I can never bring myself to get an annual subscription (maybe I will one day on one of my 3 accounts when they offer a palette or something with an annual upgrade).

I unsubscribe and resubscribe every month using 100point codes (or sometimes a different code, like the benefit one not too long ago), most recently added birchbox man and got another 200 points (to make up for the faulty code they sent out) and I already have $100 in points accumulated in only 5 months.

Basically birchbox is a savings account that sends me free stuff lol.

I use it the same way! (Kind of low on points at the moment, though, as I used 600 to get the Vanity Affair box a week or two ago.)

I won’t add Birchbox Man, though. I don’t know anyone who would use the products. (Not saying that there aren’t people who think it’s great, because there clearly are or it wouldn’t still be around. I just don’t happen to know any of them.)

Sweet! I just nabbed a Birchbox Man subscription for my SO and couldn’t be happier! I can’t have afforded the subscription without the coupon. Thank you!!

Hi Liz,

I found your site while looking for a Glossybox promo code and I love it!
I have just signed up for the Birchbox and received a great deal by purchasing the 12 month deal, then I went and bought the Vanity box and received another 20% off and 2 more free mystery gifts.
I can’t wait to read your other blogs and try something new!
What is your favorite Subscription?
I am currently subscribed to Julep, Ipsy, Glossybox, and now the Birch Box.

Thank you so much for sharing all of your experiences. My 11 year old daughter and I are having the most fun!

Have a great weekend and Thanksgiving,
Heidi

Hi Heidi,

You’ve signed up for some good ones! (And the Vanity Affair box is one of my favorite limited edition boxes ever!) Another favorite of mine is POPSUGAR Must Have. (They’ve had some customer care issues recently, but it’s still one of the one’s I look forward to most each month!)

Thanks so much again.
I am going to sign up for PopSugar right now. It looks really great 🙂

I decided to buy a gift subscription to myself and use an email that I used previously for Birchbox (and which still has points) but which had no current subscription. Hopefully, it will come through and re-activate the same account and I can continue to add the points to those I already have.

Additionally, I had the shipment scheduled for the first possible date of the January box (December 26) to avoid a little of the monthly overlap.

When I emailed to ask BB if I would get the points (or the gift recipient) for the subscription order, I was told I would. They also indicated there is a current code to give additional points but I could not make it work when using the 20% off code. No idea if it’s a one-time use code or if anyone can use it.

I also remembered to add a Mystery Gift and use my $10 in points so I got it all for $78.00 and earned 78 points. I don’t think that’s too shabby.

Just changed from a monthly subscription to an annual subscription and added the free mystery gift. All for $88. Plus 88 Birchbox points. Sweet!

I want to get Birchbox. Does anyone which month I will receive as my first box, if I subscribe today – November or December?

Cindy

If you make it a gift, you can choose the month (by selecting the ship date of the first box). HTH

OK – this deal was too good to pass up. For more than a year, I have loved reading your Birchbox reviews, Liz, and $7.33/month is an offer I couldn’t refuse.

I think you will love the subscription – make sure to review your products each month – you’ll get an extra $5 in Birchbox points every month!

Violet

I have been wanting to try Birchbox for a while now. This is a great deal (comes to $7.33 per box) 😀

Gift subscriptions don’t auto renew do they?

Reply ButtonReply

Jayne

Nevermind…I guess they don’t!

I am doing 3 gifts. Bummer that I can’t do it all on my own account. Now I will have 880 BB points on 2 other accounts just sitting there. Since you need $10 worth I guess they’ll just kind of go to waste.

Cindy

I don’t understand why you can’t do it all on your account.

Cindy

I have a yearly subscription but have sort of been kicking myself for getting it since I see those offers of signing up for a month with 100 bonus points rather frequently.

Which is the more advantageous way to go?

Sneaky Burrito

I’m in the month-to-month camp. There are enough 100 point codes floating around that you can cancel and resubscribe fairly frequently, just paying $10 each time but getting 110 points.

I’m a little perturbed. I JUST talked to BirchBox customer service on TUESDAY the 18th and asked if they were running any annual specials or any that were coming up because I wanted to renew. Nope, sorry they just finished up running a $99 annual renewal that you also received a gift box with. If she would have just told me to hang on for a few days but nope. On the 18th I renewed for a year and today on the 21st they have a %20 off. They’ve already charged my card so….. what would you do?

Holly

You should call or email them about it. They might honor the deal since you JUST renewed. I’ve had pretty good response anytime I’ve had any issue with anything in the past and have found them to be reasonable and helpful!

Nicole

I just subscribe yesterday – trying to figure out the same thing. I emailed them, but they said it was take 72 hours to get back to me. Not going to be much help at that point.

Update: I e-mail Birchbox customer service and asked if I could still get the 20% off (that’s an annual renewal of $88.00 – $7.33/box). I indicated I had just renewed 3-days ago and the response was immediate and amazing. No problem she said. Wow what great customer service!

Is the best deal they offer for a yearly subscription overall?

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

This is what I was wondering! Is their black friday sale going to be better? Does anyone remember?

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

Can you gift a subscription to yourself?

Reply ButtonReply

Leigh

I just used the code to upgrade my monthly subscription to a yearly one no problem. Worked out to be $88 for one year which works for me!

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

Did you have to use a different email address then for your gifted subscription?

Liz Cadman

Yep! You just need a different email addres.

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

Do you think they’ll have a better one Black Friday or is this the best deal they do? Wondering if it’s worth waiting a week.

Reply ButtonReply

Violet

The deals were not great. It was all about getting extra points… Like spend $75, get 125 points. No discount codes or anything…

The 20% off an annual subscription (today only) was better than last year’s deals.

Liz Cadman

I’m not sure what their Black Friday deal will be – my guess is that it would be a different type of deal that wouldn’t compete with this one. (Just my guess – sorry I don’t have more specifics!)
