Man, I wish I’d ordered more than one of this box! Just got it today and I love everything in it. Everything is a decent size and only one foil packet (shampoo and conditioner). I got poisonberry for the nail polish (a fuschia color), and the deep cleansing nugg mask. Can’t wait to try everything! This is probably one of the best under $10 beauty boxes I’ve gotten recently. Hope you all enjoy!

I was so “meh” about it because there were no full-size products in if (but not “meh” enough not to get it because I knew I’d regret it), but mine arrived today, and the samples are very generously sized! The shampoo and conditioner are what I was least excited about, so I’m not really sad that they are foil packets. I’m a little sorry that I didn’t buy two, but when I see how many people missed out, I feel better about it. It doesn’t bug me that much to “only” get one if it means more people can get one, too. I wish Target could put together more of these so there’s not such a rush every time. I also wish they’d do another men’s box!

I got mine today! I think it’s a nice box for $5. My nail polish shade is “hush money” a bronze-pink shade, which I will use. I got the anti-aging Nugg mask.

Reply ButtonReply

Patricia

That’s awesome. Hush money is a new color. It came out this year.

ugh, says that my box shipped, but when I click on tracking it says package not found or w/e. I tried to order last months, I ordered in the first 5 minutes it was available, said it shipped, but I got that same thing when I tried to track it and it never showed. even phoned them and everything, so worried the same thing is happening this time around. does anyone else get a failed tracking package but has received their box?

Reply ButtonReply

My tracking has always been weird with the Target boxes. In Jan. when they had two different ones, I got the same tracking number for both boxes even though they were shipped separately. I have never had an issue with the box arriving though.

I would give it one full business day. Mine always do that too. It did it this time too but within 24 hours it started tracking. Just give it a day to start moving through the system.

Is there a separate newsletter for this target beauty box? I subscribe to your daily newsletter which is always delivered to my mailbox late afternoon and after the beauty box has already sold out. I miss it every month lol!

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

I sent the Target Email to all daily newsletter subscribers today right before 5 AM ET. So if you subscribe to the daily newsletter, you should have received two emails today. The Target email at 5 AM ET. And the standard email at 11 AM ET.

The Target email has the subject line: Target Beauty Box Time! Happy Leap Day!!

Hope that helps.

I get all the alerts and still this box was sold out when I got the alerts 🙁 I’m thinking that those of us in Pacific Time don’t get the alerts in sufficient time to order. Is there a way to set it up so everyone gets the alert at 5:00 am across the country?

ann

bummed, subscribed to the alert for this and didnt get any for this box.

Hi Ann,

Can you send me an email with the email address you signed up with for alerts? ([email protected]). I’ll look into it.

For $5…I grabbed 2. I skipped the last box but I love the Laneige so I couldn’t pass on that. I can always use sunscreen and the rest well…meh.

Liz

I love these boxes. I got two: one for me and one for my sister in law. 🙂

I think it’s ridiculous how fast these target boxes sell out when compared to the Wal-mart beauty box, you get more in the Wal-mart box. Actual full size products and really good coupons too. I don’t even try to order the target box anymore cause its always sold out and they’ve done nothing to improve that, so I’ll take my five bucks and use it on the Wal-mart box which includes shipping too.

I agree with ME; I received a bunch of garbage, barely worth $5 in my Walmart box. If you read the Walmart box reviews here (and comments), you’ll find a similar story. This current Target box is a one-off at smaller sizes for $5, but they are usually $7 and have at least one full-size item.
Also, the Target boxes include shipping, so that isn’t any different from the Walmart box, so… yeah.

Reply ButtonReply

ME

All I ever received with Walmart were foil packets and coupons – utter garbage. I finally cancelled because it wasn’t even worth $5.00.

I find that the Target boxes are better quality items, bigger sizes (sometimes full) and a nice assortment. I love these boxes and like others wish that it would be a subscription.

Debbie

I agree! Target’s Beauty Boxes are much better than Walmart, IMO. Walmart is kind of hit-or-miss, and several times I only got foil packets and random coupons for things I would never buy. I received my Target box today, and I’m very pleased. I won’t use everything, but it’s worth far more than the $5 I paid for the things I will use. I love masks, and receiving two to try was really nice. I’m happy with the nail polish color too. Target never disappoints!

Mia

This box was a great value, however it all seemed to be sample sizes. The products this month aren’t my favorite but I do love the sea salt hair spray.

I live in Cali and stayed late last night and saw the box available at about 1 am-ish. I immediately bought it and by the time I woke up today morning they were all sold out. wow! they’re getting more and more popular.

Reply ButtonReply

Daisy

I’m from Cali too just happen to be in the east coast and was up early and was able to buy yay..

Reply ButtonReply

Elena

Yay! I have no idea how to buy them in the future, I don’t normally wake up earlier than 10 am:(

Rhonda

There was enough items that I don’t use or need that I passed on it. Between these, ipsy and Boxycharm, I need to use up some things first.

I missed this one as well, but I’m glad, since I need to take a slight break from these. I bought the holiday box (my 1st Target box), plus the two January boxes, then the February box (that I swore I didn’t want). So I really need to enjoy/use up the items from those boxes before I get new ones, lol.

I’m excited for next month’s box, though! I thought these were only seasonal, but they seem to be monthly for now. I can see why Target doesn’t do subscriptions: they don’t do variations, and likely only receive X number of items/samples from the suppliers. So once they run out of the boxes, it’s because they are out of the samples…

A subscription would cause the same problems we see with other boxes (I’m looking at you, Glossybox), where there are disappointments due to variations, because of the unknown/variable quantity of subscribers each month.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

That makes a lot of sense; I knew it wasn’t a good idea for them to do actual subscriptions but couldn’t put my finger why.

Reply ButtonReply

Debbie

It’s probably easier for them overall to just process orders as they come in. And an advantage to us is that we can see what we’re getting before we buy. I wish it was a subscription too, but there are good reasons why they do it the way they do. I’m sure they love not having to deal with all the complaints from unhappy subscribers!

Sara

Never manage to catch this before it sells out. Boooo….

Reply ButtonReply

JacLyn

Aw. I tried to get stuff done around the house today and when I thought to check, it was sold out. Boo. 🙁 You’d think they’d make more available, if they kept selling out like this.

Reply ButtonReply

Lauren

I grabbed 2. The only thing I really am excited about is the ňugg mask and the Laniege sleep mask. I’m glad someone mentioned donating the foils and body wash because I never ever use them so I will make up a bag to donate.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

I’m too lazy to swap and too cheap to throw out stuff, so I donate what I don’t need or like to my local battered women’s shelter. They make little welcome gifts bags and they love getting beauty and toiletries samples to include in the bags.

Reply ButtonReply

Lindsey

I was actually thinking about doing that. Unfortunately I’ve had to hide out in a battered women’s shelter and I remember a woman bringing in bags full of beauty supplies and I cried because it was so thoughtful and in my rush to leave home, I had forgotten all my makeup. So as someone whose received a beauty bag, thank you for donating because you have no idea how much its appreciated. Now that I’m away from my abuser and back on my feet, I can now donate.

Ann

Wow, this one went quicker than the last one! Oh well, maybe next time 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Patty

Wow! this one went fast, guessing with the price point people got a couple, I got one for me and one for my mom.First time I’ve decided to get a second box.

Already gone!

Rebecca

I only bought one. The real reason I got it is for the nugg and Laneige masks. The Laneige Water Bank moisturizing cream that came in either last month’s box or the month before is just awesome. (I now know what I’m going to use my $3 off coupon on in-store.) I used the Caress body wash when it came in the last box, and it was OK, so I’ll use it. The rest is “meh” based on size, really, except for the Sinful polish, which I personally don’t like. I would’ve bought more than one box if there were more full-size products, but I can’t complain. I figure one box is enough for me, and that means more for others, since this one sold out about as quickly as past boxes.

Looks like it’s sold out!

Vanessa

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed all of my past Beauty Boxes that I have been able to buy. But I’m done with it. I can’t believe how worked up I get over a box of samples that I have to pay for! I wish Target would set it up as a true subscription box, maybe give us a heads up of when they plan to release it or something!
My main beef today is that the March box was released on the last day of February, not the first day of March. hahahahaha…. how clever…… what a great way to keep us on our toes. The last few “month” boxes have been released on the first day of the month, but not March’s box.
Yes, I do have a bad case of soured grapes. The way this box is handled may be marketing genius, but I think it makes Target look bad. The illusion of caring for the customer has been shattered. I know, Target doesn’t truly care for us, it’s all about the marketing, but at least keep up with that illusion!
Bah-Humbug…..

Reply ButtonReply

Patricia

Target didn’t call it a March box and based on the description they gave on the box’s page, a better name for it would be the spring box or spring break box. And starting with the box that was sold in April 2015 there have only been 2 times where the box was released on the first, June 1st and February 1st. They’ve released boxes in the first week, the middle of the month and in November there was a box on either the Sunday the 29th. Monday was the most common day for boxes. November and September are the only times where the box wasn’t released on a Monday. October had boxes that were released on two different days, the 5th and 19th, both were Monday’s. So it’s not a complete surprise that they would release two boxes in the same month.

They’ve also skipped months. May and December. I think the April box was a spring box and then the November boxes were the holiday boxes. So it is possible that March won’t even have a box.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristina Snowden

I was pretty sure the last two boxes I got were released on the Monday (one was also the first of the month) after the spoilers went up so I figured it would be this morning.

Reply ButtonReply

nana

I don’t think that Target has called this box the “March” box. I think Liz is calling it that because it seems that Target has now settled in issuing a beauty box every month, but AFAIK they haven’t made any announcements that they are putting out monthly boxes.

Amalia

Ooh, looks sold out already (shipping not available). That was fast! :0

Aw, they were sold out before 9am in California so missed out this time.
