I think the the brand of the sea salt spray is Nuance by Salma Hayek. They mentioned in sneak peek video that it’s from a celebrity and she has a sea salt spray out with a bottle that looks like they one they are displaying. We’ll see…that’s the sample choice I selected.

I’m so confused. I haven’t received any email to pick anything from and when I look at my account online all it shows is the Jan stuff
Am I missing something?

Lynn

I haven’t either :/ I don’t know why, though, I thought they said we’d choose by now…

I have 4 bb accounts so I chose one of each. Hope the rest of my items are great. Kinda tired of perfume samples. Can’t wait to see this mystery secret brand for the salt spray!

I picked the mystery sea salt spray – they made me curious 🙂

HELP!! Would someone please explain how BB works………I’m so confused. I received the Jan box and the limited edition box that I ordered separately. So what happens in February……I pick a box? (if so how?) or they just automatically send me a box and bill to the cc on file? The BB website doesn’t seem to explain this at all

Thanks!

Well, it depends. In the next few days you’ll get an e-mail with a link to the Sample Choice page, where you can either choose the above curated “guest editor” box or one of the three above samples. If you choose the curated box, you’ll get exactly the five items Liz has listed. If you choose one of the three samples listed in this post, you’ll get that plus four random samples, based on your beauty profile. If you choose nothing, you get five random samples based on your beauty profile. When I was on the monthly plan I got billed the first of the month. I usually get my box around the 10th, give or take a few days.

I watched the sample choice reveal video today. 3 different outfits each! I’m excited that we are going to receive a Rent the Runway credit. My husband and I were invited to a Gala and the first thing that went to my mind is what to wear. I have a dress that will work for the event, but it might be fun to rent a dress.

I’ll be choosing the curated box, and I’m kind of excited about it this month, unlike last month. I read the descriptions of each product, and it said that the dry shampoo does not leave residue. I have some Not Soap, Radio body wash in a different scent, and I’m not crazy about it, but this one said it blackberry vanilla – that sounds good to me!

Firstly, I LOVE BB. I’m thinking the make-up remover this time around. I get two boxes and was going to do the curated box on one and the make-up remover on the other but I really only want two things from the RTR box: the eyeliner and the scrub. I’ll roll the dice instead. C’mon Birchbox!

I’ve read that dry shampoo can clog your hair follicles and lead to hair fall-out. That sounds gross to me. Also, because I have darker hair, the standard “white” dry shampoo color is super obvious on me (and not at all obvious on my blonde friend). :: sigh ::

I think I will let them choose for me this time. I would go with curated box, but this dry shampoo clogs, many times already after one use, so I will pass on it…

I don’t think I will pick anything. The email will come while I am at the conference and it may or may not download into the phone app.

I think I’m going to get the guest editor box on my first account and the eye make up remover on my second account. I was able to reserve the Gorjana ‘V’ necklace too, super excited about that. I like that jewelry line a lot 🙂

Natasha

Guess I have to make a choice this month on samples (allergic to sea salt). Looks like this month will be a good box.

Reply ButtonReply

Brooke

Like last month, none really float my boat. I have eleventy seven mascaras, don’t use make up remover, and have a few different ‘sea salt’ hair texturizers from boxes. Curated box: don’t use dry shampoo, or body wash, already have 2 of the sumitas.

It’s cool… I have been preferring the months I don’t make a pick. And the boxes get there faster.

I wish the Runway-curated box would be as exciting as it sounds, but those product really don’t strike up any type of connection – none of them are as luxurious as what could be rented.

I’ll probably go for the sea salt spray, too! Really into facial sprays lately.

Brooke

I think the sea salt spray is for your hair…?

Reply ButtonReply

Jennie

Yeah… I don’t think that sea salt would feel very good on your face. More super dry and crusty feeling than refreshing.

Isobel

I’ve had a sea salt spray that looks very like that bottle (exactly like it actually) from sephora- that was a living proof sea salt texturizer!

I like seeing The Balm item, hoping they start sending more makeup lines as such!-I do need some eye makeup remover,so maybe the Marcelle Remover?!

Reply ButtonReply

Paige

Wow, this is the first time since they have been doing the sample picks and/or guest boxes that none of the options appeal to me…oh well!

Reply ButtonReply

hashtagfablife

The sample choices seem kind of boring but I would love that guest box! I hope I can get it before they run out!

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

I reserved an upgrade the other day, but these sample choices don’t appeal to me. I don’t need anymore mascara or mascara remover. Why can’t they ever send toners or foundations, bb creams or something different? I might just pick a sample and let them pick the rest of the box. I’ve gotten a curated box the last few months.

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

I think I’m going with the mascara or the makeup remover – both things that I go through regularly.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

Hmm, I think I may go for the curated box. Only sample choice I would be interested in is the sea salt spray, but apparently its an item for creating beach waves. Definitely not the season for that here in NYC!

Reply ButtonReply

nicolle

I’m probably in the minority, but I always love when I get eye makeup remover!

Reply ButtonReply

Sonnie

I will go also for the make-up remover ! I was actually looking for a good one and the full size is affordable so I’ll give it a try ! I’m afraid that the sea salt is for hair so I’ll pass on it because a already received a lot of hair care !

chillybeans

I’m with you too on the eye makeup remover, the high end ones are the best and are usually $$$$……we need something to remove all that sub box mascara LOL.

However, if the sea salt spray is Living Proof….I may be tempted. Their stuff is awesome and also $$$$.

Leilana

I’m with you! I don’t think I have actually received an eye makeup remover yet, and I subscribe to a half dozen beauty boxes! Glad to see makeup remover! I too would really love to seen foundation, especially mineral foundation or acne/oily skin foundation!

I would like to get my January box – it’s the 21st. Anyone else still not get theres?

Reply ButtonReply

Staci

I just received mine yesterday. I’m on the west coast and it takes about 10-12 to get to me every month.

The choices this month are awesome! For the first time I want everything and the curated box 😉

Alexis

I haven’t received mine either. I got an email early on. I figure because of Martin Luther King, Jr. day?
