The sample choices are not friendly to the 9-5 set. By the time I get notice everything is sold out. Bummer.

I recently cancelled Birchbox…too many products that I just consider fillers – lotion, shower gel, stuff like that. I signed up for the beautyconbff box instead and am super happy with the change.

I re subbed on my account I closed and was able to get the Baggu with my order and my choice was the Eyeko liner, excited to try out and for my second account I chose the K Beauty box. I love K Beauty! I’m glad to hear I wasn’t the only one to receive the email regarding the Macy’s beauty box, poor word choices “waiting is the hardest part”, “it may be awhile” & “hang in there”. Why get our hopes up and then open the email to this SMH.

I chose the lip tint because I’ve been wanting to try that brand for a while, and I’m not interested in all the skincare stuff that comes in the curated box. Hopefully I’ll receive another makeup sample… or maybe even nail polish! (This is a joke. I’ve not yet received a nail polish sample from Birchbox; indeed, I have not yet received my “December” box.)

I ended up going with the curated box, basically because it had 2 of the 3 sample choices. I have enough black eyeliners to last through the next few thousand years, so not too worried about missing that one. I also received the Macy’s e-mail. Not sure why they sent it out, other than to remind people that they’re still there, maybe?

You get points for any samples you haven’t reviewed before, so as long as you haven’t reviewed anything in the curated box before you’ll get points for it, and in this case it looks like the curated box has 7 items, so you end up with 20 more points than the standard 5 sample boxes.

yep, me too. Fortunately I don’t care. I’ve bought a year of Birchbox and a year of Glossybox, and that will give me more samples than I know what to do with (well, not samples in the case of Glossybox, last month they were all full size products).

On my first box I picked the Eyeko, they sent one in my December box, but it was dried up (so I actually didn’t get to use it). Any tips on re-energizing dried up liners anyone? So fingers crossed for the second time around! For my 2nd box I chose the curated box! I ordered the full size Tony tint in early December and it was only $6.00, but it worked better and lasted longer than to my ones by benifit and the balm, which never got dark enough for my lips anyway. So, I am gald I will be getting this in the curated box along with the mask (I could careless about the eye primer). Has anyone else tried the Peripera Tint or Tints and Sass, I like them and they stain pretty well.

I’ve tried the Peripera tints and the Banila tints. The Peripera are watery but layer well and have some serious staying power. The Banila tints are thicker and easier to apply and smell really nice but don’t have quite the staying power. Excited to try this new one!
