Futurama T-Shirt Hoodie - Value $20-25?

This month's Loot Wearable item was a t-shirt hoodie featuring Futurama! I was excited for Futurama, but not so excited at the thought of a t-shirt hoodie (are these a new trend?).

Here's a look at the graphic. I love it - as you may know, I like subtle geekiness, so this really fits the bill.

The fit is a pretty drastic difference from the same size t-shirt. It fits like a 'slim-fit' shirt, it's much smaller/tighter than a shirt of the same size. The material is light - which is what I had assumed from a t-shirt hoodie.

Here's the hood up!

Besides the sizing, I also thought it was odd to have an unfinished hem line on the sleeves. All other edges are finished as expected, but the sleeve has a 'cut off'/unfinished look that isn't nice looking at all. I guess they're going for the "I had a long sleeve hoodie and just cut the sleeves off" look? Either way - I like the hoodie enough to get these hemmed.

Verdict: I liked this month's Loot Wearable. I was questioning if I'd like a t-shirt hoodie, and I do, but I think that I'd classify it as something I'd only wear at home because of that - in fact, I'm still wearing it right now. I love Futurama and subtle geekiness - so this hit the nail on the head. My main issue is the quality and sizing of it - it's too small for the size, and the unfinished sleeves make the shirt look incomplete - whether that is intentional or not is up for debate.

I was disappointed in the smaller sizing as well. It’s definitely not made for women with larger busts. 🙁

They actually sized mine down a size and it’s a little tight especially in the bust so I was disappointed. I contacted customer service and they said they sized down since it was men’s sizing and if I wanted to exchange it I could send it in. But I’m a little upset that I have to pay to send it in when I did not ask for a different size. Hoodies are meant to be oversized, and most women’s shirts are cut to accommodate the bust where men’s are not. I don’t feel like I should have to pay the shipping cost for it.

We were so excited for the Futurama hoodie! I wish the print had been more noticeable. On yours, it seems to stand out, but on ours, you can barely see it, unless you are directly in the light. What is the sense in having a hoodie with a cool design if no one else can see it, unless they are right on top of you. :/

I think a long-sleeve T shirt underneath would complete the look. It’s SO cool except for the sleeves. I’d probably sew a coordinating pair on.

That’s what Liz and I were thinking as well. I’m still wearing it and I really like it. It’s nice to have the hoodie pocket on a tee in the summer!
