Does anyone know when do they charge for this month? Im not happy the curated box is sold out. Not happy with their surprise boxes always small samples or foils. I want to cancel before they charge me

I chose the curated box because most of the sample choices I’ve had. Haven’t tried the blowout spray tho. I’m content with not getting another perfume sample next month. I hope they do a better job at sample choices (for April box).

Ready for Anything Featured Box shows for sale in their store – not sold out.

Boooooo!! Curated box sold out!!! The sample choices are a stinker! ??

Agree completely!

Ugh! I wanted the curated, but it was already out! I was not thrilled about the sample choices..I’m not looking forward to what I might get :/

I’m so frustrated that the curated box was sold out before non-ACE members had access to it. Don’t send us an email telling us we can select it while knowing that there is nothing to select! This is my first time being disappointed by BB 🙁

I’ve literally gotten three Mystery Sample Packs in a row with Davines MOMO shampoo (including one order that had a bonus MSP – both MSPs had the shampoo – I wonder if a human being was involved with that at all), so I have more than enough mini shampoos. If the conditioners were the same size as the shampoo, I might’ve gone for one of those, but not for a “packette.” I am not a dry shampoo person (I this exact dry shampoo at the moment that I’m giving to a friend), so that’s out, too.

I feel like having two of the sample choices be a shampoo sample and conditioner packette is not really much of a choice.

I didn’t feel like being stuck with those samples in two boxes this month, so I already picked the curated box for my Ace sub yesterday. The curated box doesn’t thrill me, but I don’t expect to be wowed every month. To me, it’s just OK. For my other sub, I’m choosing not to choose and am hoping they’ll give me something other than one of these three samples.

I got 6 of the same box!! 6!!!!! Not such a mystery, more like “we have tons of leftover November boxes, so let’s get rid of them…”

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

How did you get six boxes? Or do you mean you’ve gotten six boxes with the exact same items? Maybe their computer got stuck ?

Rebecca

I have* this exact dry shampoo

Can’t type today.

Also, the MOMO shampoo is great and generously sized, but it is really weird to me, getting the same item in 3 MSPs in a row, including 2 that were shipped together. At least the other item in each varied.

If I do NOT pick a sample choice, is it possible that I won’t receive one of the sample choices at all? I don’t want any of those! 🙂 Thanks for your help! I love this site!

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Actually, that’s a good thought – if you don’t want any of the sample choice or the curated box, you can decline any and just get a box that is a total surprise rather than a surprise choice from the sample choice options.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

I wish I knew because that’s what I’m hoping for, too!

Sarah

Curated box is out of stock 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

I’m sorry. They’ll probably offer it for sale and/or for new subscribers in early/mid-March, despite the fact that they’re saying they’re out of stock.

I’m not personally bitter about that because I’ve never wanted a curated box before becoming an Ace (at which point I got early access and always got one when I wanted one), but I do think that’s a little crappy to do to current subscribers. If they go out of stock, it should be out of stock, period, not just unless you’re new or want to pay extra for it.

Amanda

So, does anyone know, if we pick one of the shampoo/conditioner combos, will we have an extra item to review? That will be my decider.

Reply ButtonReply

Paige

Every time I have received a dual product like that as one of my items, it has allowed me to review both, allowing for 6 reviews and 60 points. This most recently happened with the Korean curated box in January. I got 7 samples, one being a 2 pack foil sample and I was allowed 6 reviews (I guess one item was considered more of a “bonus”). Hope this helps.

Amanda

Just the possibility was enough to decide to go w/the shampoo combo. I want to try the Amika dry shampoo, but I’m considering just buying it full size since I know it will get used anyway.
I think I will sign up another account in March to get the curated box, assuming they restock them.

Tracy

I SO went with the curated box because of course I found it hysterical that the month I start chemo – ALL the samples are hair based. Of course they would be!!! Story of my life!! ROFLMAO

Reply ButtonReply

Angie

Tracy, my prayers? for you during this time! I too will be getting the curated box and I hope you enjoy it as well.

Reply ButtonReply

KathyB

I’m so sorry you’re having to go through chemo…but you sound like you have a great attitude..I wish you the best in your recovery!

Reply ButtonReply

Caitlin

Usually they have a mix of items to try that are things that most people haven’t tried already. I get the feeling that they had one or two other non shampoo/conditioner items lined up for sample choices, but they got pulled somehow so they had to scramble and put something up for choice that they had a LOT of. Thus the all hair choices box 🙁 .

Sorry that you’re going through chemo and good luck! I’m so jealous of the lipstick sample in the curated box – I opted to choose nothing.

Reply ButtonReply

Andrea

I’m not interested in any of that, but I’m sure BB will send me more dry shampoo anyway. =\ Also, do only Aces get sample choice? They started doing that right after I got Ace and quit last year, and I just rejoined but have nothing in my sample choice other than add-ons.

Reply ButtonReply

mimi

I didn’t choose anything this month. I have waist-length hair and condition from about the top of my ear down the length, but only shampoo the roots and about an inch or two down, so I use almost twice as much conditioner as shampoo. I’m not a big fan of dry shampoos. I’d only use 2 of the products in the curated box. So hopefully BIrchbox will surprise me in a good way this month!

I’ve had an Amika dry shampoo sitting around for a while and I decided to try it specifically because this sample selection was coming up. I didn’t like the scent, so I decided not to get it. Also (assuming this Birchbox sample is the same size as the one I already have), the Amika is the smallest dry shampoo sample I’ve ever seen. And I’ve had like 6 or 7 different brands.

I am not impressed with any of the sample choices, so I went with the No 4 shampoo, since I just received their leave-in treatment, so I can try everything together.

Heather

I went with the curated. I really like little shadow pallets to travel with. This one will be a great one to have because the colors are basic. Also excited for the eye mask.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

I am curious as to how big the eye shadow will be. I have brown eyes, so I felt like I couldn’t wear anything but brown until I discovered some other colors that worked for me. Now I have everything but brown, so I am glad to get the curated box and re-stock some brown eye shadow again 🙂

Jen

These sample choices are terrible. Shampoo is such a cheap sample, and conditioner is what everybody needs more of anyway. I got the dry shampoo because I travel a lot and use those, but right now have many dry shampoos to be used up.

I don’t need anything in the curated box, but it looks pretty solid. If I didn’t already have tons of moisturizers and eye gels and eye shadow, and look really bad in nude lip shades, then that would be a good choice for me. I already have the Parlor blowout spray and do like it. Their stuff smells and works great.

Grace

i used double the shampoo than i do conditioner…

fine hair problems i guess, but having the conditioner be smaller is perfect for me

nana

Does anyone know if the smashbox eyeshadow trio is made in China?

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie S.

This is one of the first times I’ve had trouble picking because I don’t particularly want any of the choices. I like the Amika, but already have 3 of those. I really wish there was a cleansing conditioner or deep conditioner option. I have curly hair and go through way more conditioner, than shampoo.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

I rarely choose the curated box, but this one was calling my name! I got a Smashbox eyeshadow sample from Sephora a while back and absolutely love it (despite having innumerable brown eyeshadows already — seriously, the Smashbox was really spectacular) so this was a no-brainer. I’ve wanted to try Kiehl’s for a while, and the eye mask looks great, too!

Reply ButtonReply

Barbara

The sample choice was not very appealed…But I tried the Shampoo Number 4 before and it did really good to my hair, so I’ll go with this shampoo since I can’t afford to buy a shampoo $36!!!
Nothing excited, though !
I hope the rest of the box will be better excitement ! fingers crossed !

The SUBSCRIBENOW50 code is invalid at least for me anyways

Reply ButtonReply

Torri

i have a dry shampoo obsession so i picked the amok. Even though i love smashbox i already have so many eye shadows in those shades and not much else in the curated box appealed to me.

Reply ButtonReply

joy

I wish they had a conditioning cleanser option for us dry curly-headed ladies who don’t use shampoo. ? I get so many shampoo samples from Birchbox. I’ve just started using them as bath gel to try to get rid of the stash.

Tanya

I was so torn on this.. I’m not exactly over the moon on the sample choices. Not only am I a bit picky about the shampoo and conditioner I use, I also use conditioner far more often than shampoo, so its a bit frustrating that they provide just foil packets of the conditioner in conjunction with the deluxe samples of shampoo (not to mention that conditioner is supposed to help balance the PH of shampoo, so if you run out of it you may not feel like the shampoo is doing its job and are less likely to purchase it in the future.)

I almost went with the curated box because it has items I know I would like.. But they also happen to be very similar items in my collection already, like the lipstick and eyeshadow, so I need to use those first before consciously adding more to my beauty cabinet.

So I ended up picking based off which box design I liked more… With the Amika Dry Shampoo choice, lol.

Ragan

I go through conditioner way faster than shampoo, too.

I opted not to choose a sample, though. I don’t want blowout spray, have about 1000 eye gels I haven’t used before, have an entire Smashbox palette which includes some similar colors, hate dry shampoo, and have gotten both the dry shampoo and the N. 4 in boxes before anyway.

We will see what I get. I would be OK with the Parlor sample choice but there is no reason to pick it since it is the only one I could possibly receive.

Sounds like I’m in the minority, but I chose the Amika dry shampoo! I LOVE dry shampoo and haven’t tried this one yet! 🙂

I chose that, too. Love dry shampoo!
