organic-authority-mar

Once every 2-3 months, Organic Authority offers a one-time purchase goodie box that is usually based on the season. It's time to get my garden started, so I snapped this one right up!

Note from Liz: this box is no longer available, but sign up for the MSA daily newsletter to make sure you don't miss the next one!

Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Anna

The Box: Organic Authority Goodie Box

The Cost: Varies, but usually $129 with free shipping

The Products: Depend on the theme, but always products to support an eco-friendly, sustainable lifestyle

organic-authority-mar-letter

This is the letter they sent, thanking me for my purchase. Usually the OA Goodie Boxes have several items that require use of a gift card and separate shipping, but in this case, the only gift card included is for a free bottle of Kasandrino's Extra Virgin Olive Oil with free shipping (value $29.98 including free shipping). I was glad to see that, since I am still waiting on one of my products from their New Year Goodie Box!

Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Zabada

Zabada's Eco-Savvy Cleaning Kit - Value $100

The idea behind Zabada's cleaning system is that you can eliminate or greatly reduce the use of chemical cleaners in your home with their micro-fiber cleaning cloths. They are supposed to work with just water (or without water). These pieces are supposed to last 2-3 years, and came with a bag to put them in when you launder them. Microfiber really, really attracts everything, so I was glad to see a separate storage and laundry bag included. I really like the bamboo dish towel, it seems very heavy and sturdy!

Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Bowls

2 Double Walled Stainless Steel Bowls from Life Without Plastic - Value $21.90

These bowls are ingenious for families! I don't let my little ones eat or drink from plastic, which means we obviously have lots of broken plates and dishes. I love that the double walls means that the food will retain its temperature longer, too!

Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Chopper

Microplane's Herb and Salad Chopper + Classic "Try Me" Zester - Value $15.94

So, I immediately cut my thumb on this just while trying to get it out of the packaging. My point is, this is really, really sharp. The good news is that the blades fold away for safe storage. I am excited to try this out!
Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Coffee

Capresso's On the Go Personal Coffee Maker - Value $49.99

This is one of the main reasons I got this goodie box, and I'm so excited to try it! I've never liked the idea of coffee pods due to the excessive waste, so I never got one. This one has a removable filter! So cool!

Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Spice

Organic Cayenne Pepper Powder + Organic Cardamom Pods from Starwest Botanicals - Value $11.09

We go through a ton of cayenne at my house! I try to find organic spices for my family, but it's not always possible, so this was a welcome inclusion to this box.

organic-authority-mar-chocolate

EarthSource Organics's Righteously Raw Chocolates + 15% Off Coupon Code - Value $10.69

I was excited to see this in the box, but, well... You know how they say that raw chocolate is good for you? It tastes like it's good for you.

Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Soaps

Nourish Organicís Body Wash + Hand Soap in Almond Vanilla - Value $17.98

This smells AMAZING. It has that real almond smell, which is one of my favorites. It also lathers pretty well, too.

Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Lotion

SoignÈeís Botanical Lotion (16 oz) - Value $31.50

I have never heard of anyone taking MSM externally, but it is the signature ingredient in all of SoignÈeís skin care products. I am impressed with MSM's claims when taken internally, but so far this just feels like a nice lotion. I hope it really does repair skin damage!

Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Goji

Wild Hibiscus Flower Co.ís Wild Hibiscus Flower Concentrate - Value $10

This is a hibiscus flower and cane sugar syrup, to be used in drinks to impart sweetness, a floral fragrance, and red color. I think it's supposed to be like bitters.

Natierra's Goji Berries - Value $8.99

I haven't had the chance to try these yet, but I'm always game for an exotic superfruit.

Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Love

Natierraís Inka Salt (10 oz) - Value $8.99

I'm not sure I believe all the hype about pink salt, but it's worth a try. This salt is from the Andes instead of the traditional Himalayan variety.

Love Bean Fudgeís Sea Salt Caramel - Value $12.99

I'm not a big fan of caramel, so this one will go to my husband and kids. They love it!

Organic Authority Home and Hearth Goodie Box Review Tea

Wild Hibiscus Flower Co.ís Heart-Tee Hibiscus Tea + Heart-Tee Blu Tea - Value $12

Is it even possible to think about eco-consciousness without tea? I don't think so. These teas include dried hibiscus and dried

Is it even possible to think about eco-consciousness without tea? I don't think so. These teas include dried hibiscus and dried butterfly pea flowers.

organic-authority-mar-seeds

11 Packets of Seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company - Value $25.75

I was on the fence about this box until I saw these seeds! I love heirloom seeds! This selection includes snow peas, "wonder beans", beets, mustard greens, eggplant, cowpea, broccoli, tomato, cucumber, paper moon scabiosa flower, and purple basil. Yum!

organic-authority-mar-garden-tools

Garden Guru Lawn & Garden Toolsís 4-piece Garden Tool Set - Value $102.96

I am in love with these garden tools! They included a pruner, a trimmer, a trowel, and a garden blade. I simply cannot wait to get my garden started now! Plus they come with a life-time guarantee! Challenge accepted!

Verdict: This box is incredible! So much good stuff in here! The only thing I don't like about Organic Authority's Goodie Boxes is that they only supply them in limited quantities. I don't know why. Would it not be better to sell more? In any case, I will use almost everything in this box, and the value adds up to over $475! I wouldn't say the values are inflated - those are the actual retail prices - but for some items, I would never pay that much. But even if I added up the values of what I would pay, it would still be much more than $129. For me, it all depends on the spoilers, and in this case, almost everything in it is a huge win!

What do you think of Organic Authority?

Hi Anna,
This box sounds really interesting. Can you please tell us Zabada’s eco cleaning kit? Do you like it? Does it work like it is advertised on their website? Thank you!

E.

This box looks SO good.

I got that red Wild Hibiscus tea in a Love With Food box and loved it!

I got the last box and loved it, the only complaint is that I STILL have not received the juicer included…Organic Authority curates good boxes but they need to step up on their backend logistics!

I order a few different boxes from them before, and never have issues redeeming them. So far, a book, pasta sauces, cleaning supplies, bras, and even some pest control item. I’m sorry to hear that you have a tough time redeeming one of the them.

If you go to the fusion website, that juicer is no longer available. I disputed a partial charge of that $129, because I am so sick of it. Jill told me repeatedly that I am the only person who complained and have not received the juicer. There is another comment made in a different post and she did not get her juicer either. Now they send me an email and say I can pick a different model, but the one they offer does not even come with the pitcher. I would think twice before buying another box.

Frances

I received my juicer today…just thought I’d post an update and see if you’ve had any luck with either getting the juicer shipped or getting a partial refund. The juicer I got is different from what was advertised (comes without a pitcher), but at this point I’m just happy I got it before summer was over! lol

I had a problem with an item before as well. It took 6 months and several emails back & forth until I finally received the item. Be careful about anything that involves a gift card for an item. You could be waiting a very long time. I suggest you bother them continuously or else you may never get the item. It was like they forgot about me until I started emailing over & over. They shouldn’t promise things in a box that never get delivered.

“It tastes like it’s good for you.” I read that and literally started cracking up! 🙂

I wish I had picked this box up now! Looks amazing and I cannot wait until they have another one!

Glad you enjoyed that! Thanks!

I did, too. And I know *exactly* what you meant when you said it.

Barbie

So sad I woke up too late for this one. It looks great!

I was considering this, but I woke up later than usual on that morning and miss it. This is a great box, almost at par with the kitchen box last year. Please let me know how does the garden tools work for you, especially the trimmer and pruner. It is pretty much the only item in the box that I wouldn’t mind buying from them if it works really well.

Sue

I got this box and love it! The gardening tools spoiler caught my attention. Every year I have to buy new tools as I’d worn out or broken the prior year’s tools…but these really seem sturdy. Way better then what is available at the man’s mall.

I like the chocolate but I am a big fan of dark chocolate. But those Goji berries….they are a bit different….

Only thing I’m not sure of is the Cardamon pods.

So glad I got a box. This was a blast!

Trinity

Cardamon is really good in tea. I break open the pods & put the seeds in my tea strainer, it has a lemony fragrance.

I saw the last LE Box go on sale and missed the bus on that, but definitely signed up for this. So glad I did! The bowls have a great weight and feel to them, the chocolate . . . Like you said is well “healthy” chocolate, but you know what? Still noshed on it! Can’t wait to use the heavy duty gardening tools and all these great items around the house!
