Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service for women sizes 10-32. I have been intrigued with their concept for a while because I think plus-sized clothing is sorely underrepresented in the subscription box market. I have been really happy to have an opportunity to try them out!
Gwynnie Bee kindly invited me to try their service for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

BB DAKOTA - Gallant Vintage Rose Dress
This might be my favorite dress I've worn all summer! It's made out of a non-stretchy fabric, which was a nice change, and it had a tiny bit of a sheen. Otherwise it was very comfy, and I really liked the vintage print!
EFFIE'S HEART - Lise Top In Poppy Print
On the other hand, I think this was the worst thing I've ever received from Gwynnie Bee! I don't like the print as much as I did on their website, but the fabric is just thick and super stretchy. It basically magnified all my problem areas! Plus it was too small, and so far everything I've ever rented from Gwynnie Bee has fit in my size as long as I have followed the size guidelines.
LONDON TIMES - Shift Dress In Curved Zigzag Print
One time I was watching "What Not to Wear" long ago, and they said that women with big arms should steer clear of cap sleeves. Why can't I remember that? Otherwise this dress was comfy and cute.
This top was really comfortable, but I think it did look like a bag on me as much as it does on this dress form.
MYNT 1792 - Cold Shoulder Dress In Python Blue
This dress is awesome! It had a lining that was kind of snug, but which worked well to remind me to hold everything in and to take ladylike steps. The cut-out shoulders were small enough to be sexy but not trashy. Plus the cut was really flattering! This was a big win! I would have bought this one, but I just don't go to enough exciting events to make this purchase worthwhile.
IGIGI - Isla Dress In Fuchsia Vine
I seriously haven't contemplated wearing a dress or top with a ruffle like this ever in my adult life. I think because they were so big before I was born that whenever my mom forced me to wear something like this I always felt dated and hokey. But, I tried this one and it was really pretty and feminine and flattering! I'm very happy I tried it. I have hope for ruffles in the future.
ISABEL + ALICE - Butterfly Printed Hi-Lo Tunic
This was my first time trying a high-low anything, and I have to say, this was really flattering! I felt great in this tunic, plus I love butterflies. If it had been a bit more colorful, I would have bought this tunic.
ISABEL + ALICE - Monochrome Spotted Peplum Top
This top looks really pretty on the model, but the fabric felt kind of unpleasant and the cut was all wrong for my body shape. It's a beautiful color, though.
The Verdict: As usual, the only issues I had with Gwynnie Bee this month were matters of personal taste and some minor fitting issues. Otherwise, everything was great! This month I sometimes notified them of returns and sometimes didn't, and the results are consistent with other months in terms of item turnaround time. I am really enjoying this subscription because I love wearing new clothes all the time! Again, I have never had any issues with unclean or smelly items, and only once have I ever felt like a dress should probably have been retired due to age. If you are plus sized and get bored with clothing easily, then I would definitely recommend Gwynnie Bee!
