New $10 Subscription from GlobeIn – GlobeIn Club!

GlobeIn is launching a new subscription box - and they're letting MSA readers know about it first!

The Subscription Box: GlobeIn Club

The Cost: $10

The Products:"GlobeIn Club members will receive one artisan product (it can be anything from a mug to jewelry to home decor products) each month. In addition members can add more fair trade products to their monthly package (the "empowerment pack") at exclusive, members-only prices."

Members who join before September 31st will receive their first package by mid-October.

This is excellent! I’m ecstatic Globe In is giving mysubscriptionaddiction first crack at their new offer, I’m in!

Just subbed. (Already have the Benefit Basket and Artisan Box.) I’m hoping maybe in the future they can mail all three together? It might be tough logistically, but I think it would be perfect with their mission to be able to reduce packages shipped, packing materials and so forth. Either way I’m excited to add this one on! (Though I most certainly don’t need it, lol.)

Agreed! I would love it if they could send multiple plans in one package. It does seem wasteful to send the artisan, benefit and/or club separately if one is subscribed to two or all of the plans.

For anyone interested, here are the current “add-ons” available for the October box, as well as the discounted prices:

Set of 3 baskets (color choices of red, blue, or green): $20 (was $36)

Artisan boxes (Wander, Pamper, Picnic, Eco-Clean): $35 (was $50)

“Jewelry Box”: $50 (was $70)

Charcoal Fairtrade Scarf: $15 (was $22)

Kitenge Tote: $12 (was $20)

Cocoa Powder: $4.50 (was $5)

Hand Painted Mug: $15 (was $18)

Also: The Club Add-On page makes no mention of availability of these items (whether they can “sell out” or whether new items will be added later.) Hope this helps!

I am gonna wait and see if they have a add an extra treat with your first time signing up. I keep going back to the LLB 10 dollar box and to have a 15 dollar price tag is maybe low. Helping out other small sellers from other countries is half the point so all in all let stop being selfish. I am still gonna wait because Oct seems far away right now,

I keep trying to subscribe but it does nothing when I push “place order”, I did it several times and now I’m worried I’ll have multiple subs and the site is just glitched :/

I am having the same issue; the “place order” buttons are not functioning- nothing happens when you click on them. (For reference, I’m on my cell phone signing up with PayPal payment.) I’ve tried twice and encountered the same issue both times. I’ll try again on my PC later today… Wonder what the problem is?

I was just able to sign up using my PC.

Not sure if that means that the issue was corrected, or merely that the issue was “mobile site” based.

Sounds awesome but am I reading that right, you could just get a basket?? That’s only a $12 value not to mention if you sub to the other boxes you already get baskets. I have no idea what to do with them all lol.

It seems to me that there is one product you get, the Palm basket being just one of the choices. Am I reading it correctly?

I don’t understand the difference between this sub and the Benefit Basket.

I think with the Club subscription you get one item without the basket (unless the one item happens to be a basket). With the Benefit basket you get one item plus the basket.

I’ve been waiting for this since GlobeIn announced it months ago. I thought the $10 was just to cover a basket and an entrance fee to a Julep-like secret store where regular GlobeIn store stuff would be offered at a discount. The addition of an item to the basket as part of the price is a nice surprise… already signed up this morning

Also, I get the other two GlobeIn subs. They seem to go out of their way to make sure the box and basket are complementary, not overlapping. I trust them to do the same here.

This doesn’t sound like you are getting a basket, it says a fair trade item…think cup, basket or jewelry. Sounds like for $10 you will get an item worth at least $15

How exciting! I love this sub but can never fully justify a higher priced box to myself so this is perfect. I would love to see bracelets, necklaces or bags featured.

I agree 100% with Katy. I just hope it’s not just one product? Also, the “receive at least $15 worth of product retail value” makes me wonder. Every single box out there we receive way more than just $5 above the price we pay. I’m going to try it out, but in my mind I think I will be cancelling after the first month because of the low value. I’m hoping I am wrong!

I think the point of this subscription is at least in part to support artists in developing countries, not to get as much as possible for your money.

do you know if the items will be duplicated with other subs – I have the basket and was wondering if they would duplicate the globein club item with our basket items

We will aim to not duplicate them items from our other subscription options. But we cannot make any promises…yet.

I can tell you though that the first month will feature a brand new product, which I am sure you will love 🙂

I have only been able to afford a couple of the Globein Artisan boxes so for me feel free to send items from other boxes

Michele, on their site it says “Customize your empowerment pack every month”. I’m not sure if that means we can choose from a couple different products they offer each month????

With GlobeIn Club you will receive one artisan product per month. You won’t be able to choose it. However, you will be able to customize your monthly package with add-on items that you can purchase at special, members-only prices.
