I had already planned to cancel but the spoilers pushed me to do it today. I have super thick hair so that brush won’t work for me. Don’t know if all the others products will be drugstore, but ill keep an eye on allure and resub the quality picks up

A detangling brush and a drug store toner? And these are the spoilers?!? Anyone else feel like this is more in line with the Ipsy demographic? Allure had been one of my favorites until the last few months but I think it’s time to cancel to make room for the upcoming Sephora box.

I’ve never tried either of these products. I’m fine with samples if there’s actually enough to try. This months box looks promising imo. Thanks Liz.

I have that comb. It only works if you have really thin hair. Useless of thick hair like mine.

I have thick hair and it works great on me, favorite brush I have ever used.

That’s not true at all. The Tangle Teaser works just fine with thick hair. Maybe you’re brushing your hair wrong..? I say that because I’ve noticed a lot of people thinking it’s like a regular brush but it’s actually a detangling brush. You have to be cautious while detangling your hair especially if you have naturally curly and/or thick hair.

I’ll be curious to see what Allure’s stated retail values are for these spoiler items. The brush is priced at $5.99 at my local Ulta. Pixi is another drugstore brand so their products are always on the low end for full size (and you never really get much full sized anything with this sub). Allure has a tendency to send a lot of drug store items but then majorly inflate the retail values, even when they send small sample sizes. After 3 different re-branding launches for this sub I gave up and cancelled after the first month of version 3.0 because the value to cost ratio was crazy low, even with a discounted first box. Plus I never got the bad taste out of my mouth when they did the bait and switch with the EL cream last fall and sent one half the advertised size and supposedly made up the difference by including mini L’Oreal shampoo and conditioner samples.

The full size Pixi Glow Tonic is $29 and is one of the products not available at Target. I’ve been wanting to try this forever, but I’ve only seen it on Pixi’s site. I see it on ton’s of cult lists.

This is what I’ve been waiting on!!! The first couple boxes since it has been strictly allure have not been too exciting and I’ve thought about canceling. Not yet though I’m excited for September!!!

Loanne

Does anyone know if I sign up now will I get August or September? Do I have to wait til September 1st to not get charged for August?

Ragan

I think they only ship once a month so if you sign up now, you should get September.

I’m curious about this as well!

Yes! No alcohol in the Pixi tonic. Hoping it will be full size but doubt it according to the photo?

nana

From the photo, it looks like a 1 oz sample
