I ordered two of the 10 and also got the 4 free minis. Out of the 20 in the grab bag six were duplicates. Alot of then not colors I would wear but gifts work. Some of the colors were from 2013. Not worth my money even though that was the best price I’ve seen

I only got a couple of duds (for me): dark oxblood red (Coco), the Valentine’s glitter (Hartleigh), a yellow shimmer (Nessa) and mustard yellow (Alma).

The rest are greens, blues, and oranges that I will use. My only pink/red shade is Madison, which I like.

I ordered the mystery five pack and was actually pretty pleased with it. I was just hoping I would like one or two, but I think three of them will be really nice. I got Francis (a celery green–not my thing) and the Valentine’s Day glitter, Hartleigh, both of which I doubt I’ll ever wear. But I also got Cody (a light orange), Marion (a teal with silver shimmer), and Denver ( a mint green), which I really like. I’ve never tried Julep before, so I’m excited to try them out! Plus this gets me away from the same old pinks and taupes that I usually gravitate towards

I’d rock Francis, but I didn’t get that one.

Grab bag: Denver, Ilsa, Boris & Nicole, Fiore, Sawyer, Faye, Sharna, Vera, Jennifer and (of course) Hartleigh.

Faye is the only one that I would never choose, as I don’t care for the green undertone to the gold. I looked for pictures of manicures with it, and was surprised at how nice it looks, so maybe I’ll like it. Boris & Nicole looks terrible in the bottle, but is very pretty on my nail.

My minis are Lena (love), Cameron, Phoebe and Princess Grace. The latter three are all okay.

I was very surprised I didn’t get a bunch of boring pinks.

I too received Denver, Francis, Hartleigh, Cody and Marion. I’m happy with them, with Hartleigh being my only double. I love the free minis as well: Lena, Princess Grace, Phoebe, and Jane.

Boy oh boy was this a mistake!!! I got 2 of the 10 piece grab bags so I could get the 4 free minis. The minis are ok colors, but of the 20 full size nail polishes I received, there is 1 color that I would actually wear, and I already have it….These are the most discusting nail polish colors I have ever seen. I am blown away that these colors were ever created in the first place. I just paid $40 for 4 not that terrible mini polishes and 20 polishes that I would be too embarrassed to even give away, not to mention that most of them look like they are years old. Thanks a lot Julep for passing your trash off to me….

So I did the 5 for $10 mystery polish. Oof, got exactly what I was scared of. lol Like dark chocolate milkshake color, bright goldish 60’s style shimmer yellow, light olive green, old dark blood red and Hartleigh with the confetti hearts in it. I don’t know that they could’ve picked worse for me really. lol I’d already previously saw Hartleigh online and rolled my eyes at the glitter hearts. I tried to looks these up on the site to see what they’re like on nails, but apparently they’re so old they don’t exist anymore. But I’m a resourceful sucker, I’ll find a home for these colors or just give them away for free…or maybe I could try the metamorphic top coats over them to see if they get pretty. Well, $10 lesson learned not to buy mystery polish grab bags! 🙂

I just got my order! The four minis they picked for me were just okay, but I was very happy with the 10-count grab bag. I’ve been wanting “Denver”, and I lucked out to have it included! There was a lot of variety in color and finish. One was very similar to another color I have, but that’s okay.

I was happy with my 10 count grab bag too. Two of the colors I received I’ve been wanting to buy. There were a few I wouldn’t wear but at this price it was well worth it.

I couldn’t pass this up!!! Thinking christmas 😉 Hoping the colors are good and not all the same. This is such as amazing deal

Did I seriously just get 25 nail polishes for $40? I cant go to Walmart and get the cheapest drugstore brand for that much. Here’s to hoping they are not all duplicates or hideous colors!

Just ordered the two mystery grab bags =$30, Plie Wand in the add-ons = $12.99 and added the Savvy Gift = free. So for $42.99 I am getting 19 nail polishes and the Plie Wand.

I’m not a Maven but have been purchasing the mystery boxes for the past few months and I must say this is the BEST deal I’ve ever seen on Julep.

Thanks Julep!

I’ve never gotten one of their mystery/surprise bags- does anyone know if they’re all different colors in the bags? For example, if I get 2 of the 10 polish grab bags, will I be getting 20 different colors or 10 doubles? Thanks!!

Alright, I heard back from CS and they said they cannot guarantee there will be no dupes if you bought multiple mystery grab bags. She said the grab bags are filled from a selection of ‘set aside’ polishes so there is a possibility you will receive more than one of the same polish. But I have no idea if you’ll get 10 of the same polishes twice, or maybe one or two twice.

I just decided not to worry about it too much, I have lots of friends and family who will be tickled to get a bottle of polish just because, or I may save them as gifts for their birthdays or Christmas 🙂

I came here to ask this too. I guess I’m just gonna buy them and find out. Luckily at $2 per pop I can afford to give them as gifts!

The code did not work for me. I think I will hold off purchasing for now.

Never mind I figured it out 🙂

I love Julep but passed on this one, I’m too picky about my colors/finishes. Kind of afraid half the mystery bag will be mustard yellow, burnt umbra and pine green colors that no one else wanted/bought.

OMG – I just got mine on Saturday and I got all those hideous colors! No joke – I got a Trina Turk mustardy yellow from 2012, Francis (puke green), a pale yellow, a burnt orange color and the Valentines sparkly color (Hartleigh I think). I called and complained because they should not be sending colors that are 4 years old and they ended up refunding my $10 for the purchase. It was awful. I hope others are better!

I feel your pain! Nearly the same as what I got minus 1…I got a dirty, dark blood red instead of the burnt orange. The nastiness of these is shocking. lol I’ll give customer service a whirl too since it sounds like you had some luck. Thanks for commenting!

Michelle

LOL These are the colors I hope for!

I totally agree. I just did some add ons to my regular box this month, and went with a bunch of basics like polish remover and the ta da drops, etc, because I have a ton of polish right now thanks to my love of Julep, so I’m going to skip this one and not risk getting a bunch of colors I won’t want to use.

15 mystery polish bag (one 10 bag and one 5), one sale polish of my choice, one clean slate pen add on, one $2 iphone 5 case to make it over $40, and finally the free mini polish gift! $41.99 later, this site is slowly bleeding me dry… Though 16 full size polishes, four mini polishes and a nail corrector pen for $40 is a freaking amazing deal!

Never bought Julep before but THIS is tempting…
