I bought three lovely polishes using this code. Good deal on top of Maven prices and free shipping, too. A nice little gift that Santa will be bringing me. Thanks for the heads-up, Liz!

I signed up for a sub and cancelled after the first box, no problem. I’ve ordered several items as well. Recently I ordered a skin care kit and they sent the wrong kit, but we’re very friendly and helpful and sent out a replacement immediately and let me keep the $60 of wrong items. No complaints here.

Just because of all the negativity towards julep on this post I want to say I’ve been on their subscription for a while and I have had no problems to speak of. I started a second subscription and cancelled it as well with no problems or any unauthorized charges. Their customer service has continually been extremely helpful when my coupons didn’t work etc. Julep really is a great company.

When you think about how much Julep cuts down prices via Maven box selection, this isn’t much of a sale. Also, just a warning reminder. Julep will do everything in their power to get money from you even after you decide to stop using them so be very careful which card information you use. Apparently once it’s in their system, it’s in there forever regardless if you cancel or request it to be deleted. Don’t end up like me – waking up to an unpleasant surprise charge.

I’ve read enough horror stories about Julep’s monthly sub, so I’ve steered clear of that… however, I’ve purchased a few standalone products from them and haven’t experienced any problems. I’m curious about what happened to you?

I never had a problem with the monthly sub. I did get charged one time when I was not expecting it, but I called their office and got it taken care of very quickly. (I had to call twice for different issues. I found the best time was after work on Mondays — I’m in the Eastern time zone and they’re in Pacific, so they were still in the office and I didn’t have to wait on hold.) E-mail support was spottier.
It’s true that there does not seem to be a way to remove your card from the system. But once I canceled, I did not get charged again. (I ended up signing up again with a different email address later on.)

Did they charge you for something you didn’t order?

Yeah, they did. And not only did they do that, they somehow manage to do it before I updated my card information.
Someone else on here said they had a similar experience with FFF (or a different quarterly box) and because of everyone’s reaction, I thought I would mention my experience with Julep. Also, unlike Ragan’s experience, they did not fix anything after I confronted them about it. They didn’t even acknowledge any wrong-doing! Thankfully my bank said if they don’t refund my money by the end of the month, they’ll do it themselves.
Like I said, be careful with the card information you put into Julep’s system. Clearly they’ll do anything to get money.
