Best of 2014: Book Riot Limited Edition Box!

Thanks to Jenn for letting us know about this new limited edition box from Book Riot! (FYI - this is not through Quarterly)

The Box: Book Riot Best of 2014 Box

The Cost: $100

The Products: "Get 4 of the best books of 2014 and a bunch of bookish goodies in this exclusive holiday box. (Does not contain any repeats from Book Riot's Quarterly or Riot Read subscriptions. Total retail value of contents exceeds $100. )

Purchase of this box sends one book to a community in need."

Are you grabbing a box? I love that they've included a charity with this box - I think I'm going to buy one!

I purchased one, and I’m really excited to get it. It says when you click on the order page that there are 4 Books and 4 Bookish Items and that the value will be over $100. I think that makes up for it even if they’re counting the value as full retail and not the discounted price you can purchase it for on Amazon.

I’ve always enjoyed their Quarterly curations, and books or book related things are never anything I’m disappointed by. Worst case scenario, it opens me up to a new genre/author/book and I decide I don’t like it… best case scenario, it opens me up to something I love. Either way I walk away a more enlightened.

Yeah, I’ve been happy with their Quarterly box for this exact reason. Even if I don’t like a book they include, I feel like I haven’t wasted my time because they’ve made me step out of the usual list of books I would buy and expand my knowledge of what’s out there. And some of the books have made me a big fan of authors I probably never would have read. I tend to buy books by the same authors over and over or stick to literary award winners when choosing something new.

Plus the bookish items are great. The mug and library-card pouch I use all the time. So, I have confidence in their curation of cool lit-nerd goodies.

I would be afraid of getting books I already own because I read a ton and I often look to Bookriot for recommendations on new reads. If someone gifted this to me I would be over the moon, but I’d rather use $100 to buy four books and some bookish treats I know I’d like. Hopefully someone will trade me if they receive something I’m excited about.

Love it! Love the Quarterly box, so couldn’t pass this up. 4 books for $100 is a lot, but there are OTHER items in the box too, so you are getting more than just 4 books. Hoping to see some popular 2014 titles in the box!

I’d enjoy this if I didn’t have to pay exchange rates etc. It get so expensive. Wish there were Canadian options like this.

I bought one. My family is very unadventurous with gift buying so I am never surprised. I will give this to myself with Christmas money from my bro and this way I will be surprised. Yay!

I love the idea of this box soo much, but 4 books for $100 is kinda ridiculous unless they’re all big hard back books. I’m dying to know what it’s in it, I bought two of the limited edition Goodeboxes, can’t really afford this one too.
