I just opened the box, and I think I have to cancel….the box, while lovingly packaged, is barely worth it at half off, and not even close at full price. The items included are perfectly nice on their own, but not thrilling, and not the home items I was expecting. Maybe the value/contents reflect the half off coupon code for the first box, but I think I’ll stick with PSMH despite liking the idea of this…..

To say that I’m underwhelmed would be an overstatement. I’ll give it a couple of more months to see, but right now I’m just not impressed.

I just received my box. Very nice packaging but I for sure would not pay the full price for this especially since shipping is extra.

I just received my box! Don’t want to spoil for anyone so all I’ll say is I think they did a very nice job and I’m happy for what I paid (used the 50% off) but I’m not sure I’ll stick with it for the full price. I think I’ll definitely give them at least one more month though. The curation is very thoughtful and I love the personal touch from Lauren. My wallet is saying you don’t need this box but my heart is saying this is a business I want to support! 🙂

For $24 shipped, I LOVE it!! For $47? No way! Hopefully the value is better next month. I’ll hang on to see. I will say I loved the thread and the note. Very nice touches.

I was extremely happy and excited to receive my box today and see what was in it but Im with you Kristen, I think for the 50% price we paid it is spot on but not for the full price i dont think it is worth it. Beautiful packaging and lovely touch with the personalized note so I will give it one more month to see if next month at full price the items might feel worth the cost of it.

Mine won’t arrive until Monday. Thank you for not posting spoilers (even tho I scoured the internet looking for any confirmed ones lol). I prefer the surprise. Can’t wait!

Just received my shipping notice, can’t wait to see what this box contains!

Me too! WIth the 50% off I’m pretty sure I won’t be disappointed but I hope they have a good start!

Too intriguing to pass up with the 50% off! I’m in for the first month at least.

The code still works, just signed up. I’m also trying out linencrate this month.

I wouldn’t have risked it for full price plus shipping, but I did take advantage of the 50% off option. Fingers crossed for a good debut!

It came out to $23.47 shipped, I believe.

I would love a 50 % off link, is it possible to share it?

Carey

I checked out the link Liz added it works.

Hey, if you want mine, I would be happy to email it to you 🙂

I believe that the referral is being sent to those who subscribe. I just signed up for this box and was immediately sent a link to give to a friend for 50% off their first box and $20 credit for me. I would love to share, but I am not sure how that works on this site as I am relatively new. I would like to not get removed from MSA for sharing links 🙂

There is a referral link for 50% off at another subscription box reviewer’s website.

I found it by googling “Aster Market discount code”

It looks interesting. I noticed more new boxes are charging shipping. I wonder if the days of free shipping will be ending.

Monica

Free shipping isn’t truly free. It’s just included in the purchase price.

Andrea

I would rather have the shipping absorbed into the cost of the box =) It’s something I noticed while I was selling on Etsy–some sellers put part of the shipping costs into the price of the product so that the shipping appears lower to buyers.

Mailbox Junkie

I know I am not happy about it. Free shipping really adds to the value of the box for me. I did wonder how some companies were making it though

I definitely want to see a review first since this is a pretty vague description. Considering the monthly cost, waiting is the only way to go for me.

One cool thing about them is that you get to chose a non-profit that will get 25% of the net profit of the subscription!

Reply ButtonReply

Gloria

I’m getting suspicious of the sub companies that advertise that a % is going to a non-profit. I rather donate to the charities or non-profit directly.

I prefer how Sevenly does it-$7 of each item or subscription box. Not a vague % of “profits”. Many times companies report loses, especially when they first start up.

Cindy

I would as well.

Rachel

looks like it could be a great box! I’ll wait for the first review before deciding though! I agree with the previous poster who said thanks to Liz and Eric–I’d never know which box to try without you guys!

Any idea how many items will be in a box? I’m relatively new to the subscription box world. Is the number of items expected usually stated when a new box starts?
