I made a $67 purchase just the night before they made the Cynthia Rowley Gift Set available so I e-mailed them and they’re going to send me one. Pretty glad because I like the Cynthia Rowley pencil liner formula, but I’ve only ever received the silver one which I really never have an occasion to use. And I know they’ve been sending out the creamy lip stains for a while now but I only just got one in Poppy in my May box and I looove it. I’m sure I’ll love the Sugar shade in this kit as well! I might use the highlighter, and the bag is cute! I love that they’re letting me have one.

Got my kit today; the black pencil liner is awesome! I think I’m one of the few people who still get excited about sampling new black liners haha. I’m always looking for the perfect one. Also, the make up bag is even cuter in person. The lip stain isn’t pigmented enough for the color of my lips, though.

Thus was my first month with Birchbox and I have two accounts, one was the $1 deal. I already received two boxes from the end of May and they were identical even though the profiles were filled out completely different. Is this normal? All sample sizes… First impression with Birchbox not so great.

Birchbox rarely sends full or deluxe size. Tiny sample size is normal for Birchbox. I have heard women who have multiple accounts say that occasionally they do get the exact same samples in all their boxes.

AFAIK, Birchbox only sends out sample sizes.
I’ve never gotten two fully identical boxes, but given the large number of boxes they send, I think it has to happen from time to time. I’d imagine it’s even more likely with end-of-the-month boxes if their stock of certain items is depleted.
I got 3 May boxes, two of them were completely different, the last one had 2 items that I’d gotten in one of the others. In June I’m getting a lot of repetition, but there weren’t identical boxes.

Hey, I went ahead and added an account because of the $1 box too and they sent me the cupcakes and cashmere box. Is that the on you received Amanda? There are a lot less variation s of that box, so at the end of the month, I’m sure their were even less variations. Hope this helps

I love the hair kit but I have really thick long hair past my butt. There’s no way those thin ties will work in my hair.

I just checked what I’m getting in the 3 Birchboxes that I subscribed for $1. It seems it’s hair-accessory month because they all have one (or more?) of the ones pictured above. One has the pony tail holder and the other two those hair clips.
Interestingly, I’m getting NO makeup in any of my boxes. They all have a perfume, a sunscreen and a hair accessory. Two have BB creams, two have skin products and one has a hair product. Hey, they were $1 each, I can’t complain!

I can’t tell what I am getting in mine yet (I do know about the cheat but it is not working on either of my accounts). I hope I’m not getting hair ties. I know some people love them but they just do not stay in my hair.

I got one of the ties in a mystery pack last week. Like all hair bands made like it, this one wasn’t strong/big enough to wrap around my hair twice to hold it in place. I also have waist length hair that’s pretty thick. I guess this is one of the trade offs. Much like the misery that is blowdrying, lol. It’s a shame since the ties are always such fun colors and designs.
