Bummed this is sold out – I’ve never purchased one of these but I was so envious of people who got the last one I wanted to get this one. I avoided it with all of the issues I read about in the post yesterday. I see this post today and it’s sold out. 🙁

I had tried to order this box this morning and ended up with an error message and two pending charges. I was able to put the order through when it became available again and received a confirmation email. I just checked my bank account and all pending charges are gone. Whew! But not cool how the whole thing was handled though.

Maybe it’s tinfoil hat time for me, but I can’t help but feel like the glitches are them trying to stop people from using codes.

Wow. Seriously uncool. It was in my bag and after I typed in my cc and hit the button to place the order, it was just yanked out of my bag. It was IN my bag. No flipping reason for it to suddenly go out of stock while I am in the middle of checking out. I didn’t stop to shop for other items, just put that one in the bag, added my info and -poof- item yanked right outta my bag. It must be a glitch.

I’m sorry you weren’t able to complete your purchase, but I don’t think it was a glitch this time. E-stores, much like brick and mortar stores, don’t reduce their inventory count until after checkout is completed. What likely happened is that other people were buying and checking out the last of the inventory at the same time you were, so you were able to add it to your bag but by the time you were ready to check out, other people had finished their purchases and they were out of stock.

An abandonment window is common on other sites, even for sale items. Whether it’s a glitch or a shoddy system, it’s unprofessional. The cart can be set up to allow enough time to enter a shipping address and payment info before the cart is considered abandoned and the items returned to inventory. The item was in my cart and I was clearly active on the site, typing my address and credit card number. I do a lot of online shopping and know of only one other site where this happens. I can’t waste my time shopping on sites that are actually set up to change my order while I’m keying in my cc number. I’m shopping, not playing roulette. I feel for the shoppers who had legit concerns about multiple cc charges due to the way the cart is set up. I’ve been there, too. Have you ever had an item pulled out of your cart on Amazon? Nope. This site’s shopping cart is the problem, not the shopper.

I just called the phone number listed and they said it is out of stock??

Not available. And I have 7 charges on my card and not a single order. Seriously unhappy :'(

I tried nearly everything from the last Bare Minerals Mystery Box and I’m super pleased with most items. I really dislike any lip plumper gloss (irritates my lips) and the two eyeliner pencils were meh- oh, and THREE of the same makeup brushes!
I hope I’m not sorry I passed on this- but so many people said that the last 2 boxes were so similar. Wish they’d offer some sneak peaks!

Apparently not fixed.. I had the item in my cart, put in all my info, and suddenly it says the item isn’t available. It was in my cart. Did they yank it out??

It doesn’t seem to be working, it says sold out.
