My box came early. My product was a good match as it addresses one of my top concerns, minus it contains parabens. I think they could try a little harder to accomodate people who can’t use parabens. There ARE products out there that don’t have them and address my concerns.

Anyway, big disappointment on the “bonus” product. It’s the Phyto hair relaxer SAMPLE. Not a bonus product and not a match for me. If this is what they think a bonus product is…a non-matching sample…then I call false advertising. Has anyone asked them about this yet?

There is a part of your profile that you can opt out of a lot of this ‘unnatural stuff’. Check it out and change your profile. I’ve had good luck with it.

I Emailed Beauty DNA yesterday and asked them why they would match me with the Hydroxatone, an infomercial brand. I also asked if signing up at a “reduced rate” put me into a different category. I definitely mentioned that I frequent MSA and therefore see the feedback posted by many of their subscribers. I received this response within 4 hours of my Email which is pretty good for any customer service.

“Dear Claudia,

Thank you very much for your feedback regarding the Hydroxatone – AM/PM Anti-Wrinkle Complex. We do hope that after you use the product, you will feel that it was a good match for you.

Please know that the process we use for matching product to our subscribers, does not take into consideration if they were a subscriber from our website or joined through a promotion.
Our algorithm only analyzes your Beauty profile and previous products- it does not know anything else about a subscriber when making product matches.

I also want to make you aware that if this product is available The Bonus Product is not a product match. It is a bonus we are adding to each Rue La La promotional subscriber’s box at our fulfillment center and the product has nothing to do with the match process.

We hope that upon receiving your next match you will email us again and share your thoughts.
Should you decide that to wish to purchase this product, on your Meet Your Match booklet, on the bottom right hand side you will see you can purchase this product at Kohl’s. With each product match you will receive a booklet that will provide information about the product, how to use and where to purchase it

Thank you for joining BeautyDNA and we look forward to hearing from you often.
We value your feedback and we hope the next match exceeds your expectations.

All the best,

The BeautyDNA Team

All the bonus products they showed in the pictures for the offer were samples, including the Jurlique sample shown in the picture in the post. I don’t think that part is deceptive at all.

What I meant was works on a few of the top priorities I had put down when they have you choose your top five. I chose antiaging, fine lines and dry skin. Not sure if that is exactly how they were worded but that’s the main idea. I haven’t used it yet. 🙂

I also got Hydroxatone. I haven’t seen any infomercials or anything on it to know why it’s bad haha. I am not disappointed because it definitely works on my top concerns. I also got a hair balm, which also fits with a concern of mine. I am happy with the match, definitely valued over the cost and things I wouldn’t necessarily have tried otherwise.

Shay: “Definitely works on my top concerns”

So are you saying the hydroxatone works miracles super fast since you just got it? Or that it claims to work for areas that you are concerned with?

Just curious if I should pull mine from storage.

Candes

My first box arrived and I got Hydroxatone. And my bonus product was a sample of Phyto hair relaxer? Huh?

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

What’s wrong with Hydroxatone?

Are you disappointed because the products aren’t a good match or because the bonus was just a sample. My box is on the way, but won’t arrive til end of week.

Is the Phyto relax a sample sample vs. a bonus product? Bonus products for them are actual full size products so that is what I am expecting.

Reply ButtonReply

Candes

I was disappointed because:

– I got an infomercial product.

– I also put that I didn’t want hair products. But the only thing I did list under hair preferences later in the survey was a VOLUMIZER.

-And it looks like the bonus products for this deal will be samples. Well at least mine was.

Claudia

Me too, exactly. I wonder if it’s because we redeemed for the “special” price!

Reply ButtonReply

Ragan

We’ll see. Although I redeemed mine quickly, since they switched to SmartPost shipping (when I had them before they used UPS), I won’t be getting my box until Thursday. I’ll be sure to post here — I was getting really nice stuff before.

Em

Isn’t Hydroxatone the stuff they have all those infomercials for? Yikes. Pretty concerned now for when I get around to redeeming my voucher. Do you think the products you received are way off base from your profile?

Reply ButtonReply

Candes

Technically the infomercial product was not off base, just tacky.

And like I mentioned in another post here a minute ago, the sample hair product is the opposite of what I put in my survey. Here is what I put:

-No hair products
– Later under preferences, I put do not like for all hair stuff, but put like for a volumizer.

Volumizer was the only think I put under hair products, and I got a relaxer.

I suspect we will all be getting the same bonus product, aka sample.

This reminds me of the face cleaner I got a while back from them. I said that I have very very dry aging skin and got one for oily skin.

Thank you so much Liz for posting this! I’m so excited to get it! I bought the 4 month one after reading your reviews and seeing all the great products. Even at $25 / month, it was a great deal, but 4 months for $59 – no way I could pass up trying this out.
I had to reach out to customer service for help when setting up my account and they were very quick to respond and helpful which is a great bonus too!

I enjoyed my Beauty DNA sub greatly last year. This is a great price. I hope everyone enjoys it.

Reply ButtonReply

bunnygirlbrem

Interesting…You can get 2 2-month subs for less than 1 4-month sub…

Reply ButtonReply

Candes

But it is 1 offer per person.

Reply ButtonReply

bunnygirlbrem

Yeah, I just meant that the 4-month subscription should be only $58, if not less…not $59.

Em

Can someone confirm that the June 17 through September 17, 2015 validity dates are window of time we have to redeem the voucher? I’d like to redeem it in September since that’s my birthday month, and receive BeautyDNA packages for 4 months thereafter (until December). I only ask because the June-September window encloses 4 months so I’m a little confused.

Reply ButtonReply

Ake

I contacted customer service and they confirmed that it just needs to be redeemed by September 17, not completely fulfilled.

Amie

This is too good of a deal; I just got a second subscription. So far they’ve matched me with a holy grail product every month but one.

Reply ButtonReply

Em

As I wrote down below, it appears that the offers are gone? But I still had a 4-month subscription in my cart so I went ahead and checked out and the payment was accepted. I hope it really did go through and they don’t cancel it!

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

me too! after I read your comments, I hurried up and added the 4 month to my cart and checked out… everything went through so I hope I got it!

Reply ButtonReply

Em

Never miiiiiind. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

Is there a limited amount of these? or is this offer good for another 6 days like it says on the countdown?
I think I really want to get it, just didn’t know if I needed to now, or if I’d have a few days to decide for sure?…

Reply ButtonReply

Em

It looks like the 4-month subscriptions are gone. I selected it and got this alert: “Sorry, the quantity you have requested exceeds our available inventory. Please select another amount.” 2-month is still an option, it seems.

Reply ButtonReply

Em

Never mind, the 2-month was available when I posted this comment 30 seconds ago, but now I’m receiving the same alert for that option as well. Disappointed!

Shay

So excited! Getting a second subscription for 4 months. I highly recommend this one if you’re on the fence. I’ve gotten great matches and higher value items than I expected.

Reply ButtonReply

Saltt

I already subscribe which I’m paying 25 a month. How can I apply for this rue lala promo? Do I need to cancel my monthly subscription?

Thank you for the help

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Yep, I bit the bullet. Can’t help myself. This has been such a spend month for me. EcoSalon box, Bonus Goodebox, plus 3 new subs. Now this. I did try Beauty DNA in a past and cancelled after a few months cause I wasn’t getting good matches, but this tipped me in the direction of trying again…and I even went for the 4 month one. BeautyDNA, please don’t disappoint.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

So I purchased it – now how do I sign up with Beauty DNA using the credit? Will they send me a coupon code? I got a receipt for my purchase but don’t see any instructions.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

It can take up to a few days to receive certificates from Rue La La, based on my past experience.

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

It took about 30 minutes to get the coupon email from Rue La La. They’ll send you a link with a confirmation code to use to sign up

Reply ButtonReply

Cindy

This is the sub I look forward to the most each month. I am now going to get an extra box for two months……..despite me trying to be on a no buy! I actually got this in an email and came over here to see if had posted yet or if I should email Liz. Fantastic deal.

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

For anyone wondering, beauty DNA does not require a credit card for this deal! 😀 Fast and easy!

Reply ButtonReply

Cindy

Hmmm….I am creating a new account and it’s asking for a cc. What did you do differently?

Reply ButtonReply

Cindy

NM….I was not following the provided link but, rather, just went to the BeautyDNA site. Sorry for the confusion.

Liz Cadman

Thanks so much for letting us know – that makes this deal even better!!

Reply ButtonReply

Claudia

I hear you Ragan! Buuut, everything sells out so fast once it hits MSA. Liz Cadman, your site has to be a goldmine for these various boxes! I believe without MSA, there’s no way things would sell out at the rate they do simply because no one would know that they’re available. At this point, I definitely own way too many skin care products!

Nice items on Rue La La though. Is this site part of MSA?

Ragan

This post is so not what I needed. I am trying *not* to spend money right now. I really liked this sub when I had it, though…

Jennifer

PREACH!! I am wavering now…
