  1. From the beginning, the email stated CANNOT BE COMBINED WITH ANY OTHER COUPON CODES at the very bottom of the email. I made a purchase and did not use any other coupon codes and my invoice was fine. People need to read the whole email before they freak out at birchbox for not honoring coupon codes.

    • Actually, the 2 emails that I received from birchbox announcing the sale on Monday do not have anything in the notes about not being able to combine with other offers. The next day, on Tuesday, I received the exact same announcements, but the emails on Tuesday added an additional note at the bottom that you must be logged into your account and cannot be combined with any other offer so they changed the terms of the offer between Monday and Tuesday ( and they invoiced me for more than my confirmed invoice amount when I placed my order).

  2. I have 2 accounts both Aces. On 1 account, I purchased the lovely day yesterday morning and it applied the 40% discount and allowed me to add the rollerball. Invoice was fine. Last night, I placed an order on my 2nd account, and it applied the 40% off and added the rollerball and looked ok when I was reviewing and placing my order, but when they sent the email invoice I was charged full price for items that should have been 40% off. I also noticed they changed the terms from when they were sending out the marketing email yesterday and the email today. The email today says the 40% off discount can not be used with any promotional codes, and I checked the same email from yesterday and it did not have these terms. I called the customer service number on the invoice, and the voicemail said due to the high volume of calls, they were no longer accepting phone calls and to use the online chat or email them. Normally they have good customer service, but between not being able to pick a sample without reloading and reloading the screen yesterday, and having an invoicing issue with no response, I am not impressed.

  3. What a great deal and thank you for the heads up on the additional bonus score. I got the Lovely Day box, the Vanille Extreme rollerball, (I have and love the Vanille Abricot in both the spray and the rollerball) and the Bonus Surprise pack. AWESOME BB DEAL!! How I love BB!! I never buy at “the stores” anymore. If I am unsure of a color/scent/whatever..I go to “those stores”, use a tester, then buy at BB. You just CANNOT beat their deals, points and customer service.

  4. Super frustrating I tried using the gift with purchase codes and they don’t work and then it goes to webpage unavailable.

  5. I’m not an Ace- I can’t get to the link either. Are there lots of items on sale? I’m thinking that if I guess the right ones without the link I might hit on the 30%. Thank you!!

  6. Birchbox is definitely down. I think the combination of the MSA email and sample choice email going out at almost the same time brought too many people to their site at once. UGH!

  8. I’m trying to figure out why I didn’t get an email about the ACES sale?? I know I’m an ACE….I can’t even get the non-ACE sale page to come up and I’ve been trying all day. Hopefully they will email me back with what’s going on! Uuughh…soooo hard for a BB addict! LOL!

    • I’m an ACE and didn’t get the email either. It seems like they stagger all of their promotional offers to keep the site from being overwhelmed all at once. That’s one great advantage of checking MSA!

    • I didn’t get an email about it until today and I’m an ACE too, now the website isn’t even working.

  15. Awesome deal thank you. I purchased the lovely day box and a full size body lotion in lime and coriander yum, got the roller perfume for free and mystery pack and paid $5. With the 40% off and my $40 in points… five bucks! awesome deal

  16. I really should be saving money, but I couldn’t resist the Lovely Day box. With that discount and $10 in rewards, it was only about $30. Plus a free mystery box and perfume. That’s a damn good deal.

  17. i got the lovely day box, it came to $37 with the 40% off. I added the mystery sample pack AND I was able to add a roller ball fragrance from South Pacific using code Roller1 (there are 3 different fragrances to choose from).

    I tried to get the free Rituals shower gel but it said the code didn’t apply to my cart. Both of the free gifts said the required purchase was $35 so I’m not sure why the roller ball worked and not the shower gel. Oh well, what a great deal!

    • I am pretty sure you can only use one code per order. So since you used the rollerball code, you can’t use any others.

    • I think they may have been out of stock on the gel. I did the same and the gel didn’t work and after the scent of rollerball I wanted didn’t work I went with the code for the free dry shampoo, but the code for the other scents of rollerball seem to work, so I think it’s an inventory thing.

  18. I just got the October Prospurly box and it’s amazing! Just a great box, can’t wait to see a review on it!

    On a related to this post note, I bought the Lovely Day box long ago and loved it, thought it was a great value.

    • I also thought the Lovely Day box was great. (My favorite Birchbox LE boxes are the beauty ones. Can’t pass those up.)

  19. Ugh! I’m very disappointed. I made a mistake with my order and thought, no worries, I’ll just call and one of their reps will fix it. But Birchbox no longer answers the phone!! Only option is online chat, requesting a call back from them, or email. I can’t find where to request a call back from them and I’ve been waiting for online chat for over 5 minutes! This is a serious pet peeve of mine and as much as I like Birchbox and have appreciated their outstanding customer service, I won’t be using them for any Christmas shopping. Thumbs down Birchbox!

    • Try an email. I made a mistake on a recent order and emailed them as the only option. They contacted me within hours and were able to cancel the order. I was impressed. Usually email communication means 2-3 days, but they were very quick and helpful in responding. Good luck.

      • I tried online chat. It took 25 minutes, which I thought was kind of excessive. The majority of that time I was waiting for someone to get to me. I checked FB and the same complaints are popping up there. I hope they reconsider because they were always known for awesome customer service.

  20. I’ve been eyeing the Lovely Day box for a while now and with the discount and $20 in points, I couldn’t pass it up! Thanks for the info!

    • Yes, I did the same thing – free with points plus the rollerball perfume and the mystery sample pack. Added a small item (lafresh makeup remover wipes) to get closer to 400 points so that was free, too.

      I have a feeling Lovely Day might sell out soon so probably better not to wait if interested. Also noticed the Kate Spade items going out of stock fast.
