Did anyone else feel like KL and Hoda didn’t know anything about the box prior to seeing it on the air?
Hoda – “This is your favorite volume..”
KL “It is?, Oh yes it is….” (fast recovery)

Hoda – “The wine in the box we love.”
….later “Wine Glasses in the box…” as she opens the box to find GLASSES in it not wine.

Yeah, can’t buy it sorry. Nice try though.

Regardless this was meh. I was really hoping for a discount code. 🙁 Oh well.

I should just give Popsugar direct access to my bank account. I almost bought the LE for Him today and if you knew my husband you would know how ridiculous that thought was! I need a 12 step program. Sigh

I am hoping the 4 surprise items, that one of them is NOT a Kathie Lee cd. I swear to God, if they did that, I’d make a Chinese throwing star out of that sucker. LOL

Reply ButtonReply

Oh please, not a CD!

Baaahahahahah!!! I’m with you on that!

Nothing does it for me. This my first sub box Black Friday. Don’t get the hype. Maybe Cyber Monday will be better.

Emily

Last year was so different. This BF was not thrilling for me either. I am also hoping for some excitement on Monday.

I sooooooooo love wine, but do not need wine glasses (my husband called wine glasses as soon as Kathy Lee and Hoda were involved). The whole box isn’t worth my money! I just spent over $200 (thanks CA Sales Tax!) on the his/hers LE boxes.

Brooke

Easy pass. Not wowed by any of the 4 spoiled items, and it feels like the remaining 4 items will only be worth about $10 each….

i wanted to buy it but not really that excited for anything! i am on m/u overload, yet was so hard to ignore Sephora today but i did so far! i do love Oribe but i could buy the large bottle at a discount when various retailers have sales – my Govino’s glasses were accidentally placed in the dishwasher and are history (sadly) as they melted! like everyone, I was hoping for a yearly sub promo or a promo like a $10 off the LE Her box which i then would have bought today! i would imagine a huge bulk of their subs are b/c of these type of promos – I am totally popsugar-less at the moment + i don’t want to be but i’ll wait! no point in buying any PSMH now as we mind as well wait to see if/when PSMH comes out with a promo on Monday! happy w/e to all!

Passing. Nothing is screaming at me. I don’t go on a lot (or any) picnics, and we have tons of wine glasses (mostly inherited). Have tons of blushes and bath stuff. Use dry shampoo maybe once a month — and thanks to subscription boxes have a several-year supply.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristi

Agreed. And why picnic items in the winter?!

Jessica

I have some from a swap (wine glasses), and I actually use them for the BYOB, painting places.

I told myself i’d get it if it was less than $100, so I did. I have the GoVino carafe from a different box that I’m going to combine with the glasses and give as a gift. And I ‘m a sucker for Oribe anything and I like that they left a few things as surprises.

Bought it! I cannot stop with these LE boxes! I love the items and brands included so far!

I set the DVR to record Kathy Lee and Hoda since it doesn’t come on until 10 a.m. at my house. They showed it super duper quick and rushed and spent literally less than a min. on the box once they pulled the red cover hiding it up. They revealed the 4 spoilers above super quick and said it was worth $150 and to post your pics when you get your box on social media. I am tempted but would not normally buy the wine glasses and have zero people to gift them to….everyone I know has all that kind of stuff they need. I’d like the bubble bath as a gift but I am not sure I’d get $75 worth of gifts out of the box. On the fence for now. They quickly moved on to other things on the show. I thought they might say how they picked the items or something and why, etc. but their presentation was very quick and to the point. I wish they would have shown all items. I’m not sure I want to chance $75 on it BUT if I had plenty of money to burn and not think about it—I’d go for it. I always try (keyword: try) to be frugal and get good deals on my gifts.

now that they charge tax on all boxes, the total cost is higher now than back in the old days! so lame that the “reveal” was so quick, PSMH must not have paid them much if at all! i had no clue what time it would be on but i can’t say i have ever watched the show anyway – gave up TV well over a year ago and i don’t miss it much! only miss bravo one in a blue moon, hah!

I was banking on a coupon like last year so I’m pretty disappointed right now, which might have carried over to the spoilers from this box.

They release $109 worth of spoilers that are not impressive if you’ve been a subscriber for longer than 6 months. Blush ($32) GoVino glasses ($23) Oribe ($22) and bubble bath ($32) Those are retail prices but that only leaves a guaranteed value added of about $45 more for the other 4 items.
They sent blush and bubble bath in the Feb 2015 box, and I have the spray too, I thought I got it from PS but the MSA review of Sept 2014 has Oribe hair spray not the dry texturizing like I have??. They’ve had GoVino twice before(August 2012 -wine glasses & Dec 2013 -champange) which is a long time ago. I’ve only been subscribing since Oct 2013 so I don’t have the wine set. There are so many products out there I don’t think they should repeat the same brand on something that only has a few different options, much less send the EXACT same product no matter how long it’s been. I was really hoping for new/holiday products from the Today show box, not a bunch of repeats especially since it is a special edition and costs about twice as much as a regular box.

Had told myself I would order this box if it was $100 or less. And at $75 this is a nice box but I passed. Maybe I’ll regret not getting this when I see what the other four items are.

Reply ButtonReply

Ok. I’m confused. So does the $150 include the spoilers that they show or does that mean that in addition to the spoilers shown, there is $150 in products? It seems like the retail value of the spoilers shown would be use most of the $150.

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

If it’s like the others, the $150 includes the four spoilers.

I was tempted… but I am honestly only intrigued by the elixer… I am not a drinker…. I dont like dry shampoo…and the blush is cool.. but.. I have a BAZILLION…. I am going to have to pass…. I have the Holiday for her box coming and that’s cool enough for me.

Passing on this box. But for those getting it, the Govino glasses are a perfect gift for outdoor lovers. They are a light weight plastic perfect for camping or taking to the beach

Reply ButtonReply

nyxmuse

I was looking forward to this one.. but I’m not thrilled with the spoilers at all.. the “glasses” are $12 plastic glasses which must be handwashed (no!), and I surely don’t need more blush or dry sprays for my hair, though I will add that anything I have tried from Oribe smells fabulous, just wonderful stuff. The 2.2oz is $22 at amazon. Still, I don’t need any of those things and the glasses aren’t that giftable unless it’s like a secret santa at work or something impersonal like that. Wah. I had high hopes for this one.

Reply ButtonReply

Angie

Well, I got it. 3/4 spoilers look good (not that I need any of them),the other is super giftable. I figure at this point I should just stand outside and throw money around its been 24 hours of massive binge shopping! Please take my money!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Nelliebelle1197

I am happy to relieve you of some of that!

Reply ButtonReply

Steph

At this point I’m passing on this one. I need makeup like I need a hole in my head. The glasses are $12 on Amazon. That bubble bath looks and sounds like it smells amazing but it’s not enough to warrant my to spend $75 for $150 retail value.

Reply ButtonReply

Chanttee

I almost wanted it, but then I stopped and thought “would I go out and buy a blush/bronzer, wine glasses, or bubble bath for myself right now?”… Didn’t seem like a must have when I did that. Back to toy shopping, I guess. *shrugs shoulders*

Tessa

Good way to look at it haha! I think you just saved me $75 as well 🙂

I haven’t seen the box shown on the Today Show yet– I could have missed it, but I like the spoilers enough to order one!!

I think Pop Sugar’s site must have already changed the order page because the box is in stock and available for sale without any hassle. Liz’s link works perfectly!! ( THANK YOU, Liz!!!) It took me 10-20 seconds to sign into my account and order one.
When LISA curates a regular or specialPOP Sugar box, I am 99% sure I will like most of the items.

Add me to the person’s comments who said they couldn’t really afford the NM box… I COULD have, but it was too much risk to take at that price point for me, as I really don’t have Christmas gifts to buy for family.

Thank you, again, Liz. I have been awaiting this box going up for sale for days. You’ve made the ordering so easy. 🙂

I just bought it! Did I need it? No! But, I’m loving the high-end brands included! Oribe, Barr-Co and Ciate — YES! I’ve never heard of Govino, but those glasses are very gift-able. I’m not sure what to expect with the 4 surprise items, but if these brands are any indication, I think I’ll be happy. Man, I wish every box “spoiled” 4 items before you ordered!!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Tamara

None of these spoilers interest me. I bought the NM box and the Holiday for Her box, so I’m done for now. If any of the other four items look good, I’ll trade for them.

Good on them for making it $75, though!

Shannon

Anyone know when the holiday box is supposed to ship out?

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

I think Dec 2nd?

Randi

Using the link that is above – it says SOLD OUT, and that more will be available. But I clicked Buy Now anyways, and order went through and just got my confirmation email. Just an FYI for anyone trying to order

So undecided. Think I’m going to wait until Cyber Monday…
