Reminder: Golden Tote Mystery Tote in Size S On Sale Today!

Got my tote Monday. Kind of disappointing- even though everything was a size s, there was a huge variation in fit. I got a cute Puella swing top- so big it made me look like a hippo. My teenaged daughter tried it on too, with the same result. There was a cute green and white tank top, that was appropriate for my daughter (but not me- very strappy low back). Then, I got an adorable THML quilted black zippered pocket dress. Totally my style and totally didn’t fit- it was way too slim! The only keeper (for me) is a very cute peasant top (can’t get to my closet to look at brand). Both the dress and Puella are up for swap. The value is there, and I would have paid $60 for the top I’m keeping and the tank top in a store, but I am disappointed in the curation of the bags. I know they weren’t looking at individual profiles, but there is no way that top and that dress would have fit the same person. It looks like the dress always has run a size small- so I think they should have put M dresses in with the size small bag. Also, they said there was a Puella item created just for the bag- was that the swing top?

Check the boutique items, and they typically give the model’s stats and size she’s wearing, and then maybe some additional measurements of the piece (ie. arm length for long sleeves). They may also give sizing info, and suggest you size up/down accordingly. I typically prefer a medium everywhere else and find that size fits me fine.

$7.95 for regular UPS. They do offer expidited, but the time is still based on when they put your tote together. They will combine shipping. Mystery totes are a bit different in that they will only combine two. I think it might be to discourage people from getting a ton per order (I guess they sold out ridiculously fast last year)

If you are a medium with Anthropologie, you should be good with a medium. They usually have model stats and ok sizing info to help you decide. I get the occasional item that runs small, but you can note in your comments to have them size up if it runs smaller.

I’d suggest going with medium. For reference I’m often a 4/6 for tops and I usually go with medium tops. They’re also easier to trade, normally, which would be an asset for the mystery bag.

The larger sizes haven’t launched yet – only xs and s. Check back over the next couple of days to see larger sizes.
