So do you have to pay the $50 every month? I’m from Finland so that might become too expencive…

Wow, great idea for a sub – those are adorable.

Sadly, I never wear dresses or skirts anymore as my fat butt always looks horrible in them. Beige or black stretch pants and baggy shirts are my daily routine at this point, lol.

I’m a size xl and signed up. If you need variations of sizes please let me know. I’d be glad to help out and submit photos!

I just signed up! I’m in a group and we help charities all while dressed up pin up and retro so any dress I get will go to some use. I’m really excited about this one!

I love vintage dresses – I love the dresses on this website! The price of this sub is very good if the quality and styling and fit of the dresses are good. Looking forward to the review and yes yes please use more plus size models/reviewers!

I think you should put their shipping price for this subscription which is $7 in your post so that everyone know what they will actually have to pay.

Thanks for letting me know. Sorry about that! I’ll add it to the post!

Toni

Yes please ,I love the style of these dresses

Just took a look at their website.
I am in love.
They have clothing in styles from the 1920’s to the 1960’s.
Don’t know that i would necessarily sub but some some
dresses I am definitely considering.
Would definitely like to see reviewed.

I subscribed to this recently and just got my first dress a few days ago. There is a $7 shipping charge and returns are at your own expense ($6 taken out of the credit you get for not keeping the dress). This month’s dress was really cute, though, and I’m really happy with it. I got this dress (http://www.unique-vintage.com/unique-vintage-green-plaid-print-amelia-cap-sleeve-swing-dress.html) in size S.

Very Nice! and I see this one sells for $88.00 as well so that’s a pretty good value at $57.00!

Rebecca

How is the quality? I would hope at full cost or essentially $57 for subscribers, it’s good.

Thanks for sharing this!

Quality isn’t stellar, but it’s okay. The fabric is pretty cheap materials (polyester and rayon) and thin, but it’s very soft and flowy. Construction is decent and the bodice is lined, which is quite nice. I would not have paid full price for this dress, but I’m really happy with the price of the sub, especially since I think the fun surprise of unboxing the dress is worth paying a little extra for.

I have to say, though, sizing up may be a good idea. I’m generally between a size XS to S and this dress had be briefly wondering if I needed to go up to M. It fits, but it’s definitely more snug than I’m used to.

Zo

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering if the box would be the clearance items that are now under $50 but am glad to see it’s current items priced higher than the cost of the box. I love that dress!

I love your new dress! I would have been very happy with it too! Not crazy about the shipping charges but may have to give this one a try.

I’d love a review of this sub! Thank you Ragan!! 🙂

Well everyone, I signed up and will start reviewing (complete with modeling shots!) next month. Crossing my fingers that I chose the right size because I don’t fit neatly into the measurement categories on their size chart…but I wear dresses in similar styles to work and they’re a lot of fun.

Deionna

Yay! Can’t wait for the review!

Awesome! My plus size daughter is going to love this. She has paid a lot more for her vintage dresses. More like from 60 to 90 plus shipping.

Would love a review!!

I think it would be great to see a review for both the average and plus sized MSA readers.

Great idea! We’ll try to make it happen! 🙂

Sounds like a wonderful sub that’s different from the others. Two things I already like:

1.) Sizes for ALL body types

2.) Not being locked into having to keep a dress you don’t like, and not being dinged for returning it.

Looking forward to the reviews on this one!

Their sizing is skewed low, though. I typically wear an 18/2X, but according to their size chart, I should probably order the 4X.

Reply ButtonReply

Catherine T

Its British sizing.

Bradi

Sounds like their sizes are more reasonable and not vanity sizing to me. I really wish we could just plug in our measurements and not an arbitrary number so we could get truly fitted clothing instead of just hoping we got it right.

Betty

yikes, good catch on sizing difference. Sounds like they may go by “wedding dress” sizing.

Rebecca

Agreed! The size thing is promising. I mean, I’m somewhere in the middle, but I’ve been significantly heavier and a good amount lighter. I know how easy it is to find cute clothes when you’re a size 4/6 or XS and how hard it is when you’re over a size 10/12 or L. We all should be able to look and feel beautiful and confident, regardless of size!

You should try shopping at the mall near me. Everything in size 10-16 and nothing smaller, plus some additional plus size stores outside the department stores. I am a size 4 and I walked away empty-handed. Wasted an entire afternoon and couldn’t find a single pair of pants.

Rebecca

I’m definitely interested in seeing reviews of this. So you pay $50, they send you a dress, and if you like it, you keep it? If you don’t, you send it back and don’t pay the next month?

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Correct, you keep it! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Sounds like it’s not that much of a risk – still want to see at least one review first, though! Thank you!

Wendy

Would love to see a review (especially of plus sizes!)

Karol

Looks like you need vintage undergarments too, like girdles and cinches. Spanx just didn’t do the trick back in the 50’s. Although, women were zaftig then too.

Reply ButtonReply

Jodie

Can’t wait to see what they send! I love vintage style dresses looks fun

KELLY WEBER

Yes, please review. It sounds awesome

Donna

If I only had the figure that I had when those were in style…….alas..

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

I’d love to see a review!
These are so expensive but if they offer some amazing product I’d love to see it!

Reply ButtonReply

Shiree S.

Yes, yes. Please review! I have a little obsession with vintage dresses. I am excited to see what they send out. I will also live vicariously through your review. I don’t exactly have the body type that these kind of dresses look good on. But I do love them. This is a very exciting subscription box. I may have to try it out and see if any of them work for me, but first I want to see what they may send out.

Wiley

$50 is way too expensive for one night.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristie

? It’s your dress, you can wear it as much as you want. $50 for any decent quality dress is a steal

I love vintage dresses so yes please review!!
