I received mine today. It’s my first box (I bought the December special edition as well). Everything feels super luxury, down to the packaging on the bath salts (I think I like that little bag more than the salts 🙂 ). The mug is prettier than expected but I have no use for it. I don’t think I can sell it though because it probably wouldn’t survive shipment. Surprisingly, the throw disappointed me. I received the color I wanted least (the white) and it’s not wowing me. I think I’m going to sell it.

The winner item for me? The scarf. It’s really nice and soft.

This is a fantastic box! Luxor is doing a great job! Beautiful mug and very pretty skarf! Love the casmere sox..everything is so elegant and special! Was lucky to get the white faux fur throw. May keep in plastic to possibly swap one OP comes out…waiting patiently..

Mine arrived today. I loved everything but the bath infusions. I am very sensitive to scents and the entire box smells like the bath infusions. Not a good thing. I’ll be airing out the throw, socks and scarf and listing the infusions for swap.

Well. Luxor clearly knows how to put a luxury sub box together. Let us pray this magic continues and we do not have our collective hearts broken again (Burke Box quiet sobbing) .The items are always luxury and we pay well below cost for the items. I went and bought two white throws while they were available knowing that I would get a different color in my box. I received the mink and am surprised that I love it! I see how hard these throws are to photograph and am guessing most people will like them a lot more than they thought they would even if they did not get their hoped for color. Almost nothing in my box is going up for swap – typical of Luxor for me!

I wanted this box but couldn’t bring myself to pay the $100. What a great box.

Has anyone gotten the petite box? I’m wondering what that will have- almost got this one but wasn’t sure I wanted the fur throw. I have dogs that shed like crazy alteady?!

The January Petite box included 3 items with a retail value of $102:
1. (1) Pura Botanica “Just Because” Candle $13
2. Jules Smith Crochet Tube Scarf $45
3. etiquette Cashmere Socks $44

Hope that helps!

Hi Liz! Can you start reviewing the petite box?! I always want to subscribe to it but am wary bc I never (usually) have any idea what’s in it, or what past boxes have been!

sara

Thanks! Those were the very items I would have wanted! Darn, but I know for next time!

I just reached out to see if they can provide a list of what was in the Petit box. I’ll keep you posted.

This is a great box! I added it up and purchasing similar but everyday people priced items, (you know, a cute snowflake mug that isn’t $45 lol) it would still cost about $110 without shipping. For me at least, luxury is only worth it when the value is there. So to get such a well curated box and luxury item is awesome, this is the best Luxor box yet!

I love the items in this box! The theme was warm and cozy winter and pretty much every item in the box fits that theme. For those complaining about the prices listed, I think the prices are very accurate. The mug is porcelain from one of the highest end china brands out there and cashmere is the priciest wool like yarn there is. Just price a skein of cashmere yarn as opposed to cotton or wool or even silk. Luxor has consistently delivered high end luxury goods at a fair price. My one tiny complaint -while the scarf fits the theme it would have been nice to get a bit more of an outdoorsy wool or cashmere scarf since we did get a similar jules smith grey scarf in the second Luxor box Still, luxor box has hit it out of the park once again.

I really hope I see some additional mugs up for swap!

I’ll be selling my mug

Got my shipping notice today. Really looking forward to everything, except perhaps the socks as I occasionally have a sensitivity/allergy to wool so I’ll have to try them and see.

So completely happy with this box and cannot wait!

Luxor sends truly luxe items. I LOVE their boxes so much!!
I will use everything in this box, and have purchased 3 mugs to have a set in my blue and white kitchen. I know the history of the company, and know that these are hand painted from a National Geographic image. Very special company! ( I have their tobacco leaf china- have had it for years).
I think all the throws are beautiful and have no preference regarding which one I receive.
Thrilled to have more cashmere socks. 🙂
The beauty items and hot chocolate will be nice as well, but aren’t as thrilling. I’m over candles as I have tons never opened, and also a lot of hand creams from L’Occitane.

My box has shipped, as well. SO nice that a luxury subscription actually sends their products out on time. I am completely happy with Luxor Box, and other than Rachel Zoe, the others in this price range and above all have extreme shipping delays/ problems.

I love this box! I was worried about over inflated prices, but the price of the Mottahedeh mug is accurate and seems to be one of their cheaper mugs at $45. I don’t know about the price of the socks though. I don’t think any sub box goes by Amazon pricing, etc., they seem to go off what the retailer is selling it for. Of course they do inflate sometimes, like when Popsugar inflated the cost of the earrings in the CFDA box and the retailer had them on sale for a lot cheaper.

I received the hot chocolate to replace my melted chocolate bar from the fall LE box. It’s not powder, it’s more like chocolate shavings and they give directions on the tin to make it American or European style. You can also make chocolate syrup for ice cream with it and it is good! I will be gifting this since I have plenty left.

How does anyone possibly get away with saying a MUG costs $45??

Reply ButtonReply

Brooke

I’m with you. I mean, I’m not doubting that the mottahedeh website says $45… but I am questioning that anyone in their right mind would spend $45 on a mug.

Does it come with a bottomless cup of coffee? Maybe it washes itself after you’re finished?

And, $45 socks?

I so hate when boxes inflate values to make it seem like such a great deal. Probably a lot of people would love this box even if real life values were stated.

I have a $500 cookie jar. Yes, high quality China and cashmere cost that much. The box did not inflate the prices. Those are real prices.

Lauren

That’s what it sells for on the manufacturer’s site (if my link does’t post, just google the name/description of it above) https://www.mottahedeh.com/snowflake-mug.html

Mottahedeh is fine bone china. I have a full set of one of their china patterns, as it was on my wedding gift registry.

The old axiom of ” Quality speaks for itself” is ALWAYS true.
Recognizing the quality of this company’s products is very evident when looking at items in person. 🙂

I highly recommend their products for both style and elegance.

This is my favorite subscription box ever! (And I’ve gotten a lot lol)

I am so glad I didn’t get this as I almost did. The blanket looks great, but the rest seems so typical and overly inflated “retail price” $45 mug, $45 socks, really, they look basic to me! Also same old bath salts, hand creams, small tin candles and hot chocolate that are in every sub box I get. Not saying they are not great, but would love to see something more unique. I am simply looking for something original and not overly inflated “retail prices” I just subbed to 3 months of Globein and very looking forward to that! Still have about 10 more subs that I need to dwindle down to about 5. Currently have Oui Please, LLB, PSMH, every PSLE, Rachel Zoe, FFF, BB ,Globein, RS, and Be Spoke and every Target box that is available 🙂 thinks of Hamptons Lane soon 🙂

MANY people who read here subscribe to a plethora of luxury subscription boxes but do not feel the need to cut one of them to ribbons, or list the boxes they buy.
Plus, you are wrong about both the quality of the mug, and I haven’t seen cashmere socks in any other subscription box for women.

This looks great! Can’t wait to get mine. Crossing my fingers for the beaver throw. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the hot chocolate too.
