Powell’s Indiespensable Subscriptions are Open!

It looks like my box was sent on March 10 but there is no tracking info.
This will be my first indispensable box and I am very excited!

It seems to me that before it was labelled ‘sold out’ on the website it stated April 8 shipping date. But if you want to know give them a call and confirm that, do so. They have great customer service and will give you an answer.

No, its only hard copies. Usually they are hardcover books with specially designed slipcovers. After reading you could pass along to a fellow book lover, donate to Goodwill or local public library, etc like I do. Or sale them to recoup some of your money. Because of the special slipcovers and the fact that some of the books come signed by the author, you may be able to get a little bit more than the typical resale price of the mass produced versions on ebay or amazon.

I am working on getting a Goodreads group set up for us. I hope to have it up and running at the end of the month (I need Spring Break time to spend some time on it).

I found it this way: On the Subscription Box List page, hover over Other and click on Books for Indiespensable. I don’t think Box of Style has been added yet.

I emailed them when they sold out last time about getting on a wait list but they said they didn’t have one. You just have to keep checking the website on a regular basis and hope you catch them when they have some openings like I did. They said they have a very limited number of openings come available each time and those sell out quickly. I guess that’s why it seems to be more by word of mouth than by them advertising it because the club isn’t currently set up to take on and supply the demand of a lot of new members at once. Which is fine with me. I’d rather wait for a chance to join a quality subscription than immediately join one that’s overwhelmed by the influx new members and the quality of the box suffers as a result. I’ve seen it before, box services going down hill in a hurry because they tried to take on more than they could chew. I do hope you’re able to join next time. Since the box ships every 6 weeks, you may want to start checking for openings in mid to late April for the May shipment or keep an eye out for a notification from MSA.

Sorry, but that title (Indiespensable Subscription) has already been purchased. However, you can use the search page to look for other editions of the same title.

The website says it ships April 8th.
