My box arrived today. I’m at the point where I think (need) to cut back in boxes and I think I’ll definitely keep MizFit. I wish I had discovered it sooner. I love sampling things and she always delivers on that front. I’m excited to have a to-go blender. I can take it to work with me and blend up a shake after my workout! The sunnies (amazingly) actually look good on my long narrow face and I imagine they’ll work for nearly everyone. Thanks Bianca!

Ugh!!! One of the reasons i got this box was for the tea. It is from Canada and to order both teas will be $50.. What a let down to only get 2 tea bags!! And this is the one product with no coupon!

Hi Liz,

Just a suggestion, if Eric could implement a way of threads or updates, so that the series of related post are threaded together (for example spoier #1, 2, 3), or just update the post and the post got automatically pushed to the front based on its last update timestamp. Personally I prefer the second option 🙂 Either way that will make simpler for user to get the information, and comments also get to be in the same place. Thanks for putting on a great site!

I don’t know if I believe that the ingredients of tea can help you lose a significant amount of weight. (That being said, one morning I had some Chinese-style green tea brewed too strong and I didn’t want to eat until noon, which I suppose would lead to weight loss if consumed regularly.) Still, I like trying new tea just for the flavors.

I think the reason I don’t subscribe to this box is because the items are often things I already own, or have versions of (fitness tracker, ankle weights, spiralizer, blender, etc.). Many are similar to things I would include if I curated a fitness box (I wouldn’t include temporary tattoos, of course…).

There is a subscription box that includes work-out equipment. I’m sorry I can’t think of the name, I found it on the list here on MSA though under fitness.

I agree — which is why I rely on spoilers so much for this type of box. As soon as I know I want certain items, and the cost of buying individually would be virtually the same as buying the box, I tap in. The only box that I have the running subscription to now is Nina Garcia. That’s also why I like the model of Hamptons Lane — they make it really easy to opt in or out.

I take this approach too…

I’m also in a similar situation when it comes to this box – I have a ton of fitness stuff so although I’m probably the target market, I also am going to be picky about when I opt in, as I already have a lot. I love it when I can discover new random things – like the pB fit, which I hadn’t gotten around to trying until I got this box, and that awesome silicone purse thing, which has been super useful for keeping stuff safe in my gym bag or jogging stroller.

What other kinds of things would you put in a fitness box, Ragan?

Maybe individual DVDs I liked. (I do a lot of exercise DVDs at home.) I like kundalini yoga but it’s not for everyone (guaranteed to be different from the standard hatha yoga DVDs, though).

For equipment, I’ve really been into kettlebells lately. I’m not sure that would be convenient to ship (they can get heavy). But there are some other inexpensive (as in <$50) pieces of equipment I've been happy with lately — various types of resistance bands, for example. (And wrist wraps for using a kettlebell — I've got some adjustable size ones that are good.) Wouldn't send any item without exercises or links to YouTube demonstrations of exercises.

In the kitchen, an immersion blender. Those are so much more convenient for blending protein powder and smoothies than regular blenders because they're less expensive to clean. And not everyone has one. (Also they're not too expensive for a subscription box.) If I included that Chinese tea that suppressed my appetite, there's also a glass infuser I really like for it (it's whole leaf tea). And some of my favorite protein products (bars, powders, other stuff). Everything would be vegetarian, of course!

Also superfoods. There are so many interesting new things to try — white mulberries, goji berries, camu camu powder, cacao nibs, various greens and sea greens in dehydrated form. Maybe with recipes to use these ingredients.

*Maybe* some beauty items if they could be used by most people regardless of skintone and most allergy/ingredient concerns. But they would have to tie in to fitness somehow.

Apparel would be tricky. I can see issues with sizing. Maybe socks? I know socks really matter when I work out.

I'd stay away from downloads and apps because not everyone can use them and sometimes a credit card is required.

Anyway, that's what I can think of off the top of my head.
