Escape Monthly On Sale at RueLaLa

Escape Monthly subscriptions are on sale today at RueLaLa. (FYI - I recommend checking out the November review and comments of Escape Monthly before you subscribe. From what I can tell things have improved since the November box, but I still would consider this a subscribe-at-your-own-risk subscription).

You can get a one-month subscription for $29 (regularly $40)

or a three-month subscription for $97 (regularly $120)

Details:

Validity: March 11 through June 11, 2015, unless prohibited by law. Applicable taxes and shipping fees not included. Boxes are delivered midmonth. Limited to one voucher per person, one voucher per transaction.

How to redeem: Within 24 hours you will receive a voucher via email for your one- or three-month introductory subscription to Escape Monthly. Visit Escape Monthly online upon receiving your voucher and enter your confirmation code at checkout to redeem.

Please note, this is a subscription-based service and you will automatically be enrolled in a monthly subscription upon redemption. After your selected one- or three-month subscription is over, you will be charged each month at 20% off full-price rates. Subscription may be canceled at any time without incurring any additional cost. You must cancel in advance of the next shipment to avoid being charged.

This may be a stupid question, but since the voucher is redeemed through the Escape Monthly site…does that mean I can double up and add the 20% savings code on top of the voucher? $29 is more than I want to pay for an iffy box, but $23 is definitely worth the risk!

FYI, charge taxes and shipping fees are NOT included in this deal. It says in the first paragraph under “Details”.

That’s rue la la’s standard text. Escape Monthly does not charge shipping. Tax depends on your state.

No… In the past, I got vouchers on Living Social and Plum District when they had promo codes or credit, so last year I was able to get several boxes for $22-23/each.

This is one of my favorite boxes! Fun box to open. Mixture of food, bath & body and other fun stuff. Great customer service!

I received the dreadful Puerto Rico box last fall. I do hope the boxes have improved since then, but buyer beware.

I’ve had a good experience with their customer service. I missed the cut off for the Portland box and when I realized that she was nice enough to make up a box with some of the extras. It wasn’t the exact Portland box, but almost everything in it was from there and it had the guide book. The fact that she went out of her way to do something like that made me want to give this sub another chance. I think if they took the “luxury” bit off the description and box itself it would help with expectations.

I only got one box which was December European Xmas box that I liked. It was heavy on food items. I felt majority of boxes from 2014 was failing both in value and quality. I just googled Jan/Feb 2015 boxes and they seem to be doing much better. I am more interested in international destinations than domestic ones, so I didn’t continue, but curious to see their future boxes.

Will we get the Australia box with this subscription?

I got the December European Christmas box and it was awesome.

I’m thinking about this but I seriously have so many subs right now.

I subscribe to this box as a gift for my mom, and she loves it! (Has received the Jan/Feb 2015 boxes so far…Portland & Nashville, I believe.)

Probably also depends on how you “value” the box. Ie, if getting it as a gift without a price point, it’s probably wonderful and not very disappointing if you don’t love everything in it.

No experience with EM prior to 2015.

I stopped after the London/October box, but wished I’d gotten the December/Europe box. March is Australia so my interest is piqued.

I’m kind of interested in signing up, I signed up for the mini box last fall, but it was fairly bad.
