New Limited Edition Mother’s Day Fancy Box

Below is my letter from Fancy detailing what’s included in the large $500 box. Three of the items I loved (clutch, bracelet, stationary). Overall, box was definitely a disappointed. Packaging and presentation were non-existent, as well as value. I feel so foolish for spending my money on this box. This was my first Fancy box. It will be my last.

This is the fastest shipping ever. I appreciate that Fancy wanted me to have this in time for Mother’s Day (Sorry Lindsay). I purchased the $100 box which I do like. It’s more of the typical sub box offerings, but I do like and can use everything except for one item. I wonder what is in the $200 and $500 boxes?

I can see why Cloud had such difficulties with the glass because the box was hot glued shut.

Fancy used bubble wrap and pink, white, and yellow tissue paper for the packaging. There’s also a Happy Mother’s Day acknowledgment card with matching ribbon. I thought that the tissue paper and card were nice touches. (This is nice packaging compared to how they packaged their subs in the past) I love the necklace, candle, and notebook. I think the Tea Party Mug set will be used often once I figure it out. I’m not able to use the earrings. Now for those that wonder about the value. My final total with shipping and taxes came to $133.70 which is a little less than the Mother’s Day Oui, Please box. The value of the box is almost equal to my final total. I do love the items and am fine with that. I’m hoping the earrings will swap so I can pick up one more item that I like.

FYI regarding my Large Fancy Mother’s Day box. I received the box yesterday and the HUGE coffee table book they included in the gift box ended up smashing everything in the box (including the fragrance diffuser) so everything inside was ruined!

I don’t know why they decided to put a huge fashion coffee book inside a box with glass objects and only packaged it with a sheet of bubble wrap and 4 sheets of wrapping paper?!? The fragrance was oily so it messed up the book and other items inside the box.

When I went to open the box I ended up cutting myself from the glass shards that were loose and stuck to everything. They also did not use any packing tape, only using a hot glue gun to secure the box so pieces of broken glass fell out of the box and onto my entry way and I ended up stepping on a couple of of small pieces. Yes, I should probably rethink the no shoes in house issue and should probably hire a personal box checker.

To make a long story short, my husband packaged it and we are returning the box. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I hope everyone else’s box was better packaged and you don’t hurt yourself taking things out. I’m not bitter, just sad that this did not turn out to be the best Mother’s Day gift!

I think I was an idiot to use my Fancy credits and order this.

Guaranteed delivery of May 5th? Mine shipped today. (May 6th). It will deliver on May 12th (Mother’s Day is May 10th). I feel really bad for the people that spent a lot of money on these.

I went online this morning to order and all three sizes of boxes were still available to order. I wonder if they’ve increased their stock?

They are sold out. I was going to order one if it was still available today.

I did it! I did it! My very first Fancy purchase and by far the most expensive. I ordered the LARGE box. My Son encouraged me to do so but I suspect it was his way of saying I deserve it. What a stinker! Clever though because it was my credit card. I still come out on top because I get ten fold of his LOVE and that’s PRICELESS…..

I keep checking the website for sold out sign. My Son says I should get the $500 box. He’s so sweet, I love that he doesn’t mind spending my money to buy me things 😉

I’m sure the duty/shipping charges probably refer to Canadian customers
When I lived there unfortunately there were times I had to pay duty

Curious but quite hefty price tag for medium and large without past boxes to review and / or knowing what type of items. Is this new at these prices or does anyone have experience?

Would not even consider a box that arrives COD for duties/shipping. Very strange idea for a gift!

Shipping to Canada is $34 for any size.

Too pricey and risky, especially with no product spoilers, only brands. Otherwise I’d consider getting it for myself!

I’m guessing that the duties and taxes are for Canadian subscribers. I know sometimes a sub box will reimburse for them.

I’m intrigue and am assuming at this point that shipping in the US will be at a set point which is the way it has been with all the Fancy boxes. They always charged for shipping which in the past has been sent through Fedex. I always had to pay tax on my Nicky Hilton Fancy Box and Mystery Boxes.

I logged into my account. Shipping to PA costs:
1. Small Box $7.95 shipping, tax $7.56
2. Medium Box $7.95 shipping, tax 1$4.56
3. Large Box $7.95 shipping, tax $35.66

It looks like it will be an awesome box. It also seems like it will be a heavy box(books,paper etc.),so I think the recipient might be paying quite a bit for shipping and handling. I could be wrong though. I guess I could ship it to myself and then deliver it to Mom.

I don’t get why the recipient has to pay fees upon delivery. Weird.

I’m intrigued! But I wouldn’t want my mom to have to pay duty and taxes upon delivery.
