Birchbox June 2016 Box Reveals Are Up!

In looking forward to all of my samples in my birchbox this month, but I really wish they’d do what Sephora Play does with fragrance samples, and toss them in as a bonus (unless it’s a bigger size.) I made a $4 purchase from Sephora online recently, and got a small sample of perfume with my order. I’m not so crazy about getting these teeny vials as one of my five samples in a $10 box. Don’t get me wrong; I love birchbox and I like trying new perfume. I just wish they’d throw them in as a bonus 6th item- I wouldn’t even mind not being able to earn review points for it if it were a bonus.

I got my box today is. This is the quickest I’ve ever received it! Normally not till at least after the 11th. Really liking the gimme brow gel!

Ok so… I am new to Birchbox, this will be my second box. I have this and Ipsy. Can someone get me up to date on the lingo? What is the difference between a curated box and any other box? Also, what does ‘subbing’ mean?

I am feeling pretty good about my Birchbox, this month. I am getting:

-Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask (I am dying to find one that works for me, so I am pretty hopeful for this one)

Overall, I am pretty please with this box!

How is birchbox’s shipping for you guys? Is it normal for east coast people to have to wait 16 days to receive a box?! I mean the box shipped May 26th and it is showing a delivery date of June 11th! I’ve purchased items from China and gotten them faster. It shipped from TN and I’m in NC, that’s about 10 hours away. I just don’t understand how this is even possible. That an item one state away is still not in my hand after 11 days! OMGosh I will be cancelling for sure if June’s box takes as long as May’s to arrive.

So I’m getting a box basically of skincare items (lavanila sunscreen, dr Brandt, avene thermal spring water spray, and ipkn BB cream) and my gimme brow sample choice. I emailed BB and first they told me that BB is meant to be a discovery service and that my points are for me to use to get stuff I actually want. Then I was told the current box pages aren’t really our boxes until it actually ships.

I loved both my box reveals so much, and wanted the free lip gloss, so I subbed for a 3rd box to my mom’s since the reveals are SO good this month! I did the link to this new subscription, and it says I’m getting the curated box. Anyone else able to pull up their “new” accounts who just signed up or is this a fluke? I wouldn’t mind another curated, but this will make NUMBER #3 of the PB&J stick. I’m getting it in all my boxes. Which is ok, because it looks useful, but eek!

Not thrilled about my June box. Maybe that’ll change when I receive it. Shampoo/conditioner, but it’s a leave in conditioner which I do really like using. Another sunblock! I got 2 from bb last month. That water spritzer, it has bad reviews. anyone use it and like it?

I almost cancelled my subscription this past month. I understand the whole concept of “sample sizes” but sometimes a few of the samples are beyond pathetic. Example being… I received a Primer sample that was sealed but yet had nothing inside the sample. I contacted Birchbox and they sent me out a duplicate sample of the primer in which did not include enough for even a pea sized amount to try. It wasn’t enough to spread on your face even once. I just don’t understand how they can send samples like that. Also I LOVE to get perfumes in my boxes but REALLY… do they have to give us the free samples that we can all get free at any make up counter? At least when Ipsy gives us a perfume its a rollerball or spray that we can wear thru the month. Just my thoughts… <3

I still don’t completely understand how BirchBox “works”. I realize there’s a curated box, but you can opt out and pick a “mystery box” where one of the items you are allowed to choose in advance? I currently have 4 other subscriptions but was thinking about adding BB or GlossyBox. The Smith & Cult gloss is thisclose to pushing me over the edge. Do you only get it if you subscribe and choose the curated box? Any answers are greatly appreciated it!

I’m happy with my box. I’ve had a couple of PARLOR samples and think their products are so-so so I’m not excited about the shampoo but I figure we can use extras of shampoo to carry to the beach and pool this summer. I chose the Dark brow gel so I think I’ll like it. The Illuminator is not something I wear but I hear so many good things I may give it a try and the way everyone raves about the Oribe I’m pretty sure I’ll be ok with that one too LOL. I haven’t had anything from Evologie so I’m excited to try the serum, especially since I break out a lot in the summer. Sample choice + 3 brands I’ve never tried = pretty awesome June!

Ugh, I didn’t want the brow gel but of course they are sending me one anyways (my hair is strawberry blonde and I have red hair marked in my profile – if a brow product doesn’t have any red it looks terrible). I wish there was a way to say NO to the sample selection item. Should have went with the curated box as I’m getting the PBJ smootie stick anyways plus a serum, a sunscreen and a can of spring water???

Pretty pleased overall, nice mix of items and Kiehl’s is high end and I hear the PBJ is ful sized, the rum raisin color looks nice.

I went for “no sample choice this month” which should give me a box curated especially to my profile. I’m getting the gimme brow in “light.” First off, I imagine they had a lot of those left over from sample choice. Second, had I chose that as my sample it would have been med. or dark as I have drk brown hair. Were these samples actually geared towards my profile there is no way I would be getting a light brow enhancer. SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Picked the curated box this month, now seeing all these boxes with the same PB & J Smoothie stick and Oribe products. Can’t win, but then again, I probably wouldn’t have ended up with them anyway. (Throwing myself a pity party…lol)

I opted for the curated box this month, and actually like the items I’m getting. Haven’t been a big fan of BB since I first signed up, so I keep going between cancelling and resubbing. I didn’t want the brow gel, because 1) my brows are naturally pretty nice, so I don’t use it unless I’m going to an event and 2) I received one in boxycharm last month. I liked the June box design, and am feeling so-so about the curated box design, but oh well. Rather have products I enjoy than a box, lol. Plus, I signed up with the coupon code and will be getting the lipgloss, too!
