  1. I did it. Bought a box for myself. Most expensive box for me ever. I also went in on a box with someone else from the forums so now I will have two duplicate items but I think I can swap them out. If anyone needs the dry shampoo, coverup, perfume or the pouch be sure to check out my listings in the swap section.

  2. Thanks so much for the GETCITY20 discount code, it worked for me! I love the Illesteva sunglasses — I have two pair of Leonards already, tortoise with grey lenses and black with gold mirrored lenses, and am hoping these will be a different color. If not, I’ll sell them on Poshmark. I love the cover-up too but am guessing it won’t fit me so that’s probably another item I’ll post online. At least the water bottle is super cute!

  3. I’m looking for the dry shampoo and the perfume, if anyone wants to sell that portion of their box.

  4. I always loved the sunglasses so I pulled the trigger! The only thing I don’t care for is the coverup.

  5. I said I wouldn’t risk the CDFA BOX this year, and I didn’t. Once I the deal on Gilt City I was slightly tempted and I couldn’t get the 30% code to work for me. Then I remembered that I still had a$40 credit with Gilt City and used the 20% code and now I have my CDFA box for around $100. I love the towel and the bottle! I suspect I’ll like the box a while lot better in person! Funny though Bradshaw even after last year’s CDFA “fiasco” when the buses were marketed a second time there was no discount. I wonder if they’ve lost some of their customer base. I’ve been a subscriber for the last 2 years but after last month I’m done.

    • There’s not a towel in that box

    • Oh no…I think you might be thinking of the Popsugar Limited Edition Summer Box (with the towel, raffia bag, corksicle bottle, etc.). The CDFA box in this offer has sunglasses, a coverup, etc. – no towel or bottle. It’s a great deal at this price so I hope you love it anyway!! ?

      • Um, this actually *does* come with a bottle. (;

  6. Since I so enjoyed my mystery box, purchased bought boxes without a second thought. Now looking at the reviews in full, what was I thinking? Good thing Christmas is coming, πŸ™‚

    • oops..purchased both

  7. I was able to use the code MIDSUMMER30 for 30% off. It brought the cost of the 2 boxes down to $31.50, which is just too good a price to pass up. I don’t think I’m going to subscribe to PSMH again, because between the deals like this and the mystery boxes I end up getting the things I want anyway. I hope this trend continues.

    • Thx for sharing the code!

      • I wasn’t able to use the code b/c it didn’t come directly to my email box. I just got off of live chat with GILT and they said that you have to use the email address that the code was sent to in order to redeem it. πŸ™ How do you get them to send it to your email address? That is the question….

  8. I already have the June and July. I got the cfda, probably won’t at $165, but at $140 I cannot resists. This is my defense, $50 for the perfume (it is $95+tax at Sephora ), $30 each for the bag and the sunglasses, $20 for the bottle (I am a bottle hoarder), that comes out to $130. The dish cloth will go to my sister who takes a lot of beach vacations, and the dry shampoo will go to my stash. Sigh. Cannot wait for fall LE, and I have bought every $100 LE for the last 3 years, help me!

  9. I told myself if the CFDA box ever went on sale, I’d do it. But now the moment is here and I’m just not feeling it. If the hero item was something other than a cover-up that looked like two badly aligned dish towels, I’d probably bite. Now I’m just over it. Bring on the Fall LE box!

    • OMG! My thoughts exactly! I wasn’t clever enough to discribe them as you did, but I salute you!

      • hahaha thank you!! That’s the first thing that popped in my head when I saw it and as much as I tried to unsee that image, I just can’t!

  10. Heres to hoping the CFDA box ends up in a mystery sale like the one we just got, it was basically all items from the Gilt city deal that ended in mid July…idk why the 1st time around they seemed so unappealing to me through the Gilt city deal, but as a mystery box I loooovveed it so much more, even though it was the same items hahaha!

  11. I got am email from Gilt City with the coide MIDSUMMER30 to take 30% off your order. I bought the 2box bundle for $45 minus the 30% (-$13.50), which brought my order for 2 boxes down to $31.50 for both.

I realize they’re not great boxes, but but for $15.75 each… I like the wrap + bottle opener in the June box and I haven’t seen the swan drink holder (I need for every summer picnic I go to from now on) for less than $18 anyway… I consider this a huge win when you think you get everything esle in the box for free!

    • Nice steal! I guess you have to get an email from Gilt City in order to use the coupon b/c it didn’t work for me. LOL oh, well…

      • Hi. I didn’t get code, but I clicked on the “POPSUGAR Must Have boxes are on sale today at Gilt City”
There’s an option to buy both boxes (June and July) together for $45. At check out, I entered the code GETCITY20 and got an additional discount and got the price of $36 for both boxes. Good luck.

    • Bummer, that code has a max discount of $25 πŸ™ …was hoping to use it on the big box πŸ™

      • I used it on the big box – it’s still a total of $85 saved even if you “only” get an additional $25 discount with the code.

  12. Thanks Liz. This could not have come at a better time. I wanted to subscribe to PopSugar but was on the fence. Then I got a gift card to Gilt. Guess what I just got? Two boxes for less than $10. Beyond thrilled!

  13. I wish it were the May box. I already got 2, but could use a 3rd. πŸ™‚ But no way on June and July. πŸ˜›

  14. Am I annoyed that the CFDA box went on sale AFTER I have purchased two boxes at $260 a pop with tax, sure. But that’s the luck of the draw ensuring I had them in case they ran out of stock. I literally could have bought three with this sale and made out better. πŸ™
Oh Well, I DO LOVE it.

    • Genuinely curious – where do you live that you got charged 15.5% sales tax? I thought ours was high at 10.25% (which would bring the $225 box to $248), but even then I think I’ve only been charged our lower state tax on PSMH orders, not the lovely city/county tax on top of it, lol.

      • Yeah, that’s totally not right. $35 in taxes per box?

  15. Oh man I signed up for the subscription with the mini-box deal just to get the July box :/ Should have held out!

  16. I’d bite if they had the April box on, I still have box envy.

    • I have the entire April box up for swap if you’re interested!

      • I’m not on any of the swap sites, still new to sub boxes.

  17. I swapped for the game and the hat attack sarong. Like them both. If I hadn’t swapped, I would buy that box. If I had a pool, or was needing a gift for someone with a pool, I would buy the second box. I would be so sad if PopSugar Must Have went belly up! I don’t subscribe anymore, but I might again in the future if they have a good sale at Thanksgiving.

  18. totally having a bad day…just ordered the CFDA box. moment of weakness. I will now go hide my head in shame for the rest of the day.

    • I rationalized it with the Phillip Lim bag and Swell bottle – $140 is a good deal although that sounds super indulgent now. I’ll go join you in the corner.

    • Same here… I justified it with the ‘bad day’ excuse! SIGH. I really need to stop checking MSA on my bad days, lol!

  19. Bonus – I didn’t get charged for tax! In CA that’s normally a pretty penny on some of the nicer boxes. Another reason not to order from Popsugar at the start.

  20. The July box is worth it for me just for another Sachajuan. That stuff is awesome so it’s like buying that product on sale and everything else in the box is just a bonus! YAY!

Although I feel bad for the people who paid full price for the CDFA box. It seems awfully soon to be offering that box at an $85 discount and this strategy will probably make me pause before paying full price for that box next year.

    Thanks for the heads up!

  21. Kind of a slap in the face to people who just received and paid full price for those boxes. Thankfully they are making these an easy pass. Wish I had gotten in on those mystery boxes.

  22. I really love the sarong (scarf) from the June box and I am always on the lookout for small card type games to keep with our camping supplies so for $20, why not?

Thanks for sharing the info Liz!

  23. I’m going to pass in the hopes that they do more mystery boxes. : )

  24. are they going out of business?

    • Don’t think so but probably way too much stock. I know people have been burned with some of these boxes and not ordering them. After last year I stayed away from CFDA but order it for $140.

    • I wonder if their tax year is ending in September. If they are paying a 3rd for storage space by the square foot because they don’t own the warehouses & are nearing the end of their fiscal year, accounting may be telling them to dump stock to reduce operating expenses (warehouse) & take a loss on the inventory.

      • They also had the Gilt deal on past boxes a few months ago… That’s how I got my January box (with the Pehr bin) and why I was surprised to see so many January items in the mystery box! I’m guessing they just do quarterly reporting and need to drop inventory…

  25. I want the Neiman Marcus box!

    • Those ALWAYS sell out.

  26. Not even tempted–easy pass for me. All awful.

  27. Is this normal for PS to do? Put past boxes on sale?

    • It’s not uncommon but not guaranteed to happen

    • It happens occasionally with boxes that people aren’t super enthusiastic about. These summer ones seem to fit that bill.
