What do you think of the latest Quarterly spoilers and hints? I’ll be reviewing all five of these boxes, and right now I’m most curious about what will be in the Rosario, YA, and Travel Noire boxes!

  1. So, kind of related to this… I just today had a sponsored ad/link on my facebook page for quarterly and the “only chef-curated subscription service” —

I assume they have just failed to update all their marketing endeavors since it says, “Shipping is free, you can cancel at any time with a 100% happiness guarantee.”

  2. Super excited that you will be checking out our Quarterly Box. Can’t wait to read your review! We’ve picked out some exciting items that will help you travel farther, faster, and better than you can imagine.

  3. Fathom shipped and should arrive on the 17th. I’m so curious about what’s inside.

    • I’m getting my fathom box on the 17th also!

      • me too (before the shipping increase)

  4. I really hope Rosario’s is worth it. Her last box looked so good… not sure what to expect this time.

    • Seriously- It will be my first Rosario box and I had great expectations. A ‘seed bomb’– really?! I live in a NYC apt and don’t know what I can possibly do with that.

      • Her last box was wonderful, perfect timing for stocking stuffers. You could always gift the seed bomb. I thought Rosario had parted ways with Quarterly, but alas not and the only reason I am giving Q my money is because of her curation.

  5. I’d like to see “real” spoilers, especially for the boxes shipping in March. Any hint on the $100, non-returnable Nina Garcia or Timothy Ferriss box?

    • How do you know if a box is returnable or not?

      • They used to be returnable–they had a satisfaction guarantee. They changed the policy so you can’t return it for a refund if you’re unhappy with it.

      • From March onwards, Quarterly changed their policies: all the boxes are non-returnable now.

That is why it is so annoying that they do not have any spoilers for the expensive boxes. I would have returned Nina’s last box immediately and the latest GQ box, too.

  6. So travel noire’ spoiler is a pamphlet? Wow, okay that’s disappointing. I’ll still get the box, since I’ll be getting free shipping on it, but after I receive it I will have to decide between TN and Fathom.

    • This guide will show you step-by-step how we consistently get roundtrip international flights for less than $200 (without using miles)! Our real spoiler is something much bigger. Stay tuned!

      • Zim, are you from Travel Noire? My husband travels a lot for business and we use his miles and hotel points for our own travels. I have never heard of anything like this (less than $200 for international roundtrip!). I hope it doesn’t involve opening new credit cards! I am just curious if it is something my husband and I can use. Now we have a 2 year-old we have to pay for his seat.

        • Well, flights to Mexico and Canada from nearby states for undwr $200 are not unheard of, and I suspect it’s true to the Caribbean as well – and the qualify as international flights.

          • I’m talking about longer haul flights. Just booked a $187 roundtrip flight to Johannesburg from NYC and a $199 roundtrip flight on Emirates to Mumbai, India!

        • Yep! CEO of Travel Noire here! This guide doesn’t involve credit cards at all 😉

          • Zim, thank you for the post. I cannot wait for another spoiler! In the meantime, finding the system glitch to get the cheap fare, is it something much more info than mentioned on your website? And is this box suitable for my demographic (early 40’s couple with a toddler, husband travels heavily on business)? Thanks.

        • Hi Kay! This is an entire step-by-step guide. This is the exact formula we use to consistently find those fares & it’s much, much more than you’d find on our site. You’ll find a ton of value in our box!

          • Okay, I haven’t cancelled yet but I’m skeptical after the disappointing Fathom box that I paid $100 for. I travel to Europe at least twice a year and am lookin for fun, unique stuff, not looking for the “basics” that were included in the Fathom box – a small travel bag, ear plugs, pack of cards, face wash packets. I wish I cancelled Fathom after their spoiler, so I’m hoping Travel Noire second spoiler is a good one, so that I can keep this sub! 🙂

Also I’m looking for flights right now from MIA to Barcelona and then retuning to Barcelona from Cairo. So it would be nice if I got the tips early by I know that’s not possible since I have to book my flights soon. Next time though, hopefully.

      • I wish I heard of it before the shipping increase. Otherwise i would have bought it. i won’t buy these boxes that come out practically even plus pay shipping. easier to just buy afterward on amazon with prime (except of course, this guide sounds nice). Too bad for the extra shipping charges now.

  7. We keep trying to guess the movie in Andrew Zimmern’s box! I’ve never gotten his sub before but when I saw the movie night theme, I thought it might be fun for my husband.

    • I’m going to guess Eat drink man woman

    • My guess would be The Hundred Foot Journey. =)

      • That was my initial guess but after looking closer at sambal oelek, it’s supposedly more typical in Indonesian/Malaysian dishes…

      • Everyone in my family, even my 13 year old son, adores that movie <3

  8. FYI, I looked up the quadcoper online, ’cause my husband likes that kind of thing, but it’s an extremely cheap one. It sells wholesale on AliBaba for $1-$13. It’s also really tiny.
