I placed an order for an item I needed and got the cookbook. The package arrived today. I can’t wait to try out recipes. I’m going to pick one to make in the next few days. My Pick 2 are the Whish shaving cream which I never tried before and Jouer tinted sunscreen. I haven’t seen the sun in days. It’s been gray and wet for days.

I finally dumped Birchbox and have been looking forward to spending my points, but I only came up with a $35 order; my points always expire because I don’t use them. Guess I’ll hold on a bit. I’m so annoyed with them that I want to scrape every last bit of value out of my points since I’ll never do business with them again.

I sent Birchbox email after email because my sub boxes, well, suck. I’ve nipped and tucked my profile every month and even filled out the beta profile thing, but they send me stuff I hate every month, and I end up listing every single thing for swap! The worst is they’ve sent me perfume EVERY SINGLE month when my profile clearly says I don’t like perfume! Seriously, Birchbox?!?

It kills me when I see great boxes that Liz gets and others talk about, and I never get any of the items in them that I’d love! I rarely get makeup, though my profile says it’s the one thing I want in every box; what I DO get are items I’ve gotten over and over from them and ipsy. I get heavily scented body lotion in *every* box, but I can’t use that due to sensitive skin and a hatred for perfumes of any kind! How dry do they think my skin is anyway?!?

I’ve emailed and messaged them over and over, and sat on hold for eight minutes before giving up, but they clearly don’t care if they lose a customer. Just wanted to spread the word, as this is all I’ve got to get back at them 🙂

I wish I knew about this yesterday. I placed an order yesterday and would had waited until today for the book and ordered a couple extra pair of socks for my son. I love to bake.

Oh, I placed an $85 order yesterday (paid mostly with points). I used a 20% code in the promo code box, though. I suppose I could have added this instead but the amount I saved is pretty darn close to the Amazon price. So if I really want it, I can just get it from Ammy with free Prime shipping.

Still, this is the most tempting book (for me, personally) that Birchbox has offered as a GWP so far.
