I signed up for the 3 month deal for $8.86 and have really enjoyed the 2 boxes I have received so far. The first box contained a full size bag of pet greens roasted chicken jerky and another bag of treats. The second box I chose a toy and it also came with a bag of treats. For the third box I picked shampoo and can’t wait to see what else comes!

I think this was a great deal for $8.86 (total for 3 months) but not sure I would pay full price. I am currently subscribed to Barkbox as well and LOVE the curation, but it is much more expensive.

I received mine several days ago. I got the three month deal and this page came up where I could pick my own item and it had the value of each item. I picked out the thing that was the value of the credit they showed I had which was buffalo blueberry treats.

They are small little training type treats which is what I was looking for to give Lucy (female black lab) when she wants something but I don’t want to fill her up on milk bones. also included was a teeny tiny sample bag of sweet potato chips and a regular item of some kind of jerky things. I normally would not give Lucy any jerky type things as I have a fear of choking but my husband supervised and all was ok……she has just had one. not sure if I will use the rest.

I am unclear how this worked and that’s why I wanted the value of the item to match the credit I had. not sure if I picked something lower in value than the credit I had what would happen to the unused credit. Geeze I hope this makes sense to someone.

So will I get a message from them to pick out next month’s treat?

I will tell you this, if I received ANY rawhide into the trash it goes. I had another lab that choked on that stuff and if you read articles there are warnings. I would send it back or just throw it out. not worth the risk.

As far as bark box goes this month, again with the two toys. I don’t think I will cancel bark box because my husband loves it but really really wish they would limit it to one toy and include more food.

I got mine today. I let them pack it and there were two items.

One was a tug toy that may or may not last. It does appear to be roughly size-appropriate for my dog (95 pounds).

The other was a bag of freeze-dried fruit with coconut oil. It’s a very odd item for a dog (it never would have occurred to me to give her strawberries or mango…) but she seems to like it.

I got mine too and was severely disappointed! We got 2 items a raw hide and a bag of treats. I have gotten the exact same things in the last 2 boxes. Can’t get rid of this subscription soon enough! I think I will go back and try barkbox again. Its sad because my dog sees the box and knows it is hers:(

I got this deal and chose a toy for my new puppy since he is teething and is destroying them about as quickly as he gets them… My box arrived today and I was very pleasantly surprised to have gotten the toy I chose plus a full size bag of all natural jerky treats and a sample size bag of sweet potato chips (both of which my puppy loves). This box by itself was definitely worth more than the $8.86 and I still have two more coming.

Was the code only good for one day?? I cannot get it to work….. šŸ™

It still works I tried it just a few minutes ago (11/10/2014). Just double check your doing the 3 months subscription not the month-to-month or annual. Also, it only works on the snack box.

I just used the code and got it to work, but had trouble using Safari browser. Try another browser and see if that helps. šŸ™‚

I used it today. 11-5-14

This is a good deal. I pay around $7-10 for a bag of treats.

Thanks so much for this. The three little surprises for my spaniel will be most welcome, and such a great price!

I just ordered and picked the Buffalo Blueberry (although I believe it’s actually chicken) I am impressed because it said free range chicken…..I hope Lucy likes blueberries. I got those because they were exactly 200 points and I like the small size because all she wants to do is eat. Although I almost got the sweet potato chips, they came in a BB once and she loved them.
I do love BB but one thing I don’t like (other than too many toys) is it seems they are sending that bully stick thing every month and I am sure they are fine but I’m afraid she will choke on those.

I just got it, and it gave me the option to pick what I wanted, I got all treats. Thanks for the heads up on this one šŸ™‚

How are they in terms of canceling? I seem to remember getting decent responses to e-mails when I had an issue with them related to a Living Social voucher.

I’m tempted to sign up just to get some dog treats. I can swing $9 and if it’s treats only, it’ll probably be fine. (I worry about boxes with toys because my dog is 95 pounds and toys for a 50 pound dog are not suitable for her. But treats should be OK for any size.)

Barkbox has a heavy chewer option. We get this for our Great Dane. I also requested no rope toys which they have honored.

Thank you for this info!!!! I have held off on these boxes because my guys destroy toys (I have to buy only nylabones, the hard jolly balls, or tires from my old pit bike). I can now get them boxes!

I’m really tempted too and I just want treats. I subscribe to BarkBox and they have been heavy on the toys for the last few months. If I am reading their info correctly this plan is one treat per month. I guess that is still a value considering how much some treats are these days. I have to think about it.

I pay like $7 a bag for premium treats, so <$3 a bag is pretty good. Assuming my dog can handle them. She has a sensitive stomach. We'll see.

Wow… I am so glad someone else has noticed that about Barkbox. We have a whole pile of toys that I need to bring to the shelter. My dog isn’t really into toys much – so I’ve been thinking of switching to Petbox in the new year when our Barkbox sub is over (February) . (Figured I’d get treats and bones and MAYBE the occasional toy for her.) This might be good to supplement until I decide if I want to switch.

After my 3 month special deal of PetBox I just signed up the Deluxe Annual subscription. I have been very impressed with items received and their customer care. So far my dog has loved everything received and she knows when I come home that it is her box and she can barely wait for the opening.
