GlossyBox Subscriptions on Sale at RueLaLa!

Bummer, I just decided to take advantage of this offer – not available outside US.

I used the brow pencil coupon earlier this month and got my box today. I got the pencil, Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, a small bottle of nude colored nail polish, a nice blush brush, some vitamin C cream (did not like) and an aloe gel (did not try yet, looks interesting). Not terrible.

I keep getting denied at checkout with the following error message: The payment is REFUSED. Detailed Reason: Couldn’t parse expiry month.
What’s up with that? I used the code, did NOT enter Credit Card info, put in the mailing/billing addresses (It wouldn’t let me skip that part even though I entered those at Rue). So what’s the problem? 🙁

By the way CANCELLATION DATE is 14th (not 15th) and you don’t have to wait for your box to ship for cancellation. Please read the FAQ before ordering to know how certain box works.
I have done this a few times now without a mishap. I checked the MSA (which is usually posted at 1st or 2nd of the month) for the spoiler, if I like it, I order it with the code asap (to avoid classic box), then cancel it within few days.
If you only want ONE box, you have to order and cancel the box BEFORE 14th, just to be safe.

I bought the 6 month sub last time off Rue La La and didn’t have to enter any credit card info. I’m planning on buying this offer now and resubbing with it in September when the first one runs out.

I actually like most of the Glossybox products, but HATE their customer service. I did the rue la la 1 month voucher after not renewing my yearly sub with them. I redeemed the voucher on 5/22 for the May box and cancelled right after redeeming the voucher, but they auto renewed a monthly subscription at full price for June even though I had a cancellation email dated 5/22. I sent requests through email and facebook and finally got a response through facebook message that according to their terms you must cancel by the 15th of the PRIOR month (which means i would have had to cancel on 5/15 before redeeming my voucher on 5/22 in order to not receive and be billed for the June box ?!?)

So to cancel, I have to call customer service? Can I cancel in an email?

I’ve already sent an email for the missing item and empty jar but I think I’ll just cut my losses, seeing how I doubt they will replace my items, before I’m charged for another dreaded disappointment. Boxy charm is way better!

I did the Rue Lala deal the last time they offered it. It took about 6 weeks to get my first box. I contacted customer service multiple times. It usually took 48 hours for a response. Getting that box going was pretty frustrating.

I just received my third box, and I HATED it. The only thing I will use is a mascara sample from too faced. Other than that……nothing. This month felt like a non-curated hodge podge rip off.

I signed up the last time they had this deal, after reading all the good reviews for it I was so excited to receive my first box. I love beauty products and subscribe to almost all of them. This box has really disappointed me since I got it in April, most of the samples are tiny, most of it’s skincare maybe a little hair care sometimes. Since I signed up I’ve gotten maybe 4 beauty products if that. I tried canceling in April so I wouldn’t get May but still got it. I getting this months for the mascara mainly. All in all so far I would recommend Beauty Fix or Boxycharm instead, it’s around the same price. If your looking for more beauty products, and Ipsyof course which less than half the price and you get so much. Also beauty Fix is amazing they really surprise me how many full sizes and samples they send each month! You can sign up around the 5th of each month for only $24.95 or if you just want one it’s $34.95. Also no you aren’t charged the shipping fee on Rue lala, I don’t find this that good of a deal anyway. Just last month they had a coupon which made your first box only $15. Sorry for the rambling! Just trying to help!:)

You can not get just 1 month, they require you cancel prior to even subscribing, which is impossible. They sent me the 2nd box 15 days after I received the first.

You don’t get charge the $9.95 from Rue La La! They only charge that for an unlimited shipping for the month coming from them. A voucher is sent to you via email. There for they aren’t shipping you anything. Glossybox is the ones doing the shipping and they don’t charge shipping. I hope that makes sense to you now. I signed up last time they offered this deal because, I it was a great deal. You get $6 off the original price each month, roughly. $95 for 6-months thou really doesn’t make any sence, when the 1-month subscription is $15.

I bought the 1 month at the end of March. I waited to redeem until April 1st because I wanted April box. I went ahead and canceled a couple days later, before they shipped. If you don’t cancel before the 15th they will bill you and refuse to cancel. I do like the products I get in Glossybox. However, there customer service is terrible…non-responsive and rude if you do get a response. My bad experiences were from early in 2015, not in April (I think because I canceled early & took a screen shot of cancelation confirmation in case I needed it later..lol)

Very Disappointed – I had the same issue …no It Brow Pencil (one of the reasons I wanted to sign up) in my bag. I sent them a note, no response for a few days now. Wow, wasn’t expecting such a bad experience right off the bat. While I liked what was in my box (for the most part), I was surprised that everything pretty much was sample size. I got a lot more value out of my Ipsy box truthfully for half the price.

I raved about this box to my mom after reading all the reviews and got it for her as well – very disappointing. Not sure what other box I’ll get now to get good quality full size beauty products…maybe Beauty Fix?

I bought this the last time they had the deal. Watch out. I only wanted to test the box and get one month. I ordered it on April 2nd, they didn’t ship until the early May and I cancelled immediately after I received it, but under their rules, I didn’t cancel in time and they charged me an additional month anyways.
When I contacted CS, I pointed out that I didn’t receive it until the next month and cancelled immediately after getting the box and that it was confusing which box was for which month. They don’t care.
What’s funny is I received the May month box in mid-May.

So disappointed in Glossy Box. I signed up for my first June box with a coupon code to get a free IT Cosmetic with first box and they never sent it AND my little jar of Aloe Source was completely empty!

I emailed but I’m guessing won’t get a response??? I doubt I will be getting a second month.

If there $9.95 shipping fee than I don’t get why it’s a steal. Glossybox really needed to think this through.

I’ve been so disappointed with Glossybox. I only just signed up recently, I was so excited to get it, thinking it would be full of fullsize and I got a bunch of sample stuff mostly – and a couple of them you really can’t even call deluxe sample size. I think this box has really gone down. The sale is good, but I just cancelled so even this sale won’t draw me back in. June will be my last 🙁

Does Rue La La charge their $9.95 shipping fee on this deal? It states on their site that you will be charged this amount for shipping, but wondering if this applies since they are only emailing a voucher?

What exactly is an “introductory beauty box”? I want the July box, not the June box. Not sure when I should sign up.

Last time I did this exact same deal, they didn’t ship for 3 weeks and not until after I sent a nastygram to customer service.

Why in the world is it cheaper to order one month than 6 months per month? $15 for one month, or $15.83 per month for 6 month? That doesn’t make much sense.
