GlossyBox Holiday

The Limited Edition Holiday GlossyBox is here! (Thanks Nikki for letting us know!)

The Box: Limited Edition Holiday GlossyBox (find it in the Limited Edition section)

The Cost: $40

COUPON: Get this box free when you purchase a 12-month subscription with coupon code HOLIDAY

The Products:

  • Korres Volcanic Minerals Volumizing Mascara
  • The Lip Bar Lipstick in Crimson Red
  • Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Loose Concentrate in Smote
  • NCLA Nail Lacquer in Satin Sheets, Velvet Ropes
  • Calvin Klein Reveal
  • Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Wind
  • Teadora Nourishing Lip Butter in Rainforest at Dawn
  • CARGO TexasLiner Liquid Liner

FYI - I don't think all of these products will be full size. (If they all were full size the value would be around $220, and GlossyBox is advertising this as having a value over $140).

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT FINE PRINT FROM GLOSSYBOX: "Holiday Box NOT guaranteed to arrive by December 25th" (This is listed after the sentence "Canadian addresses will incur a $5 shipping fee on the free box." so it may apply just to Canadian customers and not US customers, but I can't say for certain).

Does anyone know when we will get a shipping notification for our holiday box?

i loved last year’s holiday glossybox and went ahead and ordered this one! i have tons of red lipsticks already but this one looks divine, as does the nail polish. everything in this box hits the main parts of a make-up routine–eyes (shadow, liner, and mascara), lips (balm and lips). it also allows me to try out some essentials i would not otherwise buy because i’ve repurchased the same products for so long. lol.

Even though the box itself looks very pretty, nothing is a must have for me. I will not be ordering but am already anticipating all the posts/complaints about the fact that these boxes are not on time for Christmas giving.

I don’t have my throwback boxes yet.

I ordered one of these today, I think it’s a great box with a fantastic value!

I feel bummed for people who haven’t received their throwback boxes yet. I ordered mine right when they went on sale and received them about two weeks later. That doesn’t seem to be the norm, so I guess I got lucky. I don’t regularly sub to glossybox, but I have really liked the boxes I’ve gotten and haven’t had any problems with their CS. I think I’ve heard so much about them taking forever, so I set the bar pretty low.

I actually like this box, but wish I knew what size the perfume was.

According to GB on FB it said the perfume was the only product not full size.

the website says that 7 of the items are full sized!

I guess I’m one of the few who don’t have a problem with Glossybox.

My throwback boxes stayed they’d be shipped mid to late November, and I just received tracking info the other day. No problems.

Ive had a nail polish bust in a box, messaged them in facebook, and they sent me a new box no questions asked.

I also recently resigned up using a new email so I could use the glam glow coupon. It wasn’t in my box when it got here, but I submitted a message on their site and even though they didn’t respond, the glam glow sample was in my mail box not too long after.

I’m not sure why so many people have such rotten luck with them, but they’ve been pretty decent for me.

My favorite thing about Glossybox is that they are a sub that frequently includes well known brands. I appreciate that! And they don’t over value their boxes so much with a bunch of lame repeat-sub-box brands, like boxycharm tends to do.

I’ll be picking up this box!

I am wondering if there’s a coupon code? I’m trying the alex ani one and sayin used max number of times…

It actually say the perfume is the $90.00 full size..
Even thou, I’m not tempted!

Phew! I was worried I’d be tempted… and I didn’t want to go there with GB; I’ve had a bellyful of poor CS from Pop Sugar. Thankfully? Not tempted at all! I have enough mascara, lip gloss & lipstick, polish, and eyeliner to sink a ship. An easy no for me.

You just reminded me of my popsugar experience, still no box this month , confirmation or tracking – Ughh. Wont cancel, I like the variety in the box to much.

I was fortunate to experience no problems with my throwback boxes, but I believe I am in the minority. I can see why people like the products. It looks like a wonderful variety of products even though this particular box is not for me.

I canceled my glossybox for these reasons: Shipping took forever, lack of customer service – No return call when I left a v/m – 3 emails and 1 week later I finally got a response. I miss their boxes, yet I don’t miss the customer service, or lack of and all the delays in shipping.

Buyer Beware! Glossybox has terrible/nonexistent customer support! They offered mystery boxes on October 17th and many customers have either not received the order yet or have gotten duplicate boxes even though the ad clearly stated that multiple boxes would be different. My order of 3 is still sitting in packing mode; I have contacted them several times via email, (they NEVER answer the phone), and my last inquiry has been completely ignored. I filed complaints through the Better Business Bureau and PayPal and they haven’t heard from the company either…

When my October box was missing the Tarte lip stain I tried submitting a complaint via their online submission. That is all but useless. I did get lucky by calling them and actually reaching someone that way.

Someone from MSA mentioned reaching out to them via FB so perhaps that will help since you cannot reach them by phone?

btw, my Tarte lip stain did come within 3 weeks of the call. A little slow imo but at least it made it.

As someone who’s done battle with Glossybox’s lousy customer service for two years, I highly recommend that you take your complaint to their Facebook page.
They always respond to that!

Marty

I agree with the FB post advice. So many companies won’t address email complaints to CS but when you take it public you get quick responses.

I ordered my GB 2 box deal on 10/17 and I just got tracking information today….One month later. The estimated delivery date when I sign in says “Between 10/25/14 and 11/6/14 delivery date” and it’s in transit when I try to track it. Very slow and no communication to update the mystery of why they are late sending these boxes out.

Ashley

It’s actually 7 full-size, according to the email. The only one I assume isn’t would be the $90 perfume.

This box is soooo tempting, I love that it has a lip gloss, lipstick, lip butter, the colors look nice. But I hate how late Glossybox ships and I’m scared since people still haven’t gotten the throwback boxes. I guess I’ll save my money and sign up for Hammock Pack in December.

It states on their site that there will be 7 full-size products. I just ordered mines a few minutes ago and we will receive our boxes between 12/1-12/13/2014! Those in Canada might be subjected to an additional 10-days.

Personally, I think this is a great box for me! Especially for someone who is not subscribed to anything. The packaging is BEAUTIFUL and after much research each product has relatively good reviews. So I am really stoke! I think I might just buy this for my mom as well for her xmas present!

I have discovered their shipping dates are not very accurate. My throwback boxes were scheduled to arrive to me between 10/25 & 11/2 and still have yet to arrive.

I paid for a the subscription on October 24th, and was charged again on Nov.11 for another box, but I have yet to receive a box. Is anyone else having this issue? I contacted CS, but have not gotten a response yet. First Pop Sugar , now this. I am aggravated to say the least!

I have had success messaging them on facebook

Im excited! I loved every single item. Cant wait!!

Clau

I am so glad there is nothing there that could be a “must have” for me. I just saved $40!

Reply ButtonReply

Becka

Phew. Can definitely PASS on this box. None of the products are anything I need, and none of the brands really excite me. The box itself is really pretty though!

I, too, ordered the throw back boxes, however after I saw the email, only the 2 box deal was available. I was charged immediately, but it’s been 5 weeks and I still have not heard anything about the boxes! VERY FRUSTRATING! Throw back implies to me, “hey, we’ve put together some boxes from all of our most popular items and we already have them ready to ship”! Especially since they charged me right away. I am a new Glossy box subscriber and the one box that I’ve gotten was a miss.

Reply ButtonReply

Catherine

I agree!! I emailed them and they said that it was taking time to get all of the items. Which is odd since I thought this was an overstock type situation based on the way it was advertised. I am not a regular subscriber and I thought this would be a good way to test drive some of the boxes. Not sure if this is something I want to get into after this shipping mess. I just received a shipping email yesterday for the boxes – I hope you receive yours soon!

Agreed,I’m still waiting for my throwbacks, and November box. It’s weird there’s already December spoilers & the Holiday box. I’ll bet everything is full size, except the Calvin Klein perfume. I’m totally on the fence….especially when FFF has their Winter box for $40 (I’m new) and a higher value with what seems to be more variety. What’s a girl to do?!? Lol I love that red lipstick…but everything else would be doubles for me…

Wendy Z

It also said 7 full size products, so if you add everything but the perfume it totals $130.
