My husband ordered this for me and I just opened it today(one of my Christmas presents). I got the Mod Backpack in Minx and the Mimosa rose gold clutch. LOVE both items.

Has anyone ever had to deal with Deux lux’s customer service? I ordered the Mystery Box and an additional item. When I received the package, it only contained the two items for the Mystery Box although the invoice said all three items should be in there. I’ve been trying to contact their customer service for several days via e-mail and voice messages. I haven’t heard anything back from them.

This exact thing happened to me! I called them and got through to a live person on the first try. I explained the situation and he was extremely helpful and nice. I received a tracking number for my missing item a few hours later. They are based in CA and I’m in NC so I called at 5:30 EST, which makes it 1:30 PM there, right?

PA Anna, did you have any trouble opening the fathom clutch? I can’t seem to get it open, so either I’m doing it wrong or it’ss broken. Boo 🙁 !

I had a hard time opening mine. It took some force to get it open. The chain inside had somehow gotten closed up in the hinge, so that’s why it was so difficult to open. Good luck.

I just grabbed my first box from them! I missed out on the first 2 boxes they offered. I’m out of the country so I won’t know what I got until next month but I’m excited to see what pops up on swaps and see what everyone else gets!!

I’ve really been wanting to try one of these boxes, but I know I’m probably not going to carry the backpack much at all, so I’ll wait for the next one. I’ll probably be jealous once I know what everyone receives though.

URGH I am so tempted. I am a crazy bag lady, and looked on the site to see what they had….and would be thrilled with all but about 2 of the backpacks and clutches they offered. My luck though is that those are the ones I would get. Has anyone had good or bad luck with swapping bags with other bags from Deux Lux, or does everyone pretty much get the same?

Oh! And yes there’s usually a big variety in what’s sent out. Although it did sometimes SEEM like there were one or two bags that a lot of people got.

I bought both of the other mystery boxes and oddly enough, most of my swapping was for non-DL bags. While I did receive a few requests from people who had DL bags to swap, nobody had bags that I actually wanted. And it seemed like nobody was posting the bags I wanted! But that’s just me. I will say that I received a LOT of swap requests when I posted anything from DL.

I’ve never gotten one of these mystery boxes, but I think I noticed that some items that people get in their boxes aren’t on their site. Many are, however. But yeah, people get different things and in different colors.

I got all excited when I saw this, but then I read the bit about it being a backpack and a clutch. I don’t really need or want a backpack and I’m pretty clutched out. Bummer. 🙁

I think it is in their terms that the code can’t be used on mystery boxes. I believe some people were able to last time. It sounds like they fix their coding to reflect no discount codes on mystery boxes.

Whoops, I misunderstood – I hope my order goes through OK! I read the no combining asterisk to be referring to the 30% off stuff, not the mystery box. Hopefully I didn’t miss out.

it does say right on the box that coupon codes do not work on this item, i know it works sometimes cuz it did for my previous mystery boxes but it may not work for everyone

I think you may need to actually sign up for the mailing list with the email you use to purchase your mystery box (which would only seem fair!). Let me know if that helps!

I signed up for the mailing list and tried to purchase using the same email address but when I try to put in the coupon code I got a message that says “Coupon cannot be used for the product you ordered”. I wonder if there is a minimum purchase requirement or if it just can’t be used on the mystery box?

Right?? I hate that pattern! And of course, that’s what my weekender from last time was. (And in peach, to! IMO, that’s the worst of the three colors.) :p On the bright side, that pattern is pretty popular and I’ve been able to trade easily with it.
