I fell in love with Tonymoly when my daughter was teaching in Seoul. She always sent me the best stuff. I used points and the 20% coupon and am totally happy with my purchase. And the packaging is adorable, too. I am also happy with my mystery sample pack – lace hair tie and nice sized tube of Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator.

Mine arrived today, and I’m happy with all the items and sizes except the hand cream. I only received one packet, not two as described but it’s not even worth contacting customer service because they are teeny tiny.

Received my two boxes that I ordered and love them! I too only received one hand cream in each box! I just sent them an email cause I really wanted to try it more than once (the other box is a gift) plus they should be aware. This is well worth the money!

Received mine yesterday, only one Banana Hand Milk just like everyone else. Loved everything and the box itself is adorable.

Bish

Hmmm, thought it was just me because the box wasn’t tightly sealed. Let us know their response!

HL

I thought maybe mine had slipped out into the shipping box because i recycled that before opening the package, but it looks like everyone got only one?

Same here. Mine came with one packet.

Mine only came with one banana hand milk, too.

I just bought this one. I found the tony moly at Ulta and wanted another and also a felt tip liner. So those made it worth it for me and the 20% coupon worked.

If you want korean skin care and make up, check Mishibox. It’s $19 or $20. I like it. This month wasn’t good for me personally (nail polish and skin care for oily skin – I have dry) but every months before were great.

bella

Thanks you soooo much for this info!! I really looooooove all korean beauty products!!! I subscribed today.

Umm..no. Memebox. I concur. A heck of a lot more and much better quality. Bring on the spoiled bean curd and snail slime! ? ?

I would have preferred to see this priced a little lower…$25? Just given how most LE boxes are priced, that seems more fair. But I’m glad to see them venturing into it. I had a 25% off discount code so I snagged it and the $5 Stephanie Johnson mirror from the CA sale for $10 (after using $20 in points) vs the $10 I was planning on spending on a western liquid liner on sale next week and got way more then the liner.

Works for me because I got way more bang for my buck and while I’d prefer to see skincare, I’d love to start including some Kbeauty items in my makeup routine as well. Intrigued by the Twinkle lips, needed a back up mascara, and the Panda stick…so cute and I’ve heard some good things!

I just wish they would start carrying some more skincare brands soon. I wonder if enough of us sent emails just titled GIVE US SNAIL, if it would happen. 😛

I am not sure what is going on. I cannot get into my swaps to add tracking numbers, and I have 3 swaps going on. I messed up and added a link and Liz was going to let me back on the site the next day. But it has been about 3 days and I cannot get the addresses I need to send 2 of my swaps, as well as add the tracking numbers but some have probably already received their products because I have. Help???

I decided to go for this one, first time buying a special edition box. Used some points and coupon code and got a free sample pack so couldn’t pass it up for $8 (thanks Liz for the coupon codes and sample pack reminder!).
Its such a cute box and cute packaging on some of the products.

Mana

Overpriced. Very overpriced for samples. There are dozens of other Asian beauty subs out there that send full size products, this seems like a money/points grab ?

Reply ButtonReply

Ally

I’m a big Kbeauty fanatic, but this stuff is mediocre and overpriced! Go for it if you can get it as cheap as the $8 person who posted, but otherwise skip it. Nothing in there is THAT great, really.

Reply ButtonReply

HL

I went for it and I don’t even have points right now, but I did have one coupon code that still worked on my second account. I am so excited if this also means that more samples will be from these brands. Would have love the cushion blusher over the mascara from the same brand, but the packaging is so fun.

Bought it! Love it! Been waiting on this type of products. Love Korean beauty items. Remember to add in your Mystery bonus samples, try a 20% off coupon, you can use your points, and today is free shipping for everybody due to Customer Appreciation Day!

I’ve been wanting to try Korean beauty products for quite a while but I never knew where to start. I was all ready to jump on this until I read these comments. Now I dunno.

Ally

Go for Mishibox! They’re new but pretty good.

Brooke

I went for it. Between the coupon and points, it cost me $8.

Does anyone know if H-Mart sells Korean skincare? There is one about 30 minutes from me (in a direction I never go otherwise). Thanks!

lacus

The selection depends on how big your HMart is. Generally, they do carry korean skincare, but it’s limited to roughly a few shelves. They even carry a few japanese and tawainese skincare products as well. If your HMart is fairly large, you will probably have better luck in the little third-party shops inside the HMart complex. My local HMart has The Face Shop, AmorePacific, and then a small counter which sells Etude House, Innisfree, etc.

The Hmart I go to doesn’t, exactly — or it’s very limited to a few things. But it does have vendors in the front of the store that do – it seems to be by brand, and certainly isn’t comprehensive. But mine has a nice Amorepacific stall, where I can even get the darkest Iope Air Cushion shade that you absolutely can’t get online (but no innisfree products, oddly). Another shop in the front of “my” Hmart has shiseido, hollika hollika, peripera, and some others.

As I just found out, H-Mart is an Asian grocery store – but similar to a Stop and Shop – has a few aisles of housewares, too.

Despite needing nothing – after this discussion I couldn’t resist driving there after work. I found that my store had almost nothing – but there were two store-in-store type stalls in the front. The selection there was ok, not amazing. The only brands I knew were Face Shop and Laniege.

Having never heard of it before, I ended up buying an Iope Air Cushion and two Mamonde sheet masks. Foundation is never light enough for my skin – and the C21 was actually a match. I was thrilled.

The woman also gave me a bunch of free samples: a 3-piece Iope Plant Stem Cell skincare kit, 7 days of Iope serum, and balancing water and balancing emulsion from Sulwhasoo. All generous sizes too.

I’m looking forward to trying everything while I wait for my Birchbox kit.

Katherine

What’s hmart?

Kate

Me too. Can’t beat 8 bucks. I got a free anniversary keychain too. I have been trying to cut back and use what I have but how can one not justify 8 bucks!?!

Ashley

I believe they do….I hear about it all the time on the AB reddit subforum.

Brooke

Thanks!

Recently ordered the Memebox staff picks skincare box for $32 with free shipping. It has 5 full size products. 5 star reviews and they all say that they recd other samples as well. Have been wanting to try Memebox for a while. Prefer skincare over makeup.

Sara

This sounds exciting, but the samples are so small. You can get a Memebox for the same price with full size products. Or Beauteque Beauty Bag is $24 for 6 full size products + shipping.

Janelle Hagelin

hope this is a sign that they are venturing into the Korean products for inclusion in boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Nanners

Omg I bought it! Almost all the items are cult favorites and it was high time I finally try them. The TCFS mascara is apparently popular enough that there are fakes/counterfeits sold on the Internet. Memebox/Urban Outfitters sells some of these but for once Birchbox has the better price! Especially with my 20% off! For those who believe only korean skincare is popular, though, I’m not so sure, my k-beauty eyeliners trump all other western brands except Bobbi Brown :p

Reply ButtonReply

Becki

I love KBeauty, but this is ridiculously overpriced! And, I agree with the others…most of the products are not what they should be putting in a curated K-Box. I’m disappointed. Boo Birchbox. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Veronica

Considering I miss Korean skin care stores sooo much this is sort of a bummer. You would spend a couple thousand Won and get a whole Ipsy or Birchbox worth of samples and you got so much stuff for your money. This is crazy expensive if you were actually in Korea. So bummed because I love all things Korean skin care.

Reply ButtonReply

Penny

I was excited! But the box is Disappointing. The reason I stop subscribing to most boxes is eye liner and lip gloss. I have more than I will ever use in a lifetime.

When I think Korea, I think skincare, not make-up.

Reply ButtonReply

MizD

Can you use your Birchpoints? I don’t see where they are taken off?

Reply ButtonReply

Rena

I wanted this until I saw what was in it. 3b is only $12 and they sent me some snail hand cream, eye lash primer, bee venom pimple blaster and rather large sample of yu-be.

Reply ButtonReply

Caroline

snail…. bee sting? Uh… i am half saying interesting 1/2 saying eeeeewww

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

Hi! I might just be out of the loop, but what is 3B? Thanks! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

PA Anna

google “the 3b subscription box” It may still have a waiting list. It’s a fun K-beauty box.

Cindy

Wow, that is a disappointing first attempt.

Reply ButtonReply

Theresa

At first I was excited – especially since Korean skincare is all the rage now, but after looking at the contents, I am disappointed in their first Korean curated box. You can get better boxes (one time purchases, not subscription) for around the same price (or even less) from memebox.com!
