This is the information card that was included, detailing the package's contents. In honor of the passing of actor Alan Rickman, this month's theme is Professor Severus Snape from the Harry Potter franchise.

I would be remiss in failing to mention that this is the February package, but I just received it this week. The Fan Empire usually sends their packages at the end of the month, but this month they did not send the package until well into March. They did not notify me via email. I did email them (twice) to ask what was happening, and they responded promptly (twice) to let me know that they were still waiting on an item. Both times they suggested I follow them on instagram to get shipping updates. If they expect subscribers to follow them on instagram to get updates, they should probably let the subscribers know so they can make that decision. If you are thinking of subscribing to this package, these are things that you should know beforehand.

Severus Snape Magnet - Value $3?

Charm Keychain - Value $5?

Most of the items in The Fan Empire are either custom made for subscribers, or are impossible to find for sale elsewhere online! The retail values I have listed are just guesses on my part. I like that the magnet has a rare picture of Professor Snape smiling! My son really likes this keychain and has it on his backpack. My kids are fans of Harry Potter, but I'm not such a huge fan, so I like these more gender-neutral items.

Always Print - Value $8?

This is a beautiful print commemorating the passing of Alan Rickman. My son and I were both touched by it.

fan-empire-feb-bracelet

Leather Bracelet - Value $15?

This is a really pretty bracelet! I like it! It has the Deathly Hallows symbol, the book that made Professor Snape into a hero.

fan-empire-feb-necklace

Memory Necklace - Value $17?

This necklace is really pretty, too. I wasn't 100% sure what the little bottle of silver beads was all about, but they are Professor Snape's memory tears.

fan-empire-feb-bag

Drawstring Bag - Value $12?

This custom-made drawstring bag has some of Professor Snape's most famous quotes on it. This month's items are all really lovely and touching, but they're making me so sad!

Verdict: I am a little disappointed by The Fan Empire's shipping delay on my first package, but overall I would have to say that the package itself is outstanding. I am completely guessing on most of these values, but I still know the values MUST far outweigh the $18.45 subscription cost. Mainly, though, I think the Fan Empire's handling of this particular theme is just so lovely and poignant. I am particularly impressed with the print and the bracelet. I'm not the world's biggest Harry Potter Fan, but this was very well curated. I'm excited to see what next month's theme will be!

Oh my goodness I can’t get past the “vile bottle” on the card. Please proofread subbox people!

Wow, good catch! LOL

This may be a case of the person who wrote the card not knowing the difference. (Spell checker wouldn’t have caught it.) Or perhaps the bottle really is extremely unpleasant! =)

You can literally get those bracelets on Amazon from Chinese third party sellers for like $2 shipped. I know cause I bought one. 😉

Cute theme though.
