New GlossyBox Coupon Code

Thanks Wendy for sharing this deal with us! Use coupon code THUFRI10 to save 10% off any length GlossyBox subscription! (The email for this deal doesn't include an expiration date, so I'm not sure how long this coupon code is good for).

FYI - they are currently sold out of the April boxes, so if you subscribe between now and April 30th, your first box will be a "Classic" GlossyBox, then you'll get the regular May box, etc.

Do not get GlossyBox, or at least think twice before signing up! I bought a 3 month sub a couple months ago.
I received a shipping notice on March 11th, March 17th and April 9th. They said this is my three boxes and I’ll have to pay again or cancel. I didn’t want to get two boxes in March (only 6 days apart!). What is wrong with them? The reason I contacted them in because I’ll be in Europe in May and I wanted to see if I could skip May and get June as my third box. Well they told me that my March 11th box was a February box. What?!? I signed up February 24th and was told my subscription would start in March. They made some error and decided to put the blame on me.

Both March boxes were terrible by the way. I received April today and it was a really good box. I would have kept this sub if they didn’t try to jerk me around. I tried calling the customer service phone number multiple times and it just hangs up on you after a few minutes. I got the responses that I got by sending emails. When I told them the dates of the shipments (March 11 and 17) then I got no more responses from them.

I got an email yesterday from Thursday Friday for 50% off as part of Glossybox collab (code is glossy50).
I ordered $95 tote and a shopper for $15.50 (on sale-originally $35). Ended up paying $55.25 with free shipping over $50.

I can never have too many totes!

Anyone else buy the Rue La La voucher and notice GB still hasn’t shipped yet? When I applied the voucher it said I should have my first box within 10 days (April 1st) and they still haven’t even shipped yet. This post was a good reminder to go cancel my subscription, I find it a little ridiculous they’re selling subscriptions when they aren’t even filling the ones they already have. Maybe I’m being cranky, but every time I deal with GB, the shipping takes soooo long.

I got the RLL voucher and redeemed it on 3/31. It shipped today.

The classic box varies. It is usually based on popular items they have had in previous boxes. My classic box was in December and it had the OPI nail color and some other things I have seen pop up before like the Kryolan blush. Speaking of which, I received ANOTHER Kryolan blush in my February disaster box (should not have been a Classic box) and I don’t even like it! Also, I noticed the Kryolan blush is featured in the design of the new illustrated comic book-style box they are releasing this month so I wonder if we will all be inundated with ANOTHER Kryolan blush to help reduce their overstock of an “unpopular” product. Clearly I’m not happy with Glossybox right now and because of the way that I signed up, I have seven more months anguish and potential disappointment and regret ahead of me. I hope that they are seriously taking in to consideration all of the customer service feedback they have been receiving, particularly from direct contact (as evidenced in the comments in February and March’s reviews on MSA) as well as the comments themselves of the box reviews on MSA and other popular subscription box blogs.

This year has been a year of hit or miss for them and I hope they can get it figured out before too many customers jump ship. They have had a great reputation in the past with solid customer loyalty, but I’m afraid, after reading the comments from the past two months on MSA alone, they are in for a huge drop in subscribers. Hopefully, they revert to their previous method of distribution in which it was late, but everyone received the same thing and all were happy. There is something to be said for the old adage, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

On an aside, MSA’s policy for reviews is not to receive blogger’s boxes for the reviews that they do that aren’t paid for by MSA; however, based on the curation and values of the boxes that Liz has been receiving, it would appear that while they aren’t sending “blogger’s boxes” per say, they do appear to be handpicking the boxes that are featured on their social media sites and have the highest value to send to the bloggers. Maybe just something to think about in terms of the ethics behind what is happening with the disparity.

Stepping off my soap box now.

I agree. I have had 3 beauty subscriptions for over 6 months and ive only ever received 1 item that has been better or at least comparable in awesomeness to that sent to box reviewers.
and yes, new subscribers, keep that in mind.

Too bad it’s not for the old Glossybox, where everyone got the same box, I’d probably sign up for it. But once my subscription ends this time, I’m canceling and not going back. Their customer service lacks, this new bs stuff about box variations when they never used to is awful. Especially when you get the super low value boxes.

Thanks Liz & Wendy! Does anyone know what the ‘Classic’ box contains by chance?

I got the March classic box earlier this week — I got the Lip Bar lipstick in Crimson Wonderland (full size), Dr. Lili Fan eye serum (full size), Proganix anti-fade spray (full size), OPI Pink Outside the Glossybox (full size) and Amore Vince Camuto perfume (deluxe size). Added it up and the total value is more than $160 (the eye serum alone is $65). I was really happy with my first box, even though it took to ship.

I would be happy with that. Although I have that polish and perfume already. And the lipstick. I used my entire anti-fade spray and would be happy with another. Don’t remember on the eye serum but it sounds like something I could use. (I guess the classic box is not great if you’ve been around for awhile. Oh well.)

On Glossybox’s facebook page, they posted a picture of all the items that might come in the Classic box this month. Some of them overlap with the regular box and some are different (possibly repeats). The Julep liner, OCC Lip Tar Gloss, Marrakesh Endz, and the Estee Lauder Serum are the same as the regular box this months and then their is a rituals hand scrub, some sort of chubby Sumita liner, a Vichy cream and something I cannot identify. Classic box will have any mix of five items from all of these.

I have a classic one coming for March. Who knows when it’ll get here (been stuck in “pack” for awhile), but I’ll try to post the contents as a comment on one of the Glossybox posts here.
