Well my little test worked again this month. I picked my regular box. Then when this was up for sale, I grabbed it plus another full size & $35 bonus. I used my $10 coupon from my Dec box and points! Yay! Love layering the deals! Thanks Liz

Went ahead and grabbed one after looking up the products and their ingredients! I can’t use the lip stain but it looks like all others are possibly great! I already received the primer and don’t mind another and this way I get points from all the samples in my normal box! December I went with curated and only was able to review 3 items since the others I’ve already had 🙁 never again!

I must say i think it’s pretty lousy of Birchbox to sell this box when it’s “sold out” for subscriber’s choice. I wanted to get it for my monthly box, but of course like all their “choices” it was gone…..I think they should only sell these type of boxes once ALL subscribers get their choice. BOO to Birchbox……..BUT Thank-you bunches Liz for all you do!!! Love your site and Happy New Year!!

Agreed. I got my mom a gift subscription and by the time it was her chance to choose a sample, EVERY choice was “sold out.” Since she already got the eyeliner in her first Birchbox, I’m going to be pissed if they send her the same eyeliner in her second/January box.

Hear, hear! I refuse to purchase it separately just on principle. I kinda don’t like Birchbox quite a much anymore 🙁

Sorry..All- I recently subscribed to birchbox- last month. My question is about the points. I keep reading points are determined per calendar year January- December. Does that mean come tomorrow my points are gone? Also, is it common that they are sold out of items a lot or is it because of the holidays? Thank you!!!

From Birchbox’s site:
Points expire one year from the date they were first earned. Your account page links to your Points history, which displays the dates when your Points were accrued.

It worked out for me this time. I just started my gift subscription so I was getting the Welcome Box, so now I can have both and got this one too with my points 🙂
Wish they would let you add the curated when you pick your box and other add-ons.
