Subscription Box Spoilers – Do You Peek?

Subscription Box Spoilers

I post about a new subscription box spoiler at least a few times a week, and I want to know - do you peek at spoilers?

I personally can't resist looking at any new box spoiler. But on the few occasions where I've received a box without knowing anything about what's inside, I've really enjoyed that too!

Do you look at all spoilers? Only ones when you are debating about signing up for a box? Or do you go completely spoiler free?

I love spoilers. I want Geek boxes to do more of them. I have looked at their reveals and wish I had purchase them. It’s such a gamble on geek/gamer boxes when it comes to my children and their preferences.

i must have spoilers. I check on every box that I am interested in or have. Withdrawal otherwise. I am desperate about Popsuagar spoilers for August.

I look at spoilers for boxes I’m already signed-up for. Although, I will look if it’s a box I’m thinking about purchasing. Thanks!

as Long as it’s not movie spoilers, I enjoy your posts, Liz ! 😉

I look forward to spoilers each month, right after the last box arrives I find myself looking at my email for the first spoilers, they keep me interested until it is time for the next month’s first box to arrive.

I try my best to go spoiler free. It’s very hard to do though with all the info that gets shared. For some reason I will peek at ipsy though.

I always peek even though I don’t want to. I can’t help myself.

I do my best to never see spoilers for the boxes I’m getting. I love the surprise… it’s like my birthday or Christmas! 🙂

I love surprises, so I only look at spoilers if I’m debating on whether or not to get a box. A really good spoiler will make me subscribe. If I’m already a subscriber, I never look. There’s too much fun in opening a box, it’s like a present!

I try really hard not too….but I usually do! When I get my box though, I still have great fun actually getting my stuff and don’t regret peeking at spoilers ?

Yeah, I look. But I usually end up forgetting what comes in which box by the time I get mine, so I get the best of both worlds. It’s kind of like when you get really old and every episode of I Love Lucy is a new one. . .

I love spoilers but don’t look at them if Its a box reveal of the ones I order. I learned from looking at the PSMH NM complete spoilers, hated them so no satisfaction was ever received from my part. It’s hard to resist the ones from Rachel Zoe but I restrain myself and I enjoy unwrapping everything!

I like to read spoilers when I’m considering whether to buy a box. I’ve also promised myself no more expensive boxes (and that’s really $40 plus) without at least one spoiler to get an idea of where the box is going, especially with LE boxes.

I *try* to avoid spoilers for boxes I have coming, like on pre-paid subs. But it depends on how long till I am going to get the box. If it’s going to take me more than two more days to get a box after I start seeing spoilers here and Instagram, MUT, etc, then I will cave. I do like the surprise, but it’s okay to see spoilers too to manage expectations. And I agree with what others have said here that sometimes what I think of a box when I see spoilers, is not how how feel once I’ve had the box in my hands for a few days, so that has helped me in seeking out spoilers. If I see them and they’ve great, I don’t get my hopes up too much, and if they’re awful I don’t freak out, because it’ll probably be better once I get everything 🙂

I am WEAK, WEAK, WEAK….I almost always look at spoilers!! LOL! 😉

I do!!!! But I’m going to try and resist! It spoils the fun…although Instagram always ruins my fun because I’ll see a spoiler from the company scrolling through!!!

I always look at the spoilers!

I try to avoid them most of the time, as I immediately wrap boxes in Christmas wrap and put them on a shelf and save them as presents to myself. It’s fun at Christmas if I have no idea what’s in the boxes.

It’s hard to avoid the spoilers sometimes, though, when people comment on the contents of a box in a different thread than you were expecting, like a shipping update for example, or when the “popular in swaps” picture on the side of the page shows something that you knew was in a box, but didn’t know what it looked like until that moment.

That said, though, I tell myself that by the time Christmas gets here, I won’t remember what was supposed to be in any box anyway. Well, I hope, at least!

I love spoilers, thank you. I like to plan ahead what I will keep, gift, swap, and when not to subscribe. Please keep it up! ?

Annie

I never ever look at spoilers for boxes I subscribe to. That’s the whole point for me, I love surprises! I do however look at spoilers for one-time purchase boxes to help me decide whether to buy them and I look at spoilers for every single other box out there that I don’t get. I love living vicariously through you Liz!

Ditto – I love getting a small surprise package in the mail a few times a month! I never peek, but agree with Annie about the one-time boxes.

I’m weird and like to alternate the knowing with the surprise. With Ipsy especially I would look at the glam room one month and completely avoid it the next! I’ll almost always look at the first spoiler though, because who can help it sometimes 😀

Danielle

Same here! Sometimes I look at complete spoilers, and sometimes I like the surprise. I almost always look at one-item spoilers, though – I can’t help it! 🙂

I prefer not to look at spoilers if I know my box is coming…however, when the shipping is so staggered and I know there is more than 3 days to wait then I look. But I SUPER love getting boxes without knowing what is inside them.

I love spoilers that is one reason why I signed up with Liz . I got to see the Target beauty boxes on sale and actually got to order them. With out spoilers I would never of know what was in the target boxes. Plus it does help make up your mind if you are going to try a different sub box or try a new one. 🙂
