I tried every single promo code and not one worked. Can you please test these out before posting them? It’s very misleading to subscribers thinking we’ll be able to actually use them. Thanks.

I’ve tried every code possible as well, and none work for me. I have never used a code, nor have I ever bought anything from the shop. So perhaps they are just expired codes…

Hi Danielle,

Sorry some of these wouldn’t work for me because I had already used them on my account, but I was able to get the WELCOMEOFFER code to work on one of my accounts so I assumed these are still working for some accounts.

Cute box that should be at least $8 less, but I am trying to go cruelty free and I believe all the makeup/skincare products here are, so I’ll happily use points and a birthday code. And to everyone on sea salt spray overload, I tried it in the winter out of desperation to control static (a very light mist on dry hair) and it worked and was also a nice little reminder of warm, sunny days.

Today is my bday! and I will pass! I’ll be fine with the gifts I receive this month. Waiting on my May BB……so that will be enough for me. I will keep saving my points for something better!

I’m really excited, im even considering two boxes. Turkish towels are amazing for wrapping your hair right out of the shower. They speed up my drying time, and they don’t ruffle the cuticle of your hair. I keep a basket of them under the bathroom sink, and these look like the cheap one from the regular popsugar box a couple of years back. That’s my favorite one for drying my hair quickly. 🙂

I like half the things in the box…and the box is cute ( admittedly, sometimes this is the deciding factor ..lol)

People who are new may find this box great.
No doubt we become a little jaded when we subscribe to a lot of boxes.

Everything looks sample size, where’s the value? And as a prescription glasses wearer I’m so disappointed every time I see sunglasses in a box. We may be a minority, but we exist.

The only thing I want from this box is the Turkish T towel. I want to experience what the craze is about over them. I am not spending $58 on a towel even though I have enough points to splurge.

Danielle

None of this appeals to me. Easy pass for me!

I’ve been waiting for this box to come Out since I loved last years so much. It doesn’t wow me but I like it better than the other two they released. I liked the sunglasses last year so I’m glad to have another pair and the cargo palette looks cute. Plus I’m always happy to have more sunscreen and towels.

so yeah I went for it

I am new to Birchbox but the site will not validate any of the discount codes above for me to try out their service with just this box for now (I wasn’t interested in the GWP codes). I even installed the app on my phone and tried to place the order from there but – nope. So Birchbox will not be coming to my mailbox. At the stated price point of $58 for this limited edition box I can go and put together my own little gift to myself and know that I will love every item! I am starting to think that the craze for subscription boxes is inevitably going to fall off. The value-to-price point is just not good enough 95% of the time, whether you are surprised by the contents or are looking at full spoilers. Which makes me sad, because who doesn’t like a good buy/a treat/a surprise?

Jackie

I agree 100%. It’s a trend that will disappear eventually. $58 is a lot of money, and like you said you can make your own summer box and love each item you choose.

Reply ButtonReply

Beckie

Oh, and in case Birchbox is reading this – I uninstalled the app immediately after trying this. Shopping for a Turkish towel on that “A to Z” famous website right now and a pair of sunnies – which were all that really interested me.

Reply ButtonReply

Jodie Smith

What website was that? I want to see too! Lol

Beckie

DONE. $33.94 total for both, delivered in 2 days. (Can you tell I took it personally that Birchbox did not appear to want me as a new customer? Lol!)

Kaleigh

Last summer’s Under the Sun Limited Edition box was sooo much better. They even repeated the sunscreen and Knockaround sunglasses this time. That makes it a pass for me. https://www.birchbox.com/shop/limited-edition-under-the-sun

Ragan

Easy for me to pass on. My checking account is thanking me.

Those sunglasses were in last year’s summer box. Can’t believe they’ve gone from repeating monthly box samples to now repeating limited edition stuff. I used to be birchbox obsessed, now they keep disappointing.

Reply ButtonReply

K

I guess the design was slightly different but same brand, same colors, etc.

Reply ButtonReply

Maria

Last year they were gray with pinkish lenses. Same brand and style but different colors

Krista

Would love to try the coconut body glow, but I already have this almost exact towel from PS (as someone mentioned) and most of the other things I just wouldn’t use. Nice box though.

I love sea salt spray, give me more! What I’m tired of is dry shampoo. Enough already.

What are the chances this box will go on sale (something like how we just saw the Mother’s Day box get discounted)?

Reply ButtonReply

Kara

Oh it was the Glossy Box Mothers Day LE that just went on sale. Does BB ever discount their special boxes?

Reply ButtonReply

Samantha

Actually, Birchbox did have a Mother’s Day box last year that did go on sale in late fall. It was the Lovely Day LE box.

Jackie

Yes they have in the past. Don’t remember which one.

Julie

Does anyone have a valid promo code they can share? Thanks. Julie

Can’t get any of the discount coupons to work. I have an account because I purchased a 3 month subscription for my husband back in November. Maybe that’s why they won’t work? Anyhow, I’m taking that as a sign that I don’t need this box. :o)

Reply ButtonReply

MyMilkShake

none work for me either. the box is too expensive (for me) when priced without a code. I’m taking the sign too.

The Turkish-T Towel in the picture looks a lot like the ones that PopSugar sent out last year…

Reply ButtonReply

EC

I got the exact same sunglasses in last year’s summer LE box and they’re super cheap quality. They scratched the first time I wore them, in my own backyard pool so they were hardly put to hard use. The second time I wore them the ear piece snapped in two. I’m a sucker for a good LE box but I think I’ll pass on this one since I’m drowning in sunscreen and salt spray (and Turkish towels; seriously, did someone put out a memo saying everyone wants Turkish towels). It just doesn’t seem like as good of a deal as past summer LE boxes, even at the same price point. It feels like it’s missing a few items.

That palette is super cute. As for the sea salt spray, at least that’s a great one and smells yummy! If I had more points saved up, I might get this….

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

As soon as I read “sea salt spray” I was out.

Reply ButtonReply

Mandy

Same here, words like sea salt spray, dry shampoo and texturizing spray are almost always automatic deal breakers for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Ragan

The same on all three from me, too. (Also “natural deodorant,” “bronzer,” and “self tanner.”) My Birchbox this month is going to have a texture spray and about 30 seconds after I open it, my TRASH CAN is going to have a texture spray.

Siobhan

Oy with the sea salt spray. Enough already!

Reply ButtonReply

Maribel:)

Hmmm…only like the box and the towel 😛 I guess I will continue to hoard my points 😀

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

Well I could wait for Liz’s review and decide I have to have it… or I could learn from the past and realize that no matter how bad I try to not buy it, her review will always push me over the edge.

Plus I’m a sucker for Turkish towels and sunglasses. And how cute it that box!?!

Reply ButtonReply

Ally

I’ve never tried Turkish towels, what makes them better than normal ones?

Reply ButtonReply

joy

They tend to be large, like a beach towel, but are really light weight, kind of like a kitchen towel. They are very absorbant but also dry quickly. They start out kind of stiff like linen but gradually get very soft. i find that I like them way better than regular towels, especially in the summertime.

Julie Eads

That towel is super cute! Hope it’s in the shop to buy alone.
