We have a 20% off GlossyBox coupon code thanks to Oprah! 🙂 Use coupon code OPRAH to save 20% off an annual GlossyBox subscription - this brings the cost down to less than $15 a box.
UPDATE - this code is expired.
Lately GlossyBox has only been offering discounts off the first month of a subscription, so this is one of the best deals I've seen in a long time.
(The email for this offer didn't include an expiration date, so I'm not sure how long this offer will be available).
FYI - if you sign up today your first box will be the February box. (And judging by the comments on the February GlossyBox review, not everyone is getting the same items in their boxes).

I sent them an email letting them know I had been led to believe the expiration date was March 3, and would appreciate if they honored that expiration date. They gave me a one-time use promo code (in the same amount) that expires tonight and I was able to subscribe with the discount.

I got the same thing Karen! Happy endings for all. 🙂 I’m glad my first run-in with customer service went excellent!

What a bummer it expired. I was looking forward to a 6 month sub and was waiting to get March as the first box 🙁

I did just get a code to save 15% off your first month if this helps: MSAMARCH15

Just used this coupon code-thank you! 15% is better than nothing! Brings it down to $17.85 🙂
Cindy
Did the subscription options change? I no longer see a three month option on their site. Also, there no longer is a discount for the six month package.

I believe this deal expired today. 🙁

Why is it expired? It states quite clearly that it is valid until March 3rd. I was waiting until March because I did not want the Feb. box.
Cindy
OH! I thought it was said in another thread that the deal expired on the 2nd or 3rd. But indeed I just tried it and it doesn’t work.
Guess I will not be re-subscribing right now. Thanks.

This will bring the price down to about the same amount as Sample Society. Both boxes have five items that are mostly deluxe-sized. Both seem to lean towards skincare items. If you were trying to choose between these options, which would you take and why?

Glossybox 100%. Glossybox normally has more full sized items that I can’t find in stores. Sample Society, on the other hand, has items that I could go to the normal drugstore to buy. I prefer trying things I wouldn’t normally have access to. I also feel like Glossybox puts more effort into their packaging than Sample Society.

Glossybox without any doubt. Much better than Sample Society

I would choose Glossybox for sure. They send way more full size items. I was a Sample Society subscriber briefly and all of the boxes I got were HUGELY disappointing.

My February box is in limbo… no movement for eight days. It was supposed to get here 2/18. Is anyone else experiencing this? I’m in VA. 🙁
I’d probably go for this if not for the sudden variation in boxes. I’m going to be pretty sad if I don’t get that lip tintie!

Thx. I grab an annual sub and it said it starts with February . BBBBUUUTTT, on the site it says February is sold out. I contacted and they said “Apologies that we are sold out of the February edition. In its place, we will be shipping the February edition of the Classic Box, which is comprised of the top 5 samples from our previous boxes. This edition applies only to those who subscribe today through the end of the month.

Thanks for sharing the code! My GB sub is up so now is the perfect time! I know I was one that received the Classic box last sub and after I emailed them they said they’d send out 2 replacement items as I received items I received before. I have always had a good experience with GB (I know not all have!) so for less than $15 a month this is a great deal! I will sign up March 1st though because I don’t want another Feb box!

According to the Glossybox website, the February box is sold out and if you order before the 28th you will get the “Classic Box.” So glad we can wait until March to subscribe with this code!

How do you apply your gloss dots to this if you don’t have an active subscription?

You can’t. (I canceled and I have over 1000 Glossydots. I think I will resubscribe in April on a monthly sub and use them then.)
I asked the same question about continuing my sub after it ends in 5/2015. The glossybox replies back to me with this:
Thanks for writing in!
The OPRAH code for 20% off is only valid until March 3. Unfortunately, we do not have the capability to combine subscriptions. If you create a new plan today, it will overlap with your current plan and ship you duplicate boxes.
I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Do stay tuned for future deals and promotions, as we have new codes each month!
But duplicate boxes are not bad as I can save them for gifts

yes, I have done it too. when there is a promo code I would subscribe to additional 3 month and get duplicate boxes those 3 months

Cindy
Thank you for that information. I will at least hold off until March 1 to use the code as I do not want a duplicate February box.

If I get a six month sub, will I automatically be renewed month to month when the six months is over?
Reply
Oksana
it will be automatically renewed to the same 6-month not month to month. after a year of 12-month they auto-renew to 12-month. so you have to cancel on time before 6 month expires or you will be charged a full price on 6-months sub
Reply
Liz Cadman
Yes I believe they automatically renew unless you cancel beforehand.

How difficult is to cancel this subscription? I had a bad experience once and do not want it to happen again.
Cindy
My subscription ends with the February box. Had we not had this large disparity in value this month coupled with the (I believe false) claim that boxes are sent randomly, I would jump on this in an instant.
I love the lip balm/butter but there is no guarantee I would receive it if I subbed now and got another box. Also no guarantee I wouldn’t get the worst ‘repeat’ box.
Not sure if I will subscribe now.

I’ve already got a 3 month subscription, I’m trying to find a way to add a 12 month sub to that with the coupon, and can’t. Does anyone know is there is a way to use this coupon if you are a current subscriber?
Reply
Sneaky Burrito
You can’t unless you want to double up on a couple of months.

I just emailed customer service with the same question and they got back to me right away. They made my account inactive then you just reactivate choosing the plan you want and are able to enter the coupon code.

I tried it on the six month and three month as well. It worked on all of them! I’ve been wanting to try Glossybox out, so I will definitely be taking advantage of this deal!

This code worked for me on a 6 month subscription as well, if someone is not quite willing to splurge on a whole year!
