It’s still available it seems. Mine arrived today. Now I ordered the $15 mystery add on, so I don’t know which items came with the box and which were add ons. I’m actually very pleased. Now I don’t have it in front of me so I’m not 100% sure of the names.

Brandy (gun metal holo)
Brenna (blue glow in the dark)
Corrine? (A sand colored stardust)
Margot (a metallic gold/champagne)
Jess (a dark maroon)
Rochelle I think???? (a metallic dark pink/magenta)
Black fluid eyeliner
Blank canvas lip primer
Luxe up your lips in Sangria

I love burgundy colors, golds, and gray with my skin tone, so I’m satisfied. Once again, I have to point out that I recently recieved the fluid eyeliner in another mystery box. But this is at least way more practical than getting a 2nd bottle of the same color again. All in all, it’s a winner for me.

Just got mine today an I LOVE everything. No repeats from last mystery boxes either-Yay! Got the same as you ,but no Rochelle or lip primer-(Did not do the add on).

Jennifer, The mystery add on items were the lip liner and Rochelle.

The mystery box items were Brandy, Brenna, Corinne, Jess and Margot for polishes. The eye liner and the luxe your lips. So the lip liner and the Rochelle would have been your mystery add on.

Hi, Did anyone receive their mystery box yet. It is the last day to order and I would love to know what other products are in it.

Thank you!

I had been looking at this box to subscribe to but instead I started buying the mystery boxes. This will be my third one. I love it! As mentioned below, I can imagine that eventually I will start getting doubles but so far it has been a great way to stock up on polishes and try some new ‘surprise’ products. The value is great so even if I end up with a colour I hate, it doesn’t really bother me. And they have very fast shipping and ship free to Canada, not many places do that!

I bought it because I really like the colors, especially the blue one. And because I’m a nail polish junkie.

I’ve never purchased anything from Julep before. Never used their products either. But I looked at past mystery boxes and they look like great deals, assuming the quality of everything is good. So I took the plunge. Don’t have any desire to have the plie but wth it’s free. And I added on two extra polishes for $5 a pop.

Update: I received my box and am nothing short of impressed! $35 for 7 nail polishes, one eyeliner, a lip color, and a plie wand. Great value. And I am in love with the polish formula! The pigment is true, I only need one coat. It dries lightning fast. Slow drying nail polish is why I don’t paint my nails very often. I can’t wait to buy another mystery box soon, and will probably start to exclusively use julep polishes.

Pass. Julep had like a 6 month run of great mystery boxes, and the last 2 have been very meh, imo. Just duplicates of old colors and such.

If you are NEW to Julep, and looking to build your polish collection, this is probably a good deal though…

I think I might do it because I like the colors…but also because I spilled nail polish remover in my nail tools box and it melted my poor plie wand. lol It’s just not fair! Why make a nail tool susceptible to nail polish remover! haha

Different kinds of plastic are better for different types of items. For example, it would be difficult to make the Plie wand out of the same type of plastic that acetone polish remover comes in. It doesn’t have the same properties as stiffness, type of processing that can be used, brittleness or hardness, ability to withstand pressure (which is actually important for polish remover bottles), being see-through or not, etc.

And then, different types of solvent are compatible with different types of plastic. Cost of materials is also usually involved.

So. Anyway. Plastics manufacture and processing is just really complicated and there are a lot of things that go into it. And whatever the Plie wand is made of represented the best compromise for the manufacturer, but just happened to be one of the types of plastic that dissolves in acetone. (I work at a patent law firm. A lot of the applications we work on have to do with different plastics. So I now know far more about this than I ever wanted to.)

haha I’m sure April meant it rhetorically but thanks for the great explanation!

About how many nail polishes usually come with the mystery boxes? Are there any other coupon codes besides the one listed?

Nicole

I believe last mystery box I got had 4 or 5 polishes total and I added one of $5 as well. It was a really great deal, but I liked the 2 guaranteed colors already .

Thank you!

I kind of like the colors but I think I am going to wait and just get them during the Black Friday sales. Or when I can use one of the coupons I’ve been accumulating. Because I have such bad luck with Julep mystery boxes. I have lots of weird duplicates of yellows, for example.
