A Thirty One Bits $25 Gift Card! More about Thirty One Bits:

Our model is to empower people through the fashion industry. We work with our beneficiaries in Uganda to create fashionable, quality products. They earn an income enabling them to provide for their families. We care for them holistically through counseling, health education, finance training, and business mentorships. After five years in our program, our beneficiaries are ready to graduate. A graduated beneficiary has her own business and is educated, healthy, and confident. She is empowered.

And guess what? Everything we do is funded through product sales. That means every time you make a 31 bits purchase, you have a direct impact on women’s lives in Uganda.

And here is a look at some of their jewelry:

*newb question by the welcome box was my first box* I filled out my profile survey and put I was fair. So I should be covered? The spring box in the “shop” is just for the extra boxes right?

I saw Bristol Palin on the website too, but FFF is so awesome, I didn’t hold it against them ?

Anna

Yeah, FFF is awesome. My comment was a knee-jerk reaction and I’m not proud of myself at the moment. Childish and impulsive is not becoming 🙁

I didn’t think it was a childish response – standing up for your values is important. I, for one, stop purchasing products or visiting companies if they pay people I think have different values than me. Frankly if she is endorsing their products/company, I will have to rethink whether it’s a company I want to do business with.

Good girl! 🙂 I like your post, we do tend to react too quickly sometimes. I don’t even know what your original post was but I love the fact you are taking ownership and stepping back. We should all do this more. Love it.

Emily

I think that is really useful information for subscribers and that you have nothing to apologize for!

Maribel:)

It’s ok, I had a similar thought lol ? but then decided “whatever, it’s not stopping me” ?

Anna

Liz, I completely understand if you don’t publish this, but Bristol Palin advertising for them on instagram has completely turned me off to this box. I just cancelled.

They have a lot of D-list celebrities adverstise the box, the CMT reality show people have all posted pics stating how much they loved the FFF boxes in the past, even the dudes… They had special promo codes so FFF can see which D-lister is the best source of cheap advertisement.

On the web site they are asking people who buy the spring box to pick a skin tone, so I guess something like foundation will be included in this box.
