti-aging serum
    .17 oz Glytone antioxidant anti-aging night cream
    .17 oz Glytone sunscreen lotion
    .09 oz Youngblood lip gloss in fantasy

    Overall my experience with this company has been underwhelming. I was really looking forward to trying some new higher end spa and medical brands and originally it seemed like such a good value. I’m happy that they sent me more products because my original box was a joke but what they sent the second time around really wasn’t much better. All the large deluxe samples were cleansers (literally the cheapest skin care item) and 2 of them are designed for oily skin which I don’t have. This seemed like a good deal but most of the products won’t be used unfortunately. I wouldn’t buy another box from them but I might give them another try to just buy beauty products (if I ever work through my beauty supply stash) because they do have pretty good customer service and they tried to make it right.

    • My additional items were similar – except I did not get the Avene cleansing product, but instead received a small dermalogica toner. It’s funny – because when I called to complain, I specifically asked if they could include any Avene in the follow-up package and they said there were no Avene items available. I did not receive the lip gloss item. Agreed that the overall experience was underwhelming as the first bag was so pitiful. I also would not do another beauty bag purchase – unless contents were revealed and known in advance.

      • Oh no that sucks for you because I actually got an excellent bag. My included a bunch of cleansers which i love and all the brands were high end. Along with my bag i got a awesome coupon to buy a full size item which i look forward to instead of buying a bunch of cheap bags i will actually invest in an item from their online store.

        My bag included the following.

    • I just got almost the same thing (I ordered the deluxe bag and three of the small bags) and I’m very impressed! I didn’t receive the Avene but I was very excited to receive the Obagi foaming gel (that is a nice sized plastic bottle and a great brand!) and the Obagi Medical SPF 50 Matte sunscreen. That might not make other people excited but I am always on the hunt for a good high SPF sunscreen or sunblock and I was extremely pleased to be able to try something that is perfect for me (even though I tend to wear much higher SPF!). They have great brands and I think the choices and sizes are much better than Ipsy and Birchbox.

      I would order from them again for sure.

      • I ordered Oct 24th and just got my order today I guess they had a issue with my credit card, but it was worth the wait. I ordered one $15 bag and two $5 bags and I was very happy with what I got. I already put in a order for three more. I was really impressed with all the samples, and happy that my smaller bags weren’t just repeats of the deluxe bag. The only thing I didn’t like was so many sunscreen samples I never use them, but most people would so I see why they add them. I can’t wait to try the new brands I’ve already found a couple I want to buy the larger size. Some of them are so expensive in regular size I will probably wait until after Christmas. Thanks for posting this link I am pleasantly surprised.

  3. My order arrived today (a deluxe bag and the oily skin/acne $5 bag). It does appear that they restocked, because mine were crammed full, and almost all of the items are things I will use. I did get a predominance of glytone and dermalogica, but I’m fine with that.

  4. I emailed them to cancel my order but today got shipping notice. Haha. Lesson learned not to deal with them again.

    • I ordered twelve days ago, and didn’t hear anything back until I got a shipping notice today. After reading the reviews I was hoping they lost my order.

    • The last couple comments looks like they are sending better/ more samples. I’m hoping to get pleasantly surprised.

  5. I had not seen any movement on my order placed over a week ago, so I came here to look at the comments and was very concerned. I sent an email to customer service and I also called them, and someone answered right away. I told her my concerns (few items actually being received, bag not being what it was advertised to be, etc…) and she told me they are waiting for product to be restocked, and that is why it’s taking so long. I told her I was fine with that, and was happy to wait to get the full amount of the product for the bag, and kept my order.
    The email I sent was answered within a few hours regarding my inquiry as to why it was taking so long. This is their response: “Thank you for shopping with All beauty bag orders will be shipped on Friday November 4, 2016. Please accept our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience. Due to a very large amount of Beauty Bags orders, our warehouse is a little back tracked with shipments. We will expedite your order at no extra cost. Thank you and have a great day. ”
    I’m hoping that the gal I talked to gave me good information, and that I will receive a “full” bag (I ordered the $15 one and the $5 one) and I will report back once I receive it. She was very nice, and kindly answered my questions.

  6. My first $15 bag was a joke with 3 tiny non-foil items and 14 foils. Customer Service sent a second shipment with 4 decent deluxe samples (Glytone Age Defying 4 sample pack, Dermalogica toner 1 oz, Obaji foaming gel 2 oz, and Glytone mild gel cleaner 1 oz) and 1 more tiny Glytone tube, but it was one I liked from another box. I’m satisfied with the overall value, just not the overall experience.

    • I received the same additional items.

  7. I wanted to buy Dermalogica bag, but they were not available. So, I bought one of the $5 bag (normal to dry & anti-aging). Here are what I received.

    Not sure what I think of it… I wish the “deluxe” samples were bigger. My trick to keep my foil samples fresh is to pour the product into a small empty pot, like the ones Sephora gives out samples in. I keep a few of them cleaned and ready to go. Might not be good for something so thin, but works great for eye cream which you only need to use a little.

    • I ordered a $15 and a $5. I think you did pretty good for the $5 bag. I hope I get to try that many different products even if they are foil. I was hoping they lost my order with the other reviews I read on here.

  8. I ordered after seeing all the pics showing really great samples but after reading the comments on here i emailed them and canceled. They refunded me within an hour. I think they ran out of all the nice deluxe samples since they had too many orders so started just sending leftover foils. They should have stopped taking orders until they could restock.

  9. I bought one of the $5 boxes. Three tiny deluxe samples (Avene serum, Phytomer hand cream, and Revision face cream, all 0.1fl oz or less), and 8 foil samples. It’s like getting a gift with purchase without the actual purchase LOL. At least I’m glad I only spent $5, and I am actually excited to try the tiny overpriced Avene serum sample.

  10. After reading some of the things on here, I emailed this morning to cancel my order i placed last week. They canceled and reversed the charge right away.

    • I just emailed them to cancel too. I hope I’m as successful as you were.

    • I canceled last night and today I received a response that yes it will be canceled – also received my payment reversal.

  11. Has anyone who has reached out to BeautifiedYou heard back? I try calling their 1-888 number, but no one picks up the phone.

    I had sent an email explaining my dissatisfaction with the deluxe beauty bag. They did email me back and asked for photos – which I have sent them.

    I’m really hoping to have a good customer service experience. But I’m worried!!

    • I’m having the same experience. I called them Friday and they asked me to send an email with pictures, so I did, then they emailed again and asked for pictures of the actual bag my suff came in. I sent that and then haven’t heard from them since. I don’t have high hopes and if I don’t hear back from them within the next couple days I’ll be taking it up with my bank since what I was getting was misrepresented. Not happy about this whole experience .

      • I have had such positive customer service experiences with Dermstore, Amazon, Tarte, New Beauty and Sephora.

        But to feel like I just got scammed of $15 – it really leaves a bad taste in your mouth!

    • Just this morning I checked my order status and it said ‘waiting for fulfillment’. I emailed them that I am perfectly fine waiting until they get proper quantity/quality of samples in but that I will not accept an inferior bag and will return it for full refund. Or should I just ask them to cancel the order?

      • If I could have read these comments and still canceled my order – I would have cancelled. I’ll keep this thread updated on what I receive in the follow-up shipment that BeautifiedYou is sending me to provide some additional items.

    • I just called and they picked up right away. She said that is the correct bag. She said the pictures we are seeing of the good bags are old pictures. I told her there was supposed to be $50 worth of products and there is no way this is $50 worth. She asked me to send a picture of what I got. She did say that they are getting lots of complaints.

      • I called and was able to speak to someone as well. They reviewed the photo I submitted of my bag and said that I did not receive all of the products. It sounded like they were going to ship out a few additional items to me. It doesn’t sound like my bag will be as good as the photo Liz posted and the photos posted on Reddit, but hopefully the additional items that they send will help reduce some of my dissatisfaction with this purchase. I’ve already received a 2nd shipping notice.

        I did state that I would prefer a refund – but they required me to send back the bag I received. Returning the bag would cause me to incur extra shipping costs – at this point I hope the extra products sent in the second shipment help me feel better overall about the purchase.

        It seems that the company was overwhelmed with new orders and as such the bags now being prepared aren’t as good as the ones prepared one or two weeks ago.

        I don’t think I have any appetite left for mystery boxes. I’ll stick with fully disclosed purchases from now on.

    • i received a shipping notice this afternoon for items CS determined were missing. Fingers crossed.

  12. I guess I lucked out. For some reason BeautifiedYou cancelled my order while the bank was processing the payment. No idea why, I even called my bank and they could not tell me why it was cancelled. Looks like I dodged a bad bag.

    • Interesting. The deluxe bag is currently listed as not available on the BeautifiedYou website.

      I’ve submitted an inquiry/complaint to the BeautifiedYou customer service team. Hopefully their customer service team provides a satisfactory solution to those of us who received the deluxe bags which were anything but deluxe.

    • The same thing happened to me, although the payment had already gone through (but is now no longer anywhere on my cc statement). Looks like I dodged a disappointing bullet.

  13. I just received my box and I’m as disappointed as everyone else. There is not nearly as many samples as pictured and only 5 of the samples I got were “deluxe.” On top of that the deluxe samples I got were mostly TINY! The deluxe samples I received were a .1 oz Avene Intensive Cream (seriously tiny, might as well be a foil packet,) a .11 oz B. Kamins eye cream (again TINY,) a .2 oz Epionce nourishing cream (the tiny pattern continues,) a 1 oz Dermalogica dermal clay cleanser (unfortunately I’m allergic to most Dermalogica products, not their fault but frustrating that this is one of my bigger samples,) and a 1 oz Glytone mild gel cleanser. I also received 13 foil packets, 4 of which were Dermalogica so I won’t be able to use them. ? I also received the Foreo bag which isn’t horrible but kind of weird if you don’t own a Foreo, I would have rather had the bag pictured or just some more deluxe samples instead. Overall extremely unimpressed with this company and dissatisfied with my purchase. After reading the comments I also think it’s pretty bad that they changed their website to say “up to a $50 value.”

      • Wow, now I’m even more irritated. I was going to just let it go but now I think I will give them a call and see why there was such a huge discrepancy with what I got. It’s almost laughable it’s so different.

        • I know! If I had received a deluxe bag similar in value to the image posted by Liz in this post or similar in value to this recent post on Reddit – I would have been over the moon! I could also have foreseen myself making regular purchases of the deluxe bag from BeautifiedYou in the future. Now I’m so disappointed. Why would BeautifiedYou alienate so many first time customers from MSA?

    Sadly, mine haven’t even shipped yet!
    Doesn’t look good for me. I am expecting shaving and foot cream samples!

  16. Did anyone even get the right bag? My tiny foils (including men’s shave samples??) came in a leftover Foreo bag. Not even close to the description.

      • What a disappointment! Not okay for this company to not deliver a deluxe bag of $50 value.

        I understand the MSA post could have generated a lot of increased orders – but that isn’t reason to to not deliver the full value of the product ordered. They should have either stopped takeong orders when product ran out… or they could have waited to ship orders until they could properly assemble the deluxe beauty bags.

        Providing an old foreo bag with some foils and a few teeny tiny deluxe samples (including men’s shaving cream) does not equate to the $50 value deluxe beauty bag that we ordered.

        What a sham!!! This doesn’t make me want to reorder ever from BeautifiedYou!

    • Also got the foreo bag. Included were 6 of the tiniest deluxe samples and then 12 foils – and these were super small foils at that. And of those foils – 3 were for men’s shaving cream.

      I think this must qualify as my worst beauty bag purchase ever.

  17. I received my bag today – 12 foils, 6 deluxe and the bag. The bag is nice, the deluxe are 3 Avene tubes, Glycine cleanser, Neostrata spf creme, Epionce creme (tiny). The foils: 5 dermatologica, Art of Shaving trio, Eminence mask, Glamglow mask, 2 neostrata, dr. Hauschka, is clinical. Not too impressed

  18. Yeah I’m pretty disappointed. The picture doesn’t remotely represent what we received. Yes it’s at least $15 worth, but I wont be ordering this one again lol

    • As I mentioned above, the description of the deluxe bag is that you will receive $50 of mystery products. I am reaching out to customer service.

      I wonder if they got overwhelmed by orders from MSA readers? Still they shouldn’t take orders that can’t be properly fulfilled.

  19. I just received my deluxe $15 bag and was honestly pretty disappointed. There were 5 deluxe samples, three of which were Avene, one was a foot relief gel, and the other a skin care tube. All deluxe samples were no greater than 6 ml, so in other words they were all pretty tiny. Also included were 12 foil samples (one was a three pack). Aaaand, the three pack + one other foil were shaving samples, which I will not use. I calculated the value of the deluxe samples and they came out to about $32, so I did get my money’s worth. It was just a bit of a let down, especially compared to the photo up in the post! The website does say that there will be a total of 10 samples, deluxe or foil, so I definitely received more than they advertised.

    • Hmmm. That is disappointing!!! I ordered a deluxe as well. I just read the details and it promises $50 in value. If my bag is similar – I am definitely going to call and complain. Doesn’t seem right.

      • Better take a screenshot of the promised $50 value on the site, in case it becomes debatable.

          • Did it say “up to $50” or “at least $50” value when you captured it? It now reads up to, but that is changed, I think.

          • It says, or rather said, “A 50 dollar value”. I took a screen shot. They have now changed it, but when I bought it they said 50 dollars.

          • Super shady. False advertising in my opinion. I didn’t get what I purchased. It’s not the right bag, it’s not a 50 dollar value. I feel cheated.

          • If BeautifiedYou does not correct this and deliver a $50 value (female products only please!)… I intend to dispute with my credit card.

      • I ordered the $15 and both of the $5 bags so I figure surely there will be several that I can use.

        It sounds like the delivery was pretty quick so that’s always a plus!

    • A $50 value of all things beauty (may include skin care, nail polish, cosmetic, and/or hair care samples)

      ^^^ if my contents are similar and only represent $30 of value, I am definitely going to call customer service and indicate that some of my items were missing.

    • This is pretty much the same thing I got. 6 deluxe samples. 3 were avene. 11 foil packets, 2 of which are shaving oils. I’m pretty disappointed. I think if I was shown what I would get I wouldn’t even value it at 15 dollars, I’m sure it’s around 30 dollars in value but it definitely doesn’t live up to expectations.

  21. As soon at I seen it I went right to the site. Silly cat had to wake me up. I bought the bigger 15 dollar one and went back to sleep only to get back up to come back and read that there were 5 dollar bags too. What the hell…. The is nuts….. I just have not self control anymore….

  23. I saw this post last night, but resisted buying, dutifully went through the family routine, late at night did research on these bags. Decided to skip, because, you know, I am strong and don’t really need them. This morning, first thing, I come online and order the bags, like a zombie. Not sure what is going on with me?

  25. These bags have actually been around for awhile, and are sold year-round. I just thought I’d throw that out there in case anybody was suffering from FOMO. 🙂

    Back in the early Spring I ordered all of the bags offered at the time (I think a couple may have changed since then.). I’m a huge skincare junkie, so I just HAD to try them all out. 🙂 The amount- and types of samples I received in the $15 bag matched the picture posted. I think the $5 bags had “only” 10 samples in them with about two or three of them being deluxe size. The $15 bag is an AWESOME deal because this is like a GWP that would come with a greater than $200 purchase.

    Some samples look different than what I received earlier this year, but I think I’m going to hold out until early next year to buy the bags again. It’s a lot of samples, so I think purchasing these once per year is good enough for me. 🙂

  27. The best experience I ever had, sample wise, was purchasing a beach wave curling iron at a Dillard’s counter in Lenox Mall in Atlanta during the recent hurricane evacuation. The sales person gave me 3 small pots of Glamglow (Glamglow!!!! not the deluxe tube but enough for 2 or so uses each), a deluxe sized Stila liquid lipstick, a deluxe setting powder, and another few that I can’t remember. Maybe she just felt bad for me for having to evacuate but it was like Christmas! I can spend endless amounts of money at Ulta and never get offered any samples.

    • You have to watch Ulta online for the freebies. (Plus points. I have $375 worth right now that I am hoarding until their holiday 20% off coupons and a good beauty bag/GWP or two.)

      • Back in the day when I used to frequent ULTA, the points did expire. Make sure you don’t loose yours.

        • If you’re Platinum, the points don’t expire.

          • If such a thing existed, I would be like quadruple platinum…

            I actually read that Ulta is thinking about creating another level above Platinum… sort of like Sephora’s VIB Rouge. They sent out a survey to gauge people’s reactions. In order to get to that level, one would have to spend $1,500!!!! Ah! They gave about 8 different scenarios of benefits, asking which combo people would prefer. But, for that price I don’t think it’d be worth any of those scenarios. I think the spending level is set, as they were only asking about what combo of benefits one would prefer.

            Just like VIB Rouge I think it would be fine to reach Ulta’s Titanium(?) status if I just happen to naturally reach it, but I would never aspire to reach those statuses… the benefits (potential benefits in Ulta’s case) for those statuses aren’t even worth bragging rights. (I say that because we all know people love to brag they’re at VIB Rouge status. 😉 )

      • Ulta’s awesome for freebies! I actually think they give some of the best GWP bags for the amount you have to pay. If you strategize your purchases right, you can get a TON of free stuff!

        I’m just like you re hoarding my points. 🙂 I have almost $600 saved, and I’ve been saving them since early spring to see what kind of deals & GWP they’ll be offering in November & Decembet. Have fun using them!

  28. Ordered the $15 bag and the $5 for aging skin. No shipping cost (which is always a bonus). I figured if I can justify the cost if I get some good quality samples.
    Same here with my Sephora…I have found that the ones in the JCPenny stores tend to be more generous with offering samples.

  33. It’s a good deal value wise. My issue with foil skincare packets is the fact that you can only use them once or twice. This is fine for makeup, but with skincare using the product in your “regimen” everyday is how I get a feel for how it works on me. And if it really does battle fine lines or not cause breakouts.

    • I clip foils closed. Depending on what it is, I can easily get a week out of one.

  34. This looks like a great deal- lots of solid brands. I ordered one of the smaller bags for my boyfriend since he’s always coveting my sub boxes and skincare products.

  35. Most of these look like free samples you would get when you show at Sephora or other nice shops. Why would any one pay for foil samples?? This seems really sad that people have come to charge for free samples.

    • Not everyone has a store they can go to.

    • I don’t want to go out to where my Sephora or mall is – waste of my time and gas. So $15.00 ….totally worth it.

      • The deluxe looks like it’s mostly great size samples. This comes in subscription boxes all the time and people buy them like candy. The only this different is that this comes in a bag. Right! I am with ya laura.

    • Sephora employees never offer me samples at checkout, even though they are supposed to. When I ask for them, they scoff at me and roll their eyes like I’m a hobo. For $15 I’ll gladly avoid those little snots.

      • Right away, I also spot two professional lines only sold by authorized spas/certified estheticians. I’d love to get samples from the highest quality skincare available (which aren’t sold at mass retailers).

      • That is bad. I had a similar experience at a Chanel counter. As a treat for my birthday, I bought a $40 lipstick, and not only did she not ask me if I would like a sample or two, she asked me if I would like a bag. I said that a bag would be nice, she gave me a regular plastic bag, not the paper Chanel bag. Then when I asked for a sample, she rooted around in a pile and came up with a tiny half empty makeup remover sample. The whole experience felt like a fast food drive-through.

      • Lol! They’ve always been nice at my local Sephora, but no freebies here either.

      • Same, never have I been offered ANYTHING sephora store, not even a sauirt of perfume – I rarely even get a hello from an employee. I’m pretty sure they think I’m trash honestly, haha

        • From online you get at least 3 samples. And they regularly offer bags full of samples with purchase. IMO this should also be a gift with purchase. Spend $15 on something and get the bag free. They don’t have to pay for the samples.

        • I guess I’m lucky at my nearest store. I’ve walked out with six or seven samples at times from Sephora. However I noticed if I am being waited upon by a male I get less samples that are less full. The women with the exception of one guy seem more willing to give bigger and more samples. They even make suggestions to compare products with.

  36. When I clicked on the link their site said 10 samples are included in the bag, but that looks like a lot more than 10. I wonder if they only count the larger samples? It did say samples are chosen at random and will vary according to their stock on hand.

    • The Deluxe for $15 has more. This looks like a pretty good way to sample a few things before you buy. I love Avene too, so that would be good.
      I understand that I most likely will not get the same items but I’m willing to take a risk for $15

    • I just bought this, and for $15 they say you get 10 samples. I would be excited to get the bag posted, but I wouldn’t count on it she has a lot more than 10 items. I think for 15 dollars I will be happy because I like the brands they’re sampling. I added a couple 5 dollar ones to increase my chances of getting new brands I haven’t tried.
