That oribe texturizing spray made my hair look like I dropped candle wax on it. I have received it Three times as a BB sample. Hard pass on this set.

After the Sephora Soko to Tokyo customized set, I’m super spoiled and can’t get excited about this.

Nikita

Dude! Thank you SO MUCH for leaving a comment here, I had no idea about that customized set and now I’m totally going to get one.

Next time, get there fast because they ran out of some of the most coveted items but the ones left are still really good. On one of the other posts, someone did a breakdown of how much each choice is worth, it was really helpful in narrowing down the choices.
You MUST check MSA every day!! 🙂

Christy

Are any of these ok for color treated hair? Honestly, all I really want is the free gift trio.

Luna

The Davines products say they are for color-treated hair. 🙂

I got the R+CO Dallas shampoo and conditioner & Serge Hairspray! I’ve tried the Dry Shampoo in R+CO before & I love it! I also added the Sample Pack & Used 200 points I built up. So my total Cost 15.00 I think it’s pretty good as I’ve been wanting to try the Wet Shampoo & Conditioner for so long!!!

I’m not sure how they can possibly justify the $35 cost when the lowest possible value of this is $22.50.

At first I thought $35 was crazy high too. But if you were to pick the most expensive choices in each category the total would come to $39 (a $12 shampoo, a $12 conditioner, and a $15 styling product). Plus you get the 3-piece Oribe gift set as a bonus, a supposed $35 value in and of itself, for a total highest possible value of $74. Even if you picked the cheapest choices in each category, once you include the gift set, the total lowest possible value is $57.
My full size shampoos and conditioners are usually less than $10 each anyway, so personally, I just don’t think travel sizes are worth such high RVs. Oh well.

Thanks for breaking it’s retail value to cost down. I feel a little better about impulsively buying this.

Although, I have to admit this is one of those very rare instances where I’m having buyers remorse (I usually have ‘I didn’t buy it’ remorse!). While the retail value is higher than the cost, the personal value is a lot lower to me.

But, I’m such a huge sucker for kits, I can’t help it (I think I own virtually all kits sold by Sephora, Birchbox, & Ulta)!!! Oh well…. I’ll still enjoy the products, nevertheless. 🙂 Oh! I just thought…. I’ll just consider the loss in personal value as a slight offset to the huge gains in personal/retail value to cost with all of the awesome July 4th deals I took advantage of. Whew! Now I feel better! Thanks, me! 😀

I already had that comb in my cart at Birchbox. Good thing I waited. Used points and got the mystery gift and and facecloth gwp. Will come in handy when I go on vacation in September. Anyone know is the Davines conditioner is a bottle or foil size?

Sailor

Davines Travel Sized Conditioner comes in a mini-container like the one shown in the picture.

Reply ButtonReply

Maria

Just checked. It’s 2.5 oz. so probably not a foil.

If my previous post was deleted, does that mean something wasn’t allowed?

Meant to reply to this, please disregard or delete, I figured it out. ? Sorry for the incorrect posts, I’m on my phone. ?

I don’t think I can resist this. I’ve really been wanting to try the Living Proof stuff before committing to getting the full size products.

I think you’ll be really happy with Living Proof – I absolutely love the brand! Their formulas are great and the scents are fab, too! 🙂

Rochelle

Nvmd. My bad ?

I would have been interested in the Beauty Protector products, but you can get the Jet Set that includes shampoo, conditioner, detangler, body cleanser and lotion – and a pouch – for only $24 from Birchbox. I’d check the site for other brands’ travel sets before paying for this one.

Hmmm…. selling samples must not be so boring after all.

Reply ButtonReply

stfne

But it’s so much more exciting because they’re *travel-sized* 😉

Soccermom

Can anyone tell what the sizes are on the free oribe trio you get with this? I’m on my phone and can’t see very well but it says the free trio is worth $35?

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

The details say that the creme is 0.5 oz. and the texturizing spray is 1 oz.

Kelly

I went with R+CO Dallas shampoo and conditioner and the Serge hairspray. Added a makeup towel mini and a mystery sample pack. This is exactly the kind of deal I’ve been waiting for.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristin

Me too! I got the exact same thing. I’ve tried their Dry Shampoo before & love it so I’m excited to try these wet ones! ?

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

That’s what I got (R+CO and Serge) too!
I almost got the Living Proof, but I know I already have a couple samples of that and its something that I can see myself buying full size, but I’m not sure if I’d buy R+CO on my own so thought I’d give it a try 🙂

Jennifer

That makeup eraser mini towel looks interesting! I spent my points on things I needed, but this is tempting.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I purchased a Makeup Eraser from one of their consultants for my vacation to St Thomas earlier this year. It’s not something I use everyday but I love it for traveling.

Carolann

Last week I snagged a really awesome set from Sephora (Summer Hair Saviors for $36). I’ll admit I was most excited about the coral/gold shimmer bag it came with but I am enjoying trying out all the products too. I’ll definitely pass on this one from Birchbox. It seems a little pricey in comparison to what you could get elsewhere.

Reply ButtonReply

Kaara

Last week you got the set from Sephora? I didn’t see it online 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Carolann

Yeah, I lucked out. I actually added it to my cart on 6/27, browsed for a few minutes, then went to checkout and saw it was unavailable. I kept checking back/browsing throughout the day and onto 6/28 and it eventually showed as back in stock in my cart.

Randi

the bonus Oribe items are what definitely caught my eye!

Liz Cadman

Yes! Oribe is the best! 🙂
